This episode always confirmed for me that Alpha & Beta are just crazy versions of a Carol & Daryl relationship for sure. I never questioned Betas loyalty to her even when he's mad or finds out she's been lying to him or the pack. Also, it's sad and clear this episode that Alpha does have a heart and can't let go of her daughter no matter what she claims or denys. I Will give it to Alpha though for managing to protect Lydia in a zombie apocalypse for 7+ years with hardly any walls. Truly love this episode and Alpha, (Samantha is just outstanding) she's the best villain in my opinion. Alpha and Beta would never betray one another just like Daryl with Carol. Beta just clearly knows her too well & saw her unravelling because she's missing her baby. Also, i noticed all the parallels between these two, both in past and present scenes, like for example both Beta and Alpha having a meltdown over losing someone they loved unconditionally family.
