Bring The Soul: The Movie

Bring The Soul The Movie!  I loved it.  I'm always surprised at how well the movies are filmed/edited.  They're able to make it feel different than the docu-series.
Anyway - the boys worked very hard!  I can't wait to see all of the actual concert/tours!

to know why people dressed up as bananas, you need to watch house of army : https://youtu.be/k46JY4ifGuA it is forever iconic 😂

Regarding your question on concerts...people will go down to the venue at different times for various reasons. The main reason people go down super early in the morning is to stand in the merch line. Merch is known to run out so if there's a popular item that you want to get, you need to get down there early and stand in that awful line! They will also often have booths, etc. set up around the venue that you can go to and check out for fun. People also go down in the morning to get their VIP soundcheck badges for soundcheck in the afternoon. Depending on the venue, you will want to go several hours before the doors open to stand in line to get in, even if you have assigned seats. I went to PTD in LA days 3 and 4 and we went down 2 hours before the gates opened to stand in line to get in. They seemed to have learned some things from days 1 and 2, which were horrible. It didn't take us too long to finally get thru the gates, we were in our seats at least 30 minutes before the concert started. I also went to D-DAY day 1 in Chicago last week. We showed up about 45 minutes before the doors opened and the line was super long but still not as bad as SOFI. We lucked out as they ended up opening another set of doors for a second line and we happened to be standing near it so we were able to get right in. It was a much smaller venue than SOFI stadium so people got in fairly quickly. But I heard that the concerts in NY still had people waiting outside to get in right before the concert was supposed to start so they delayed the start of the concert by about half an hour. I found that it was helpful to check on twitter to get an idea of what it was like down at the venue beforehand so we could get an idea of how early we should go down there.

all members are equally loved by ARMY, none of them gets overlooked. We all know they love each other equally, there is no need to prove anything. Overanalyzing their relationships always ends up in victimizer and shipper/solo narratives, which is harmful for the members. We are fans, we should know our place.

I have social anxiety and when I'm stressed I get really tired but somehow I didn't feel this way at BTS concerts not only because of the excitment but also because of the positive energy of other armys there so i think you'll be fine :) and I stood in line for 7 hours when I had floor tickets but it was definitely worth it and for soundcheck at Wembley stadium whe arrived at around 5 am so we didn't have to wait that long and got barricade so for me it was 100% worth it :]

Genius Yoongi

The B-sides is what I'm living for 🌻

Other people only talk about their biases too, I know the most information about them so Ill talk about them the most, and no Jimin and Jungkooks bond is ALWAYS overlooked, anything that happens between them always gets dismissed or made into something "everyone does", or even worse, disgusting names are called about them. Im not talking about here specifically, im talking about in general

kookmineve

I think the two army were dressed up as bananas because of Jin's iconic costume in House of Army ;)

Lela

47:10 that's Love Maze :)

Lela

I’m just saying because I only see you talk about those 2 in the comments, rather than ot7. And literally nobody in the fandom overlooks their bond. We appreciate every member’s friendship. And there’s no need to over analyse their bond either.

Jimin and Jungkook truly leave everything out on the stage, it means so much to them, like when it was raining in Chicago and Hobi was telling everyone they needed to be careful and specifically said Jimin and Jungkook I am talking to you because they put everything into performing

kookmineve

At some point I thought Jimin and Jungkook took turn to cry at the end of the concerts … they are so emotional (not in a bad way) and sensible … love them all so much I could cry too every time

Ailaudy93

Also Rosebowl SY LA with Jimin crying

kookmineve

Since tears and cries are your weakness this is some of the hardest ones : - cityfield concert : Jimin - last concert of SY era : Namjoon - one concert D1 : Jimin - end of tour 2017 BTS live trilogy episode 3 : the final : Suga - first concert in London LY tour : Jungkook - Brazil SY tour : Jimin And obviously concert in Paris LY tour : Taehyung

