AGUST D 'D-DAY' CONCERT! (Day 2 Seoul) + That That performance!

Comments

Austin I was holding a whole conversation with you during the concert. LOL. There is no way to describe the energy of the concert live in person. It just can’t fully be captured in video. I was on the floor about 5 rows back from barricade and the beat of the music went through my body with every note. It was the most amazing adrenaline pumping thing I have experienced. I could feel the heat from the flames. I was high up the next day and the concert was still just as amazing. He commands the stage and is so at home there. He has such passion while performing. He didn’t move around as much for the Seoul concerts as they were doing the lives (my best guess) The stages being pulled up throughout the concert until he was left on the floor with us was such a statement. It had a huge impact. Yoongi is my spirit animal. He inspires me, he comforts me and he excites me with everything he does. There is nothing he can’t do. He always leads by example. He isn’t loud or flashy at BTS concerts, but he is able to bring it all out as Agust D. I would say I will miss Agust D but I love the soft side of Yoongi as well. I am looking forward to a Min Yoongi album. Yoongi has inspired the others and represented all BTS so well during this tour. I think we will see our maknae morel confident in their solo endeavors now. I fully expect to see them all at Yoongi’s encore concert. I’m trying to manifest Tony Montana with Jimin, Tae joining Yoongi for the cyphers and JK could perform Stay Alive. I’m hoping Namjoon will still be with us and not enlisted yet. I would love to see he and Yoongi perform Respect together. Then all of them could perform the BTS version of Life Goes On with Jin & Hobi pictured on the screen so that all 7 will be there. Yoongi did say that the next time we saw him on stage it should be all 7 of them. I choose to believe that. Yoongi would be happy to share his stage with his members. Thank you for sharing this. Although I was at 2 of th concerts and have watched all the concerts except for a handful that just didn’t have much of anyone live streaming it, I can never get enough. I could watch this concert every day. Min Yoongi worked hard and did well. I am so proud of him. 💜

This was fun :)

I don’t know if there is anyone that has put out theories about his vcrs and stuff but I know he said his albums were meant to be a trilogy. If he plans to continue to put stuff out under Agustd or not we don’t actually know. I felt like he was trying to merge his many different personas this way. Sort of like his picture is merging as well. I could be way off.

He really was having the time of his life this tour, he looks so happy! Jimin already saw him in Newark (they even did a livestream together afterwards) but I’m glad the three of them could be there together to see him too :) Maybe we’ll see RM in August? (They have 2 duet songs as options for a guest performance too 👀 but I’m keeping expectations low not to be disappointed). In LA, Max and Halsey both came to perform Burn It and Suga’s Interlude together, if you’re interested in that! He has the sweetest friendship with both of them. I also LOVE how he chose not to rap over RM and j-hope’s lines in Nevermind but let the audio play instead, it was a really beautiful moment. Looking forward to your album reactions too, there are still lots of new songs to discover!

In one of the concerts Max was a special guest and they sang Burn It together. :) and also Halsey was another special guest in another concert. If you want to check those performances out, I'm down to watch your reaction :D

Min Yoongi is a rock star and he had enough material of his own to have this brilliant solo tour. The thing with the vocal line is that none of them have enough songs to do a 2h concert in solo BUT the 4 of them could put all their solo songs together maybe adding The truth untold and House of cards for the encore. That would be a super special show because BTS members no longer perform solo songs on stage anymore. I also dream of seeing V tour smalls venues like clubs and lounge bars, doing covers of his favorites jazz and R&B. He would so kill it but that's would be too challenging for security reasons.

Just to comment on the breathing that you mentioned in Haegeum... without speculating on his health at all - but having listened to everything he's performed and recorded for years, I can tell you that Yoongi uses his breathing as part of the instrument of his voice - so if he's taking audible quick breaths that sound frantic, it's because he wants the song to sound frantic there.

i saw him perform in singapore !! he was AMAZING !!! .... and super hot LOL

Tetebread

the crowd was on fire!

Vocal line does not have enough solo songs to do thier own solo concert. The rapline have full mix tapes and albums. Jimin album only had 5 songs not enough for full 2 hour concert. Only RM and Suga have enough songs for a tour. Hobi only has enough for an hour or so since he had one prior mix tape and his full solo album.

