Remember how they had pictures of smashed in heads hanging above their beds to celebrate? And they had a “kill wall” where it had arrows pointing to bullet holes and blood and a spot where they make the victim stand before they shoot them.

They LIKED killing and torturing, remember when Rick’s group raided the satellite outpost 2 different times? The first time when Glen went in to assasinate them, they showed that the Saviors had pictures on the wall above their beds, pictures of innocent people with their heads smashed in like what Negan did to Glenn and Abhraham. They had that shit ABOVE THEIR BEDS SLEEPING AT NIGHT! They celebrated it, the torture the cruelty, the murders. They also showed the 2nd time they raided the Satellite outpost they had a wall that said something like “>KILL THE BITCH HERE<“ and it had arrows to a spot for the victim to stand and be shot, with arrows drawn leading to bullet holes and blood. They literally made games out of murdering people, like NEXT LEVEL sick and evil. So in my opinion they do deserve to die, they don’t get to just live in the new world and get a pass.

2025-07-26 14:07:11 +0000 UTCI think if there is a question Rick was not asking was if the saviors (the ones that really are against the way things are going rn) really want to be there or be a part of it. Because it seems like it is what they want, to keep peace, but some don't want that at all. One year and one month have passed since they surrended, and from this episode some of them were really against picking up fights. Alden has a point on trusting some to have guns and he is the best to choose, imo. It seems like Rick also sees them as "them" and not "us" too. He hears them for crop needs or basics, but is a bit closed to hear about them protecting themselves without relying on others. Some others just want to do the negan way, I am sure, cause I always knew some of them were there because they liked what they were doing. But at this point, why not ask again who really wants to be part of that future instead of trying to keep the optimism that things will not go south because they want to? Although that would be also dangerous cause they sure would be plotting something, but at least many would not feel like the bigger group (rick's, maggie's, ezekiel's) are trying to reject them. What rick is trying to build is beautiful, but he gotta recognize not everyone wants that, not everyone wants to try it, some will prefer the other way, and those should be free to go. Again, in MY opinion. Also, I really like what they wrote for Oceanside and Arat. I think I commented before how some of them liked murdering. One thing is Simon killing you, the other is to have fun with someone begging to let your 11 yr old brother live. I have little siblings and I think taking a child's life like having a fun time is worse than killing adults. Some changed but their pasts were never really discussed and this is an issue, because the troublemakers, the killers and the people who just want to live in peace are all mixed now. Such a complicated situation, but not everyone wants peace.

2025-07-26 11:59:22 +0000 UTCI've never understood people's sympathy for Arat, She brutally, joyfully, and mockingly killed an 11 year old boy (note typically only the leader of the group would have speeches like that, indicating she went out of her way to rub salt on the wound) compared to Arat, Gregory is a saint. If it's just to execute Gregory for treason, then it's merciful for Arat to be killed in the quick way that she was.

For those who haven’t watched, doesn’t this season already feel different than the last few? You can just tell that there’s a new show runner.

Honestly, as much as Jed is a dickhead I do understand his perspective. Rick disarmed the saviors so they have no means to defend themselves (granted, most of the ones who are being hunted arguably deserve it). I think Arat did truly change. I'm not saying they should forgive her, but vengeance is a perpetual cycle. Vince brings up a great point at the end. I think without a shred of doubt that Rick would've killed Negan if he had a hand in Carl's death.

I believe if Rick still would've been able to talk to Carl the way he did when Carl was slowly dying, things would've ended up the same way.

So that's not a reason to make the easy emotional decision. Rick entered that crowd an everyone calmed down . Maggie in charge. But Rick is what is keeping everyone in line . Hilltop is a farming community. It's has no experience dealing with danger an criminals. That's what Maggie took over. Maggie leading an they trying to follow her example.