Really enjoyed rewatching this with you. I liked this movie more then the last one as they didn't bother with doing narrations and had more scenes that were different then the docuseries especially the dinner the members had. The Grammy Museum interview was actually good. Now bts is selective and more careful about what interviews they accept. During 2017 and 2018 they were just accepting interviews left and right in America excited to be seen by fans but it was rough, they went thru a lot of dumb interviews some we got some classic meme moments out of it even tho questions were mostly dumb but others not so much. They even did some performances for radio like iheart jingleball and did radio interviews with dj's most not having much respect for them and of course none were gonna actually play their songs, maybe some played clips or 1 song for that interview but that's it. There were a few exceptions with dj's like Zack Sang and Maxwell from z100. And with the Grammy's someone above commented very well that army cared only because the members wanted to win a grammy otherwise we don't it's very out of touch these days and the voters only vote for names they know and generally will not even give a foreign language album a listen. A few western producers that worked on MOTS:7 album really thought it should have been nominated for a grammy, it was submitted for album of the year, best engineered album, and best pop vocal album .And I whole heartedly agree it deserved a nomination but they only gave the nomination to their single at the time Dynamite because English. Also in my personal opinion they granted a nomination to bts for Dynamite because months before BTS performed briefly at the grammy's with Lil Nas RM had done a version of Old Town Road with him called Seoul Town Road for 2020 Grammy's and they saw the draw bts had with their fans and potential views. So they had them perform Dynamite for 2021 Grammy's but kept teasing them for 3 hours "up next bts" and their performance was the very last time slot of the evening and they had to cut a verse from Dynamite to fit the time as the were given 3 mins exactly. It was pre-recorded because of covid. Then 2022 they performed Butter, got a standing ovation (tho I can't remember if they was shown on tv or not but behind the scenes cams got it), and they were one of the biggest talks of that evening. I think they thought and army thought they really had a shot at it this time but nope. But they pulled the biggest flex by having their Las Vegas concert shortly after and renting out the building the grammy's were held in that year selling out a live viewing of the concert there. And it was like a week long boracity festival in Vegas.

Commenting this while still watching but regarding JK and his vocals sitting down! He actually said himself when this happened that he feels more confident with his singing when he is also dancing. Technically I would think it would be better to sit down and breathe properly, but for him the dancing adds something that makes him more confident. Maybe he is more used to the breathing patterns that come when he sings while also dancing, idk but i think it was in their memories of 2018 or something but they didn't add that scene in the movie or the series. I think it was right before or during the middle of this concert backstage when he was practicing his vocalization and stuff, and he was like damn my singing is better when i dance or something like that!

Klara

Can’t wait to watch kingdom this week!

Armystic

I am commenting while still watching this so haven't finished it yet but BTS and Grammy situation is this. We as army don't care for grammys cause they just use BTS for views. BUT the boys so want to win a grammy. It hurt the boys when they lost during Dynamite and Butter. You can tell they really want to win and we want them to win because they want it so bad. But yeah they are still underrated and haven't won a Grammy.

Farhana

So i have been an army for like 4 years and always wanted to watch this with someone but idk why I never did, then i just started to fall for more groups and forgot about the movie, this is a great opportunity to finally watch it with someone Ü

Mr Clean

When I saw the Tae's fan cam of the ending song of Paris show, Answer: Love Myself, on youtube, I cried along with him. Can't wait to see you react to some b-side songs soon (when you have time.) They are truly amazing.

lucy

Well they are my biases, so I just know more information about them, likewise does anyone who provides information about anything, and it just so happens to be that Jikooks bond tends to get so overlooked and forgotten alot of the time, (which is crazy considering how close they are), so I will provide any bits of info as I go along

kookmineve

Are you only here for Jikook? Lol

Nicole ♡

Omg citifield was my first ever BTS concert :(( I miss it. We usually go to the stadium much earlier than concert start time because theres a lot of fun activities and booths to checkout around the stadium/venues throughout the day! Army also go around passing out freebies and doing dances and its overall a festival-like fun experience! People also usually line up for merch or soundcheck earlier. Of course you can always show up 30 minutes before the show and just line up at the gates too lol. They used to have general admission for floor during their venue/arena tours which people lined up wayyy early for. But for their stadium tours they all have assigned seats on the ground floor, except for certain countries like Brazil, etc.

