Posting here in case I can't get it unblocked on YouTube.

Reacting to BTS "Beautiful, ON, We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal & Permission To Dance" MVs!

Comments

The BTS cover of Fix You is beautiful. I also love RM and JK's cover of Troy Sivan Fools. I think that was the first time I really heard Namjoon sing.

COURTNEY Bertrand

So beautiful was also apart of Rookie King episode 5 i think. Also there's a small dance practice one my favorites it's just really cute. https://youtu.be/sm4FFFBgbmg Since those guys did beautiful Jin yoongi and namjoon made a song the name is originally in korean I think it's called adult child . It's in Rookie King too but like somewhere in episode 7 or 8. They also had a dance practice also cute . https://youtu.be/qaOMutxg1OE I'll remind you about them once you get closer to the episodes.😊

JoY

Yes, I was just thinking about that while watching this! I definitely see this as a song telling ARMY to trust them because they'll be back together again.💜

Thanks for these reactions Austin! So since you mentioned the storyline, I do want to let you know that all the Offical BU related content will have BU certified content written in the description. I personally feel like the offical On mv is a separate oneshot storyline just for On, but I could be wrong. I just know for sure about the BU certified thing, not that something unrelated to the BU couldn't fit into the storyline. I watched one of Xcelecte's more recent BU related videos and she was connecting Film Out to the BU(Which could fit, but is actually for a Japanese adaptation of a Korean Drama called Signal. The drama's story has, at least one, similar theme/concept as the BU). Btw, there's a reaction by a British Priest to On that I actually liked a lot, you might like it. He points out a lot of biblical references(which for someone like me who isn't religious, but does believe in a higher power) that were cool to learn about. If I ever went to a church, I'd like it to be his. https://youtu.be/UFwfTaMXEAo There's also some great reactions from people in the film industry that point out a lot of stuff that seems like movie references. I enjoy LoveTheBasics film break downs of BTS's mvs a lot. Oh gosh, WAB: The Eternal is so beautiful and one of my favorites! I wasn't with BTS from the begining, but I'll be here long after the end.💜 For me I'll always be ARMY, even when the guys eventually move on to the next chapter in their lives.

DanielleM

Ah Austin you are TOO funny. I enjoyed this reaction so much and laughed SO many times. I actually almost choked because I was eating when you said that about they should just go to the food court when the girl left 😆 Then the part about joining the cult. Same! You should see some of the PTD live performances. Yoongi does this booty wiggle during one part of the choreo he has become famous for. My fav part! WAB The eternal movie has a lot of symbolism in it beyond their music videos, I.E. the black wave etc. Suga holding his arm. It references so much of the crap they had to go through. It's one of my fav songs and once you know all their history and past mvs the music vid is a gut punch. It's so beautiful. Best cover, I vote for Jungkook and Jimin's cover of 'We don't talk anymore.' Those two's voices together is my fav thing. BTS as a group also cover 'Fix You' by coldplay and 'I'll be missing you.' Both really good.

Amaris

BTS in PTD, hmmm. Back then, I wondered how they would look like in a Western movie. RM, the cool, calm, collected Mayor of the town. Jhope the sheriff, safeguards everyone's peace. Gunslingers Tae and JK. Then Tae on a horse, would come galloping and create a ruckus in the town. JK, a champ in all shooting competitions. Jin, the amiable barkeep making sure that his saloon is the happiest place to be. Finally, Suga and Jimin as the stoic and cheeky bountyhunters, always bickering on who gets the criminal. 😏😜😂🤟. P.S. Austin, I continued my comment here because it was getting long in YT. 😁💜

Lane. L.

ON is not part of the BU content. Any video that is part of the storyline will be marked official BU content in the video. I do hope we get a live performance of Vibe. Jimin album is coming out next month he is gonna be busy.

The amount of “look at jk—-“ or when you started to say something during the PTD mv and he’d pop up or do that little solo section pointing to us smiling and you went “ok—-“ and immediately into 😳 during his spin was so priceless lol most of the stuff you watch is older and he’s younger…. But 2019 on… he can be a problem for a lot of ppl lol jhope in the chaps was poignant to cause chaos for all of us lol rm and the hair with the arms, Jin with the sunglasses to don’t blond us with his sparkle the whole mv, yoongi beijg the cutest squishy human until he dances turning that booty at us , tae in all red with that hair can only be perceived one way lol jimin being so smooth and sweet while sexy it’s just a constant conundrum with these 7 boys I tell you!!! Love it!

