2023-06-27 02:20:37 +0000 UTCHeard of Woo!ah! but didn't know what made them popular. This was the first time for me seeing Nana and I was pleasantly surprised! From the model strut into the studio, to her style and her dancing. Made me interested in checking some of their content. From the comments I was preparing myself about Wooyeon not singing. Though knowing didn't seem to hide my disappointment since I really love INVU. She probably saw Riina's voice crack and thought if she did that she would have gotten those same downvote number anyway. Either way she may have gotten the same votes. Hindsight. But I guess singing in front of Taeyeon, her idol, must be sooo nerve-wracking, I don't fault her for playing it safe. But it does make me interested in what she's capable of vocally. Pre-show, I think my favorites were Kei, and Jihan (Weeekly). Jihan i've seen morph into any concept well but hoping Mnet doesn't edit her into being too arrogant. She's confident but I think it can be seen as not humble which I don't think is true (as of yet). After the performances and contestant reveals so far (woo!ah!) Nana's strut and the way she carried herself on the show so far has been my favorite. Thank you for starting this series Sir Austin. Love hearing your thoughts even if you stop to look up details of a member. It helps me learn too! Looking forward to your next episodes!

After GP999, Bora joined another survival show, GIRLS RE:VERSE, where they perform as AI characters. Chaeyeon was the main dancer of IZ*ONE but she can hit those high notes, too. Also, back then it was amazing that IZ*ONE, a temporary girl group formed through MNET's Produce 48, had album sales that were breaking girl group records beating blackpink, twice, red velvet etc. Ofcourse those records are broken now but their short career as a group was really amazing. It's not surprising that even after the group disbanded the members are still very successful as soloists, actresses and members of new girl groups (IVE and LESSERAFIM).

Her debut track was “hush rush” and I was obsessed and couldn’t get it out of my head lol she’s a main dancer but the song I just loved and the choreo is kinda unique … her newest comeback is really good too and it’s called “knock” and it would be cool for you to check those out! I’d def hope for a reaction hush rush live performance and knock for the choreo… but I really like what I’ve seen from her. She’s actually the older sister of chaeryeong from itzy lol they look identical! I liked this show and will be interesting watching something as it’s happening!

2023-06-16 09:19:58 +0000 UTCI laughed so hard I was in tears when you read out what songs by rocket punch that you reacted to 😂 bc you kept mentioning pride month… also happy pride lol but bim bam bum , bouncy and juicy just made me think you said bouncy juicy bum lmao like my brain tuned out the beginning words of the title and swapped them but yeh I was laughing so hard .. had a gutter mind moment.. my bad lmao! Also just remember they’re pushing the down vote and the up vote based on themselves. The instructions were to hit up if you think she’s better than you… and hit down if you think you’re better than she is…. So it’s very different from wether they liked the performance or not… If that makes sense. So unless the baby idols blow them away or something then it will be hard for them to say the baby idol is better then them… I think it’s also why they’re hitting the down button for something as simple as a wardrobe malfunction… but it’s just an excuse to make ppl feel better about having to vote like that

So who knows.. you could be totally surprised w someone new! That’s the exciting part! Also, I think all of them for the most part are extremely talented bc they’ve all debuted and it’s not an easy system to be able to do that! It’s also not necessarily who is the most skilled if you’re looking for a group.. others may fit better as a unit… if that makes sense.. but we will have to wait and find out I guess! It’s intriguing for sure! Also it will be sad for those who don’t get chosen to be one of the 7… but regardless they will all get some sort of interest boost just bc they did the show .. that’s what’s cool about these shows

I do think one factor of Chaeyeon leaving was her solo song suddenly doing well on the korean chart but they may have been others factors im sure not of. Chaeyeon was in IZ*ONE but is now solo artist (recommend her title track KNOCK), she is under WM ENTERTAINMENT, agency of ONF/OH MY GIRLS/B1A4. She is well know for her dancing, always mentionned as one of the best female dancer, honestly WM ENT have good vocals line but also strong dancers from Yooa (OMG) to Yuto (ONF) and Chaeyeon (solo). Yuto and Chaeyeon often dance together. They are close with a lot of dancers and acknowledged (Yuto did BE MBITIOUS and Chaeyeon STREET WOMEN FIGHTER) A lot of contestants know each others from survival show : PRODUCE 48 - Juri, Miru, Riina (she was also in WM during PRODUCE), Chaeyeon, Suyun GIRLS RE:VERSE - Haein, Dohwa, Bora, Suyun, Juri Both Jiwon and Bora did GIRLS PLANET 999 (Ke1per survival show) Juri coming with the mannequin, she is so funny. I watched her on GIRLS RE:VERSE, she always bring chaos with her 😂 (Sad I didn't get my interaction Juri/Haein, they were so cute together during GIRLS RE:VERSE) The preparation time for their performance seem to vary, I heard Chaeyeon only had 6 hours to prepare. Dohwa was clearly nervous also when you watch the full cam it's lacked a bit of energy but I think it's been a while she didn't perform. During GIRLS RE:VERSE since it was virtual, they weren't moving as much. It's such a shame for the dress Zoa and Jiwoo did really well. I'm glad you understood Suyun vote (ADVICE), I know a lot of people didn't understand people downvoting her but I get it, I also think it would have been better to lower the song a bit. For Wooyeon, it's a shame, I felt like she could have done it but because nervousness x3 by seeing Taeyeon and I think she felt shaky at the middle so the fear took over and she decided to not do it, hope she can gain confidence. She did well considering those factors, i'm like Jihan just for being brave I would have upvote (Also I saw Taeyeon live and truly she make it seem easy when it's not 😂) Jiwon and Bora did so well, I'm so proud of my Cherry Bullet. The song done by Bora aka MY SEA, was one of the song from GIRLS PLANET 999 during one of the mission. Bora actually wanted to perform it back then but couldn't because of her rank so she ended up in the rap section so it's made me so emotional seeing her doing so well with that song. Yeoreum, I'm glad she get to shine and show more of her skills. Out of all the members, I think she was one of the member who get the less of solo schedule so I'm personally happy she get this opportunity. For now, most of WJSN are doing solo schedule also I'm not even sure STARSHIP planned a comeback for them, STARSHIP just suck, their management with WJSN is terrible and it's always annoy me. Still waiting for a WORLD TOUR