Loved it. 💜💜

I was yelling at my screen “oh no, Austin! You missed Jimin” like he was going to actually hear me 🫠

Ok finished the watch. Yunki is an alternate spelling with romanization of his name, I prefer Yoongi myself but it's something to keep in mind as the other members have alternate spellings as well. I've seen it in things like their phone game BTS World or BTS Universe Story game. It's also the initials that's on the white lighter in the VCR for this concert Y.K. for Yunki which is a reference to the BU storyline. Romanization is often confusing to me because it doesn't always reflect the pronunciation that well, I understand that somethings are hard to transfer over but I think it could use revamping. From what little I know of the language what equates to the letter "g" for us, for them is actually a soft g sound halfway between the sound of a "g" and "k" almost. So in my notes when I tried to learn hangul I would write it as "g/k", sadly I had to stop studying learning any Korean due to some health problems that have affected my memory badly, my retention is poor now. This was great, Thank you so much for reacting to this! I haven't seen many who've reacted to this honestly. I've seen a few react to fan cams but not a lot. I think that fact that Suga did a whole solo tour is amazing! He really surprised me because I wouldn't even have guessed he would do a full tour, he really is a dark horse. I'm sure he did it because he wanted to as he really enjoys the stage but also has mentioned doing it for the fans because we didn't get a full tour for the group and he knew many of us had been waiting a long time to see them. Also a small part I think to say "don't forget us" but also I think lowkey to say to his members they can do it too if they want like breaking the ice so to speak. Also for himself, all the above really.

Weird I completely didn't remember it being there at all lol, I had to go back watch my vids to see it was there lol. I really wish I could have gone a second day cuz it's all a big blur lol.

I went to the first 2 shows in NY and the AI graphics were there as well...

If you mean have we watched this concert more than once, as in have I watched more than one tour location, the answer is yes. And I've watched this particular show at least three times now! I went to all three nights in Chicago too. Just wanted to comment on what you said about his breathing. Yoongi does use his breathing during his rap as a stylistic choice/tool. I noticed that early on with him and I love how he does it. He has very strong throat/vocals so the growl was definitely a choice to do. He knew it drove Army crazy. He was sick for several tour dates and even then you wouldn't have known it except he kept having to turn his head to cough. He performed at one point back to back three days in a row when he was sick. He really is a power house. On his Encore tour, I wouldn't make the assumption that it will not include a Set list change. I have a feeling he will entirely change up his set list. I can't wait! I'm hoping we get Tony Montana with Jimin and maybe So Far Away with Kookie. Had fun watching this again with you, thanks Austin! 💜 Also, I didn't even notice the line you mentioned!

Hi Austin... Just gonna be commenting as I watch along... That weird cgi must mean something to them because Hobi used it also at Hobipalooza. It's so freaky looking These vcrs have me hella confused. I can usually follow things pretty well but I have trouble piecing the story together

Infinite Ree

Just would like to say you did in fact fast forward past jimin 😂 loved your reaction though 💜💜

Amber Shintaku

I'm only half way thru this but yeah Suga has mentioned he has a really strong throat as he mentioned in a live after a performance, he can growl and scream a lot with it not effecting him much. I think he knows he knows his voice well and has lots of discipline. The AI graphics were just for the Seoul concert I believe. I saw him in Chicago and he was amazing! He was having so much fun and was super charismatic on stage. I think I remember reading an article were the writer noticed that too and they mentioned thinking even tho he is great at bts concerts that among the many different personalities his was more reserved compared to the rest of bts but that they finally got a sense of how charismatic he is by him doing a full solo concert and that he put on a fantastic show. They said it's like having highly talented solo artists that are already part of a super group and they found a new appreciation for just how talented they all are. Yes the vcr as they're called or the video clips did show elements of the bts storyline known as the BU and it was a complete surprise. I mean it's his solo tour and he himself is making the decision to have a connection to the BU for the tour it was really cool to witness. They've been dropping lot of hints to HYYH era where the storyline began with I Need U so 2025 is gonna be interesting, it'll be the 10 yr anniversary of the album.

roguechevelle

Just in case you want to go back and see it yourself, they did show Jimin, Tae and JK during the part with all the crowd signs. It's brief, but still cute. I'm sorry, I kind of laughed a little when you said you better not have missed Jimin. You kinda did. LOL Thank you for the reaction! The line across the screen was barely noticeable and didn't affect watching it at all. <3

49.35 I was at that show in Newark when the string broke. His face when it happened, but he recovered really quickly from it. The best show I've had the privilege to attend in my life so far.
