Let's GO!
I'm excited to see the rest of the performances...
I think I'm starting to have a favorite!  LOL.

Another great episode. I love watching people getting to know Loona for the first time. You can see that they put there all into the preparation of these performances. I loved how they showed Yves and Heejin working on the choreo while they were at the cafe. ALso WJSN performance was pretty great. I love how they were cradling the props as to avoid having another mishap like with the hour glass. And Minyoung, on Brave Girls is just gorgeous. I was heartbroken to se that they were dealing with those covid symptoms, and yet they put it all together and Mvsk their own. Can't wait to see the Viviz, Kep1er, and Hyolin performances.

The part that was not translated properly in this episode was actually one of my favorites. It was when Eunha said that most of WJSN's songs are high because of Yoo Younjung *They focused on Younjung and the caption was that she was on Viviz's watchlist*

Game Caterers x Starship episodes were soooooo funny. đŸ€Ł

No, the rap part wasn't originally in the song. Officially their leader, Sowon is the main vocal but they're not really a rap focused group. They were primarily known for that fresh schoolgirl/ fairy aesthetic, which doesn't usually tend to lead to rap heavy songs. I also think the idea of YG being the rap heavy label is not really accurate. Sure, if you're JUST looking at the big 3 or are just getting into kpop, it's a great starting point if that kind of sound appeals to you but I really think that apart from CL, there are better female rappers in other labels. Examples being Moonbyul from Mamamoo, LE from EXID, Jessi who's a soloist, Chaeyoung from Twice (which I think might be unexpected to some given Twice's music style but even go back and look at some of the Sixteen performances - her flow in "Nobody" and that one JYP song is great and while I like Twice's music, I do think the style holds her back as a rapper). Oh and of course Dami from Dreamcatcher! Oh and Yoon Mirae. Look no further than 'Black Happiness' for best Korean rap song. Just if you're looking for some more great rappers :D

Tbh MVSK belongs to Brave Girls now in my book. It’s the only version I listen to.

Loona said they didn’t want to give off powerful and overly sexual vibes bc they’re always that kinda powerful, whimsical kinda elegant beauty type thing
they said they wanted to show a more “cheerful and youthful” side of themselves.. so don’t think the sexy vibe of sistars was what they were going for directly
it was more like taking sistars song and turning it into their own version of the song. I hate musicals type stuff but I loved this
I thought the vocal parts were gorgeous although I duno it didn’t sound like fully live with every singer.. but maybe it’s the audio.. I duno but I loved the storytelling after they set up the scene for us
the choreo was incredible and fresh
it was unique but def a musical type vibe .. and the bits of acting were perfect
the quick change stuff , the additional scenarios , the sliding the girl down the bar as she laid on it.. it was just this complete package performance. However I don’t think the song or even choreo stood out to me
it was more performative and storytelling imo. It was great tho and sadly the member that just left was the one I loved her voice
 unique sounding

Totally agree with the wjsn performance
like separately the pieces of the performance were awesome and they def slayed the whole thing
but I didn’t know the original song either.. but the intro part with the deep, dark tones
. Followed directly by a lot of very bright voices with a lot of high notes that sounded bubbly to me
just didn’t really mesh well. The spoken parts helped a bit and the dance solo helped as well
it just felt disjointed a bit even tho separately it was all awesome. Also I’m not sure if the rap was in the original but there was a backtrack for that part bc she was dancing while rapping but it was like her rap timing was off so part of the rap was all jumbled bc she wasn’t matching the cadence of the rap properly
which was unfortunate bc that was another part that made the intro and outro vibe sections fit better
but we lost that there a bit but they really are insane vocalists and dancing , stage presence they’re super strong. My first K-pop experience was blackpink and while I enjoy their music and performances
through last season of queendom and this
I can see why a lot of K-pop gg fans have such a problem with people saying they’re the best at singing, rapping and dancing lol bc every group I’ve seen could out dance them and out sing them easily
I don’t think I enjoy any gg rappers like I do blackpink
but I think they’ve just got a better understanding at yg when it comes to delivery
not speaking about the lyricism.. but they rap stronger than any other gg rappers
 outside of 2en1 and soyeon
but rose probably would have fit in vocally very well with wjsn. She’s got similar color and tone.. I kinda feel like they need a richer more deep toned vocalist like Jisoo or Jennie’s tone bc a lot of them sound pretty similar.. but the techniques and belting was nuts
 wildly impressed

I know it's kind of unrelated but you enjoying the scene of MX and WJSN reminded me, are you interested in watching game caterers? Big fun show that I think you'll definitely like. There's a HYBE, YG, STARSHIP special of the show and maybe you can skim through an episode to see if it's content worthy for patreon because I think it definitely would be.

My favorite peformance out of the 3 was WJSN, like i really like how they kinda remade the song to fit their concept better, but all 3 of them slayed