Ray

Jimin and Jungkook are always right there for each other when the other is sick or injured, you saw it in Chile when Jimin was only the member left allowed in the room when he fainted, and then again when he was the only person there when he got his stitches removed, the fact they are able to have someone with them in situations like that means everything, and you will see more of it the other way round of Jungkook to Jimin in Break the Silence

kookmineve

The LY Seoul, LY Citified New York DVD and the LY Europe DVD making films provides WAY more footage that was even cut out of the Docuseries and Movies (plus Memories 2018 dvd has even more, but you are probably a bit away from starting the rollercoaster that Memories dvds are), but I really would love to see you at least watch the 3 LY dvds possibly before you move onto Break the Silence, as it fills in more gaps. Then there is the same for Break the Silence with SY Sao Paolo, SY London and SY Seoul dvds. Then once you have completed all of that, I would love to see you react to all of the MOTS ONE DVD, you really can see how they were going through things during the pandemic, and how they went through everything behind the scenes whilst practicing for that. Also for my own sake, thats when we learnt about Jimin and Jungkooks suspicious neck bite incident which kinda blew up twitter for a while

kookmineve

I do love watching the movie and the documentary. I always find it interesting how much they edit out or choose what to leave in the movie or save for the documentary. Unfortunately I haven't been to a concert but I'm assuming most people go early to get merch or they have soundcheck. It seems to take awhile to get into the venue as well even with assigned seatings. Yeah around this time I think the Europe tour they had alot of I guess problems. JK hurt his foot , jimin had I think muscle pain and Tae got sick/vocal problems. I'm sure all the traveling the guys were just really tired as well. Yay you are going to watch the commentary part. I do love when we get those. Not sure if it's too soon to watch 🥺 but if you bought the hobi documentary on weverse you get a 25 min commentary from him.

JoY

I went to one of the Las Vegas concerts, and yeah, it was a religious experience lol. Like so many others, I got into BTS during a rough time, so seeing them in person was unbelievable. I had soundcheck and front row seat in the middle of the thrust stage. I still don't know how I got that seat after seeing how insane it was to even get any ticket. I was in shock for a while afterward, it only took me about 25 minutes and got the last front row spot. And I was at the venue from about noon to 1am. But I got there early for soundcheck. It still doesn't feel like it was real, even a year later, if I didn't have pictures in my phone. But it was worth every penny and every hour!

nicole

also if you havent seen it, you should check out their Grammy performance from last year and their Youtube Episode since it shows them putting together their performance despite Jin having an injured finger that he had to get surgery on and then JK and Hobi got COVID just days before the show and had to quarantine so they barely had time to practice the new choreo all together and still did amazing :)

The Grammys are def the most prestigious music award show but putting so much weight on them is dumb bc the "Academy" selects the winners with no clear-cut criteria and are known to be very corrupt and racist/xenophobic. It's still a huge deal that BTS were nominated since it was historic for a Korean act to get nominated finally (even tho they never gave their Korean music the light of day and only nominated them after they made popular English songs lol) but the Grammys still shouldn't determine what music anyone finds good or meaningful in my opinion!

Sarah F

Wait was that Carla or someone else ? It looked a little like her😂

JoY

Here's a link to that grammy museum interview from 2018. If I remember it was a good interview the guy asked really good questions . I mean compared to all the other questions they got asked around 2018 this had more than who do you want to collab with. LOL! . I know I really loved namjoon and yoongi's answers. . https://youtu.be/pLxoq7mcsg0

JoY

Last comment… BTS appeared on the competition show I-land which is where the group enhyphen came from and they were answering questions trainees had or things that were concerns.. and jimin said that they could relate to missing their families bc they only see them TWO to THREE times a year. That was in like 2020 when he said that… that’s a bit devastating for them I’d think.. they all love their families… but I’m glad that this group became a family.. there are other groups who are close and love one another.. but there’s something special with BTS imo and their bond.. it’s very special… so I’m glad they have each other and the staff that take care of them as well. 💜
