2025-07-18 10:00:07 +0000 UTCWell you could see in previous movies Dumbledore knew what was gonna happen before it did (He knew when Harry and Ron were in Hagrids shack under the invisible cloak, and he told Hermione to spin the rewind necklace 3 times and they could save multiple lives, and they showed up outside the door when he was literally just talking to them in the room) Its BEEN obvious that hes been knowing and doing alot of stuff behind the scenes.

The ultimate demise of Tom Riddle was the fact that he did not have The Elder Wand... Right? Right. (lets assume this to be true for at least this post). Dumbledore knew this. He knew Tom having the Elder wand would elevate his power to maybe even a level Dumbledore himself (with all of his followers) could never defeat... So he had to stop this from happening. Step one.... Don't go bragging you have the freekin Elder wand to begin with.... Check. He literally never told a soul. Step two... Eventually sometime he would die.... Make a plan to HIDE the Elder wand where Tom could NEVER FIND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is super duper important. Dumbledore can't stop Tom when he is dead right?? Right. So Tom better never have the Elder wand. Dumbledore knew he was dying after messing up with the ring. So... Time to make plans to hide the Elder wand where Tom could never EVER find it... Right?? Right. Sooo.... How best hide something from someone who will literally spend their entire IMMORTAL life searching for it... Well... Obviously you have to hide it right under their nose (oh crap Tom doesn't have one Hehehe...) In Plain Sight.... So they don't even see it... If it's in plain sight... and they see it... but they don't SEE it... Then... well... No Amount Of Immortal Life Searching Would Ever Find It RIGHT??? Right. GREATEST BOSS MOVE EVER!!!! "The wand chooses the wizard". Tom wrongfully assumed that killing the wizard who had the wand meant that he would now "be it's rightful owner". Tom was a power hungry fool. A VERY powerful power hungry fool but a fool non the less. He was wrong. And Dumbledore knew it. The wand chooses to follow the wizard it sees as a master of the arts that it wishes to also master..... The wand is a useless piece of wood without a wizard. A wizard without a ward is NOT useless... but no master of the arts. They NEED each other. They Want each other. They BOTH thrive with each other... "The wand chooses the wizard". Draco disarming Dumbledore proved in battle that Draco (OF ALL PEOPLE) "Bested" Dumbledore... Dumbledore ALSO (this is important) had THE Elder wand... ("The most powerful wand ever made") for YEARS and Did Nothing With It!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (This is important). Remember... The Wand WANTS to master the arts... The wand WANTS to be used... And Dumbledore had it.... But WASN'T Using it... The wand wanted a new owner. But the wand is loyal to a fault... The wand will NEVER betray the owner. Even if it's not happy about how the owner has been using it... Or not using it. It wanted a new master... Enter Draco. Draco disarming Dumbledore was a breath of fresh air from the WANDS point of view. It wanted a new master. And Draco "bested" Dumbledore in combat. The wand ACCEPTED Draco as it's new master. And Tom Riddle was ultimately Defeated in that very moment... Tom views ultimate power as ultimate power. Tom will not, Can Not, WILL NEVER FOR A FRACTION OF A SECOND, Ever ever consider the possibility of Draco.... (in Tom's eyes... a crying weak little school child) who never did ANYTHING worthy of Tom's recognition of Power as the Defeater of Dumbledore,,,, Dumbledore... The one and only wizard in existence that Tom views as an equal in power.... The only wizard Tom has EVER feared... and Draco "bested" him??? NO. Can't happen in Tom's mind. So Tom... even with a thousand years of Immortal life after Dumbledore's death... would never... Ever, EVER be the Master of the Elder wand... It can't happen now. Because Tom could never understand that Draco defeated Dumbledore in batter and was the rightful master of the most powerful wand that was ever created. Because Dumbledore made it so. Everyone else was playing Checkers... Dumbledore was playing 4D Chess. Think about it. Then go back and think about this story from a new perspective on a Re-Watch.... I promise you will notice so many things in the background you didn't know to pay attention to the first time watching.

I'm just so happy to watch it again with you guys but also I'm so sad why did it have to end? By the way, after watching this series, be sure to listen "A Window to the Past" soundtrack. Sometimes you miss very important plot points and explanations just because you have each one EarPod in and talk over the movie. There’s A LOT of people subscribing and watching, it’s baffling that you still share a pair of EarPods and don’t invest in a better setup. Not saying this as hate or anything, it’s just a suggestion that’s been brought up by many people. Great reaction overall tho, thanks for finishing this series of movies. :)

2025-04-19 21:50:31 +0000 UTC1:33:35 it really surprised me how you didnt understand until then that harry was a horcrux even though it was literally said like 10 mins prior and indirectly multiple times this movie... i get that you cant take everything from the plot first watch even though i think that it would help if each of you had their own headphones and you tried not to talk over almost every major plotpoint.. and yes, i get it, its a reaction and thats why i watch you guys but i would prefer it if you would just pause the movie for a couple of seconds if you want to say something. This way you wouldnt constantly miss major plot points and i dont think that anybody would mind if a video that is already two hours long would be 5 minutes longer that way. In contrary it would be much more enjoyable if the viewer has the feeling you really understand the plot and dont just watch the movie for the sake of watching it.

In your "Half Blood Prince" reaction when Professor Slughorn is telling Tom Riddle about Horcruxes your immediate reaction is that Voldemort put one in Harry.

2025-04-19 18:08:16 +0000 UTCWhen reading "Deathly Hallows" the week it came out, I remember getting to the line "Of course it's happening in your head, Harry. Why should that mean it's not real?" and putting the book down because it made me so emotional. To me it felt like she wrote it specifically for the readers and fans as a kind of meta closure right before the end. It was a 10-year journey (which feels like an eternity when you're a kid/teenager growing up waiting for each book to drop). Knowing you were mere pages away from it being over was devastating in a way. I've read hundreds and hundreds of books since, thanks in large part to this series, but I can't think of another line that hit me as hard as that one.

Allowed himself to be hated and spat on in order to help Dumbledore defeat Voldemort. Went against Voldemort when it was not convenient to do so in order to protect lily and her family. Throughout the series people are always questioning his allegiance but Dumbledore always stood up for him. Now we know why.

Instead of breaking it like in the film, he uses it to fix his broken wand and then returns the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's tomb because he believes that if he dies a natural death then the power of the wand would be gone.

Now another theory about the elder wand belonging to the killer of the previous owner so Snape killed Dumbledore, Nagini (the snake) killed Snape, Neville killed Nagini. Neville the true chosen one and rightful owner of the wand harry destroyed 🤣
