RazeXR - 0.2.4 - Early Access

Good Evening Patrons and Happy Summer Solstice!

It's getting late here, so I'll keep this fairly brief.. as you know it has been quite a while since the last RazeXR update. It had reached a stage where there weren't really too many additional features that could be added at this point, not until the underlying Raze engine itself had support for things such as 3D models for weapons and much deeper support for mods and scripting.

Which brings me onto the next point.. since the underlying Raze engine is seeing a great deal of change and will continue to do so for some time to come, it doesn't make a great deal of sense for us to be continuously chasing the ball, and re-writing chunks of the VR implementation that are broken because the engine has moved on and left the VR port behind. Therefore we've decided that RazeXR will remain at version 1.7 of Raze for the time being, and when the time comes that the engine code is in less of a state of rapid change then we'll pretty much have to rewrite most of the port to bring it up to speed, but by then hopefully there will be a lot of new engine features to take advantage of (fully scripted games, model support, more mods etc)

So.. for now.. there probably won't be huge changes coming to RazeXR for some time, but we are open to suggestions and bug fixes (there are a few things I need to look into like the screen shaking when you fire weapons in Blood).

However there were a few comments regarding the angle of the weapon sprite vs. controller angles etc that can be easily resolved, so this release seeks to address that:

0.2.4 Change log

• Implement weapon Pitch adjustment in the menu (and defaulted to the standard Team Beef port angle)
• Implement weapon Yaw adjustment (in case you want to tweak it)
• Added "Mighty Foot" (quick kick) - you can activate it by using the thumb-rest like a button, or by holding Grip+Main Trigger

NOTE: You will need to delete the Raze.ini file in order for the new key binds to take effect.

Hopefully this update will be a bit of a bonus for those who were a bit frustrated with the angles the weapons were at.
