TickleTown: Betty Images
Added 2023-10-20 00:37:16 +0000 UTCI received a request to post images of Betty to the Patreon. She's kind of an unsung heroes of our classic TickleTown material. Really ticklish, cute belly, definite girl next door.
One of my more interesting stories involve Betty, that I'll not share outside of the Patreon. At the time of the shoot, I wasn't living in Seattle. So I had to drive pretty good distances to get to an urban area where models were active to keep up the TickleTown shoots. I met Betty through a professional acquaintance who also shot with her that day. As it turns out, we met at a spot that was about 150 miles from her home, and her ride just abandoned her. So this professional acquaintance drops her off, introduces her to me, and just says "bye." I'm like....what?
So this model is in my hotel room, 150 miles from home, with no ride home and no place to sleep for the night. I was just thinking "Man, my fiancee is going to love this..." So I shot with her, got her some dinner, offered her the couch in the main living area (it was a suite, so my bedroom was its own room), bought her a Greyhound ticket to home, and drove her to the bus station in the morning. I also gently encouraged her to seek a new talent agency...one that didn't abandon her at a shoot 150 miles in the middle of nowhere with a guy she hadn't met before.

Back when I was recruiting, that was kind of the aspiration: would I like to introduce this person to my parents? Purely a hypothetical because I was already involved with someone long-term and always keep a professional boundary with those I work with. But still, for the kinds of models that folks like to see laughing, it was a good test :)

I cut ties with the photographer after that, and I never had any working relationship with her agency, so nothing really happened there. But ya, to leave a new, 18-19 year old model in a town by herself, with no way home, is pretty shady. And this was the early days of TickleTown, so cell phones weren't nearly as prevalent as they are today. I don't think she even had one then.
