The size and speed of the small digital camera was important for the quickness of the shots with major London locations empty. Also Danny Boyle thought the digital format provided a gritter appearance to the film. There where alternate endings to this movie as well and they may have been shot in film. 2025-04-23 16:27:44 +0000 UTCin an interview danny boyle, the director said that the film was filmed with a low end camera not by accident or low budget. it was a decision he thought would give the movie even more of an eerie mood, much like those founded footage movies. also, the new 28 years later that is coming out this summer was shot mostly on an iPhone 15 to try and recreate some of that mood.
