Am I the only one who was mad the worker #11 got a happy ending? She was a worker and killed hundreds of people. She only cared for that man and his daughter because she had lost a child. whose to say that if she didn't lose her child she would've had the heart to want to help him. Definitely dont think she shouldve got a happy ending

its crazy that we look at Gi-hun as the good guy who proved that humans can be good but he did bad things to ultimately take down the bigger evil. & its crazy how in-ho asked Gi-hun "do you still have faith in ihumanity" meaning you (Gi-hun & the viewers) might be good but humanity isnt & out of 456 players in both games only maybe 5 were deceent people.

amazing show. im not seeing how an american squid game could come close, would much prefer a prequel on how the games started tbh

imo squid game has one of the more realistic endings to a show. not everything gets tied up, theres loose ends, people get away, sacrifices are made and the cycle continues

Alot of people misunderstand the ending of the show: The show has many abstract themes of poverty, hierarchy, capitalism, sacrifice, humanity, hope, the cycle of violence, inequality, and so much more, but why bother when you want happy endings that betray the entire point of what the game means and what the show is portraying? Gi-Hun’s sacrifice: Gi-hun's decision to sacrifice himself to save the baby signifies a newfound understanding of human worth beyond monetary gain. He embodies the message that even in a system designed to exploit and dehumanize, individuals can choose to prioritize others. The Baby: The baby's victory is symbolic of the future generation and the hope for a better world. Future generations should not be burdened by the same systemic issues that plagued the characters in the Squid Game. The Game: The game's brutal hierarchy mirrors the power structures in society, highlighting the stark divide between the wealthy elite and the struggling masses while questioning free will in the system. The games depict how those in power exploit and dehumanize, while showing how desperate circumstances can force people to take risks they normally wouldn’t. The explicit imagery of the piggy bank represents how wealth can become a central motivating factor in people's lives under capitalism. The Game’s Reach: The final scene, with the ddakji game and the appearance of a recruiter (Cate Blanchett), suggests that the Squid Game's influence is spreading to other countries, hints at a global system of exploitation and competition, mirroring the themes explored in the series. Cycle of Violence: While Gi-hun's actions represent a positive change, the Front Man's escape and the continuation of the game's recruitment process suggest that the cycle of violence and exploitation is not easily broken. Creator: Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk emphasized the season's core message is about the dangers of unchecked self-interest and the importance of collective responsibility in building a better future.