Armystic

We are bulletproof eternal is devastating… seeing the black ocean and all the trials and really horrible things they went through… I’ll never forget them finally getting to perform this song with army at ptd LA… you should check that out… I think it was day 1…. They were so emotional but proud … like they sang it at the mots online concert.. but they never got to sing it with army until that ptd concert. It was an exceptional moment!!! Also honestly that song came out after what was supposed to be them taking their military enlisting and ch 2 starting but then dynamite happened lol Also I watched BTS watching their “on” music video and they had no clue what most of it meant either lol

Armystic

@Maria R. Ahhh thinking of it all hurts my heart... wondering what could have been, and mourning what should have been for MOTS:7. Where would the success of that album and tour have taken them?? It's so weird to think of... covid changed so much for them

Nicole

Loved this. WAB: the Eternal mv made me cry the first time. I still get a little choked up sometimes when I listen to it. Before they debuted and shortly after they released songs & vlogs on youtube, released free songs on soundcloud, & opened a twitter account. They released alot of other videos post debut like bangtan bombs and later anniversary specials. This helped them gain an good number of international followers especially surrounding countries though they had a small dedicated k-army that grew, they were initially more popular outside of Korea likely because they got exposure on social media platforms when they didn't get that much on Korean music shows or tv. Alot of their cover songs are actually "remakes" as I call them meaning they add their own lyrics sometimes a little, sometimes a lot like it's a completely different song sometimes. Seriously they could have a whole anthology album series from their soundcloud releases alone, honestly I think it'd be really smart to release a "soundcloud songs" album in the next year or 2 fr or a Live Stage mix album.

roguechevelle

Looking forward to watching you react to more BTS songs💜

Mai

before bts ptd concerts anyone could react to ptd with no problems but after the concerts since they filmed it are probably making dvds plus the online concert and the version on disney plus now anyone who reacts to it gets blocked ive seen a lot of reactors have that song blocked if they reacted after october 2021 prior it was fine. some channels get away with it but a lot havent been especially after the disney plus release.

tori

@Nicole The first time I heard WAB: The Eternal I thought the same thing. Them revisiting so many of their old songs during that time, the 7 album, and then that song all made me think a break for enlistment was going to be announced after the planned tour. And it seems that was the plan until Covid changed everything.

Maria R.

please react to bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste and a explanation of we are bulletproof the eternal by bookish theories she breaks down the lyrics and imagery cause a lot of the imagery are very specific hardships that all armys should know about and never forget.

tori

That sucks for your channel because only every other reactor and their mother has a reaction to that MV posted, huh

kolea626

It was 100% the PTD music video. ContentID system keeps thinking I’m reacting to the PTD Seoul concert. The Mariah cover was green ✅ no issues.

Sir Austin

I can tell you right now YT is giving you issues because of the Mariah cover and not because of the BTS songs. I watch another reactor and he always jokes that when he "wants" to go to "jail", he'll play a Mariah song, specifically the DJ Khaled collab, and bam, his livestream gets taken down. It's a joke between himself and those who watch him all the time but Mariah and her team/agency/copyright people are notorious and they have whatever it takes in the YT algorithm to protect her sh*t, just saying. That's why she's Mariah, and the rest of us are not.

kolea626

I left a comment on the youtube reaction, so not sure if you saw it. There is a video explanation for ON that you can watch. There is a lot of symbolism in it and it helped me to sort it all out. I love your sense of humor. When you questioned if you had joined a cult I about fell out of my chair. 🤣 Well, I’m in too deep too!!!!! As far as the BU storyline, do you want to watch explanation videos or dive into all the videos, webtoons, notes etc for yourself? There are a couple of opinions out there. One of them was before many sources came out and is incomplete leading to a possible skewed conclusion. I would recommend xceleste’s explanation videos. I’ve watched all the music videos, the webtoons and read the notes for myself and I agree with xceleste. She did an updated video as of 2020 and it is the most up to date one I know of. https://youtu.be/2-DEu3ZJtEU We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal is one of the most beautiful and meaningful songs to me. The part asking “why are you still walking with us?” gets me every time. Don’t they know we are Forever With Bangtan? I’ve never felt like that with any other musical artist or celebrity. BTS & ARMY 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Kellzie

