I’m not gonna get into specifics because I don’t wanna spoil but something happened to Michonne within the six year time jump, an incident that caused her to be how she is now. So she basically cut Alexandria off from everyone else. We’ll see what happened to her in a future episode but that’s the main reason why she’s so estranged from the core group. I remember watching it the first time and being so confused as to why the communities were so badly separated.

I feel like it made you not enjoy the intro to the whisperers as much as I expected you to. This is a whole new level of enemy for the groups and it'll be even more intense since they are all kinda disconnected right now so its about to get GOOD