And nope, there's 6 members, not 7 like you'd expect....they did debut with 7, they just lost a member a year ago. Yes, Miru is Japanese. She was a contestant on Produce48 representing one of AKB48's subgroups - they have different subgroups for the different areas of Japan (and also other countries like China). You know, we actually never saw Rocket Punches' votes. I'd be willing to be Mnet were just inferring they'd all voted down Jiwon and it's more of a friendly rivalry than anything. I mean we literally saw Chaeyeon down vote everyone so it definitely wasn't all Rocket Punch but I feel like that's what they were trying to portray at the time. I don't know much about woo!ah but I saw Nana in a video with Nayeon from Twice. I really have a soft spot for her after that, she seems really sweet. I'd honestly really really recommend learning hangul. Not even learning Korean but I've found learning the alphabet really helpful for knowing who's onscreen. I'm autistic and never learned another language because I was told when I was diagnosed that I'd never be capable of language learning. But I learned it in like 2-3 hours. It's a really intuitive written language...if that's the right way of describing it. For example, 'ㅏ' means 'ah' but if you add one extra horizontal line,'ㅑ' it becomes 'yah'. As opposed to this alphabet where there's no specific rhyme or reason to it. I really think most people could learn it in 30-40 minutes. You got the wrong Jihan. This Jihan in Han Jihyo from Weeekly. She's a cancer :) Tri.be is the group with Kwon Yuri's cousin in it. Jiwon needs to be in musicals. If she's not already, someone needs to get her in a musical jc...

But I was disappointed by Wooyeon, I do think she can do an honorable job covering the song, but due to nervousness and insecurity, she just decided not to do it. I would have downvoted it too, it's a Taeyeon song, it's much better to not dance and nail the vocal part than the other way around. I really hope she can redeem herself going forward, she deserves the opportunity.

Mnet really ramps up the evil editing for their survival shows compared to queendom and kingdom so I'm glad you're not falling for it. Since Chaeyeon left the show I feel like the editors could have spent their time better than trying to make her the villain. I don't know why she chose to leave the show but her recent solo comeback Knock was really good. I was watching the livestream on YouTube so the Kei cliffhanger really got me. They always cliffhanger the last performance when they take place over 2 episodes. The 2 missing rocket punch members showed up after the introductions but before the performances. They were the Yeonhee(Barbie) and Suyun(Taemin's Advice) but they never announced that they'd arrived. The performance videos you found on YouTube for Snap and Charismatic they released before the show aired but in the show that should be the next mission. So if you want to be surprised by who's in which group you should wait to watch those. However sometimes when Mnet releases performance videos well in advance of the show they don't actually air them in the episode itself because they assume that everyone has already seen them. They also released a video for a song called Rise Up which is all of the contestants singing together. Again no idea if Mnet will ever put that in the episode or not. I really enjoyed the reaction! It's refreshing to see someone who isn't familiar with every single contestant coming into this with an open mind. I'm only familiar with about half of the contestants.

We most likely will get Kingdom 2 before that though. Hopefully we do get Dreamcatcher on there since the requirement has always been that you needed to have a music show win to go on the show now they have one.

2023-06-14 22:35:37 +0000 UTCYey Queendom Puzzle! The concept of Queendom Puzzle is that they get girl group members to compete and form a group every performance week. There will be members change per group throughout the season and fans will get to vote who they want for the final line up. I think they have mentioned in one of the descriptions that they want to create a group like 'GOT the Beat'. They already showed the girls' performance video on Mcountdown (4 songs in total, i think) and with the names of the groups that they formed and even with the outfits for some concepts you can really tell that they are really inspired by 'GOT the Beat'. I haven't watched this show yet and I'll definitely watch it with you when I'm off work tomorrow. Hopefully I won't get too tired. If not, I'll watch it on the following day 😊
