Some EPIC performances!

Oh yeah Skz are rly good at mashups, they do it a lot for their album teasers. They don't do like a straight this song into this song, a hard cut,but basically its a whole new song

Amasaden

That was the point of the controversy. Older teams didnt know that they can reuse their existing sets without counting it to the budget

Zuz P

Ateez's budget was actually not that high, basically everything on stage is recycled from their MVs/performances/tour (yes even that giant tentacle), so it was in the company's storage.

I’m so behind watching things. It has been crazy with all kinds of content dropping everyday all day. 😂 I enjoyed this very much. Looking forward to the next episode.

Kellzie

I'm happy for that person tho, they got to fully enjoy the show compared to some of us. Still, there was definitely a lot of shit happening lmaooo, but I guess it's all about perspective and especially on Twitter who you follow, how well you filter the content you allow on your timeline, etc

mirela23b

Twitter was hell, basically, but elsewhere was fine. Twitter was where the hardcore voters were, creating multiple accounts and strategizing about how to vote so their faves would win (which was kind of pointless since in the end, the winner would have been the same without the voting, lol).

So for stray kids we have “3racha” for the producers which has bang chan, Chang in and Han for the producers. They produce a lot of songs since before they debut and still holding the title the highest self made producers for idols . Also for dance we called “danceracha” which has lee know, hyunjin and felix . Lee know is the leader for performance and dance for the whole skz. And also ofcs we have “vocalracha” which is seungmin and in. And yes for lee know he is so beautiful and handsome but we barely recognise him at the early skz debut bcs jyp barely give him any screetime and lines while he is amazing dancers and vocalist. He is originally my bias from the beginning bcs he caught my attention even he have least lines. He is very close with Han jisung and we even ship that so famous called “minsung” bcs their tension and relationship is smtg else. Idk but nowadays they moving wild and even act like husband and wife lol . Hope you will checkout this ship soon . And for ateez they well known as having a pirate theme.if you see their MeV you will often see their story related to pirates .Also hongjoong and Mingi produce some songs for ateez. Hongjoong also produce a debut song for xikers a new boy group that debut under kq entertainment(ateez juniors).

Lee Know became my bias wrecker through this show. My SK bias has always been Felix and Lee Know was never really on my radar so I always leaned towards Seungmin as my bias wrecker but this show solidified that it's Lee Know for sure lol. My favorite was still iKON. I am so far in the minority for that and I know it. I think it really goes to show how my personal feelings about certain songs impact how I feel about performances. I was pretty far removed from fan stuff while it was airing so I didn't know about fanwars if there were any, nor do I ever pay attention anymore. The next episode will be so exciting though!!! I can't wait for it!

kisa1909

The comment right below you said there were no fanwars during the show when it aired lol shows how different our timelines can be sometimes lol

Praying the reaction comes sooner than later bc the next episode has two of my favorite performances of sf9 and btob

Armystic

I loved the performances.. but I went a little ahead of you bc I couldn’t wait lol and out of all the groups from the beginning… I cared the least about sf9. I hadn’t even heard of them… however… I completely fell in love with them in the next couple episodes and I’m so excited for next weeks bc it has one of my favorite performances of the season for multiple groups… I can’t wait!!! You’re going to love them.. I really think you will… I loved BTOBs performance next episode as well.. and they were the group I was second least interested in lol but they’ve both become groups I adore!!! All the groups honestly… so much talent , personality and sweet sweet humans in these groups. I’m dying for you to see the next episode lol hope it goes by fast for you to check it out! I’ll be waiting patiently!!! Checking out more sf9 I stumbled into an area where apparently rowoon doesn’t like being kissed… and I think the member Dawon is a kisser? Something like that but I saw this clip of rowoon laying on the ground in a dance studio and dawon straddle him and kiss him on the face 😂 it was cute. Excited for you to react to the other stray kids songs… or any other songs you didn’t know from these groups yet… they’re all really worth it!

This was a great episode with amazing performances. Stray Kids slayed it, Ateez were soooo great, SF9 were great, the idea with the mirrors was good. But, you could see very well which teams had the higher budgets and that`s kind of sad, because SF9 and iKON could have shown more. BtoB are great in every aspect and I a happy , that they didn`t ended up in last place. I`m looking forward for the next round, this will be awesome.

Simping over Lee Minho is totally Valid 🔥🤣 And just like you I didn't knew of hyunjin at all because I also saw this first but now after seeing hi " Oh he is definitely one of my ULTS' I wasn't going on Twitter when I was watching this so I really don't know about the online stuff but personally I love all these groups more after watching Kingdom. They all had a lingering impact on me. Some of them even joined the ULTS list In short they are all so talented and precious 💕 Re-watching this with u all the way... Also u nice KEEP GOING 😄

There weren't any fan wars during Kingdom like there were during Queendom. My opinion is it is because of how the self-evaluations were done. In Queendom they deliberately pitted each group as enemies during the self-evaluations as they had to pick a group who was "lesser" then them and then give an explanation. Then that team lost points. That is literally a mean girls position to put everyone in. In Kingdom they just said pick your top 3 and we aren't even going to make you say who you picked. Plus MNET's dirty editing in having to make villains out of certain people in Queendom, but not in Kingdom.