WAB: The Eternal mv was for their 7th anniversary (festa), but it was also included on the MOTS:7 album. This is just my theory… the boys mentioned this year that they were meant to take their break from group activities/begin enlistment after that album and tour. I always felt like WAB: The Eternal sounded like a goodbye for now song. Just my opinion though.

Nicole

Jimin and Jungkooks We don't talk anymore and their Mistletoe covers are two of my favourites, any time those two sing together is perfection, their voices work the best together and they have such incredible chemistry, I really hope one day we can get an official original subunit between them. Jungkooks cover of Only Then is also another favourite

kookmineve

The part where Tae then Jin sing "tell me your every story, tell me why you don't stop this, tell me why you're still walking, walking with us" in WAB: The Eternal makes me choke up every time. Like, HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW?! WE LOVE YOU! You should have been on ARMY Twitter after Fake Love came out. There were so many jokes and memes about being part of a cult (due to the robes, etc. in the concept). 🤣 FYI, ON is not part of the BU. All BU MVs have "BU content certified by Big Hit Entertainment" on them (under the Show More/info of a YT vid). There are some videos ARMY still speculate or think fit the BU (the Film Out MV feels very BU), but only ones with that line are officially part of it. Permission to Dance was such a joyful song that brought happiness during a difficult time for many in the pandemic. I cried (many of us cried) when we saw the part where people started taking off their masks. It was a ray of hope.

EKMontie

Start with I Need U (Org. Version)! There are lists that will tell you the order!

Booryanne

In the PTD video, they highlighted people who had been very significantly effected by the pandemic. Front line workers, school employees, children, older people, etc. Notice the restaurant and the school are empty? When the actors all took off their masks, it was a sight we were all hoping to see at that time. The choreo even includes ASL! Like so much BTS music, this video was so fun to watch and the music was so upbeat, but it really had a lot to say. And they said it while being sexy cowboys.

Laurie

My theory for On...JK has powers and was imprisoned because people feared him then his people were closed inside the wall and were losing a war, the trees died, V and his sister are sick and she is blind, RM is praying at the site of the crashed ark, etc. JK breaks free and his power coming near again brings the bird back to life, cures V's sister, opens the gate. Then he leads them in battle to take back their home and freedom, the trees grow green again, they're free. 🤷‍♀️ Cliffs Note version 😆

SamanthaC

Anitra has a list of all the BU storyline videos. There are also explained videos - the ones by xCeleste are the most popular - which explain the storyline, and cover the storyline information that can be found in "The Notes" (which are notes that came with the albums, and were also compiled into two books that tell the story, if you just want to READ the story). That being said, ON is kind of a stand-alone story, set in a different world. The BU story is a story set in Korea following the lives of 7 youths, in various hard circumstances, in a fictional city.

Alix Drifty

Please Jung Hoseok in the chaps. OOF. Never getting over it.

SNBangtan

For the BU content I found this guide http://bucontentgui.de/ .... When you are done with the BU guide and you are still struggling with connecting the dots I suggest to watch xcelest summary guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xs-WyzB_zg&t=875s She explains it very well

Priske

Bulletproof Eternal was released as a gift to ARMY at their 7th anniversary FESTA in 2020. It was the first FESTA during the pandemic. Permission to Dance was released as pandemic restrictions and quarantines were first being lifted, and was to give hope and say This will End, and there's still things we can't do, and there are things we can do even in the pandemic. For instance, we don't need permission to dance, and we can still accomplish a lot, even now, etc

Mary Leona Weaver

V in Beautiful is just :')

Hindbaertuzze

as i was gonna say on youtube but then refreshed to see if anyone had said anything and got locked out LMAO, the ON mv is officially a standalone story (not that people haven't managed to "connect the dots" and draw connections to the storyline ofc lmao)

Diz

Me 2

SugaIsMyPetRock (Pamela)