was about to spam with 3948494 comments while watching this lmao, but decided on a single long ass one instead, as I had multiple thoughts popping up in my head rewatching this with you is nice as I'm a lot more detached from the shitty fandom experience that was happening when this aired. I'm a multi stan too so the toxicity left and right definetely ruined things a little at parts AND I was actively ignoring all fandoms, especially the bigger ones. full on ignored and stayed away from it but it was still unavoidable to hear about the nonsense they were saying/doing but also, watching this again... just makes me sad all over again because I felt Hyunjin's absence so much... he's a great performer, has one of the most outstanding and impactful stage presences in the group. I just know he would've had a lot of key moments in all of these stages. just the first stage alone where he had most of the killing parts already showed that *sigh* oh what we could've had.... simping over Minho is inevitable, man's just ridiculously pretty and hot all at once wooyoung's constant energy of "go bestie that's my bestie" @ everything changbin does gives me life all over again. can't wait until you get to the episodes where they interact more, their dynamic is hella entertaining I agree on the dance break at the end of ateez's performance. that had me so hype and it truly completed the stage. they have such a wild energy in general, but they really went all out on that one and yes, if I'm not mistaken ateez and stray kids were among the 3 that were informed about the budget increase, along with the boyz and that aspect was fully visible with their stages compared to the rest, if you ask me. still hate mnet for the shit they pulled there... man I WISH taeyang had solo projects, he's a spectacular performer

mirela23b

So alot of people already told you about Lee Know but yeah, he is one of the main dancer of the group and the leader of the dancing unit too, he really likes cats too lol, he's been my bias since like 2019 so yeah, I understand you. About the round itself, I really hate when they show the last place of the round and they get sad about it, like i get its a competition show but still, i feel so bad for them :c, now if i had to rank the performances based on my opinion, it would probably go something like: -Ateez, the choreo, vocals and concept were amazing, it was also the first thing i watched from them, so it was a great impression, a very epic performance - The boyz, I liked that they went in a different direction with their concept and no air remains to be one of the best songs to ever exist in 4th gen lol - Stray kids, im not the biggest fan of either of the songs they performed (i dont dislike them, but i think they could have gone with a different combination), but they slayed the acting, dancing and told the story so well - Ikon and Sf9, i cant choose between these 2, I liked the ikon's songs and energy on the stage better, but i liked the concept and storyline that sf9 had better, so yeah. - Btob, they slayed the vocals as they usually do and I liked the song, it just didnt stand out to me that much compared to the other performances, however it looks like Minhyuk is going to do some stuff in the next episode lol Im really looking foward to the next round, which is also always my fav, I have seen only 2 performances out of the cover round (like in both seasons of queendom we got alot of iconic stages like Hyolyn's so bad, mamamoo's good luck, aoa's egotistic, viviz' unnatural) so im excited for the other 4

Mr Clean

Ateez's performance is one of my faves from the whole show. It was tough for them to do this while also doing all their comeback activities. Yet they always kill it live. The budget mistake was shitty. It did give some teams an advantage with a more spectacular stage. I think SF9 did well putting theirs together with less budget. I love the mirror trick.

To clarify it wasn't really drama between fandoms - there were some fans (I'm not even grouping people to say specific fandoms - you know randoms online are loud when angry) that were attacking specific groups mainly on I think Twitter from what I saw. Most people were chill about it because the groups just did what they were told and still made AMAZING performances. From my understanding the 3 groups informed of a higher budget were ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and The Boyz. Oh, as for ATEEZ a lot of their performances are tied into their "universe" so you might not understand everything about them. It's a little (very) complicated lol but intriguing. And Lee Know in Stray Kids did the same thing to me...all a sudden he just stuck out one day and I became captivated ever since. If Stray Kids show - my eyes just shoot onto Lee Know. He's so attractive! ATEEZ's concept involves pirates since their debut. It's also why the don't call Hongjoong their leader, but he's their Captain.

KPOP Stan Sara

The fact that you kept being drawn to Lee Know was so funny to me. He's my Stray Kids bias. I love his delightfully weird ways and his love of cats. And you were right about him being a main dancer!

Mel

Lee Know is beautiful! Yes you got it, he's a dancer (the dance leader)! He's the one who was a former bts back up dancer. You said Seungmin has puppy energy which is hilarious because that's his whole thing, he gets called a puppy all the time, his merch character is a puppy, he barks, etc. You're def picking up the vibes today haha. Yes when skz are called self-producing idols they actually mean producing for real. Chan, Changbin, and Han are the primary composers and lyricists, and run the recording sessions, and then Chan also does instrumentation and arranging. You'll see more of this as the series goes on. And yes that's the studio where Chan does most of his lives. I recently watched the behind the scenes for this performance - Chan had to sprint to get to the spot where the dancer is hanging upside down underneath him - he sometimes didn't make it in time during rehearsal. But it all looks seamless on the day! The chant they did before performing is "Stray Kids hoo!" Just a yell. Can be heard in their song Miroh which is the song from round one. I'll be back once I get the chance to watch the other performances!

K E

It was some minor drama that on the day of the filming for round 1 the managers of the 3 older teams (BTOB, iKON and SF9) were like uhhh our budget was this much how did the three younger teams have all this stuff so then it was revealed that "apparently" producers hadn't notified their labels that the budget max was changed to a higher number so you can notice those 3 have more simple set designs not that their performances were any less but still kinda was shady on the producers... but its Mnet so was anyone surprised. I think every group in round 1 stuck to what they are known for since they wanted to send a message to the world about who they are so in both episodes no performance was really a surprise, like this episode I was expecting big more hardcore performances from Stray Kids and Ateez and got that SF9 gave us elegant sexy that they are known for and put a darker spin on it that then after Kingdom was woven more into their comebacks so half expected half new.

vip_insomnia

When I was watching this the first time, the budget really bothered me! Btob and sf9 had the lowest I think! But btob doesn’t need budget when they have the vocals! Btob definitely were the mvps of kingdom imo!

Jenn BL

And in the voting process you would have to vote for 3 teams for I to count and of course you couldn't choose the same group 3 time so it also brought new fans to the groups

שלומית ג'יבלי

As an atiny I don't remember fighting between fandoms and there was actually friendly to each other Love your reaction ♥ ❤

Loved watching this episode again !
