Hey Rangers! Get ready for another thrilling episode of The Walking Dead! We can't wait to share our reactions with you—hope you enjoy the ride!

The Walking Dead (Season 5 - Episode 15)

Comments

Rick made reasonable points in an unreasonable way. If he wasn’t crashing out and planned out his delivery it would have been better. However, I also doubt there is any easy way to give Alexandria a reality check. They are not strong enough to all survive getting forced to face what the world became but are too oblivious to strengthen themselves preemptively. Each group is struggling with an opposite issue. One is consumed by the harsh reality and need to find a way to limit the mental toll and the other is so sheltered that they won’t face that is gradually falling apart.

Elizabeth Slocum

When Deanna said “We don’t kill people, this is civilization Rick” it made no sense. Execution has been a part of civilization since the very beginning. If Deanna had listened to Rick, then her husband would still be alive. He said people die and there’s times like this when you can decide who and when or it can be decided for you. It was decided for her the very next episode.

Marco

Sonequa Martin-Green's performance is incredible. She displays Sasha's spiral and struggle with PTSD and two heavy, close losses back to back really well. I always felt for her so much.

Zero

Ik im like a month late but it is cool watching these. I was a super fan up until season 5ish. Seen the first three seasons 15 times prob, season 4 a lot. I watched up until I think s8 as it aired but I think I only really watched 5-8 once, back then. I will say… it is much better to binge. Or to just watch at your one pace. I actually remember the commercials being the first issue I had with Twd, would be a few mins of filler then commercial. When you don’t have that, it actually sorta lets you enjoy the filler.

Cole

I see y'all moved the book😀

AJ Jr

The fact Rick hit/knocked Carl to the ground immediately after Pete backhanded his wife is some very good evidence to how far gone his mental state was in that moment

Jack's World

WE ARE THE ONES WHO LIVE!!

Big Mike

i need season 6 🙏

robby

Rick is being realistic he's not to far gone

Michael

This is my favorite episode of the entire series and idk why but I just love it sm

Abigail Lucille

Nah Shane and Rick’s situation is completely different. Jesse’s husband straight abuses her and the kids to the point where it seems like he’ll even kill Jesse. Shane was falling for a woman and kid who thought they lost their father/husband. When he Rick came back she made it clear she was with Rick and only did the things cause she thought Rick was gone. Shane also took advantage of that when the world ended. Also when he came back Shane should have moved on but each episode he got worse and worse to the point he was willing to kill Rick (his brother) for no reason and “force Lori into a situation” (CDC). Not to mention Shane was willing to do ANYTHING to anyone to survive and get Lori (Otis). I get what you mean bout the “words” Rick says feels like it’s the same thing Shane did and stuff but Rick’s situation is valid while Shane’s was wrong. Jesse also clearly wants to be away from Pete and interested in Rick as she asked him for help haha. As always though LOVE THE REACTIONS and can’t wait for more!!

Walker

shoshana's face during the carl/enid tree scene has me dyingggg 😂

Kat

iconic

nsavz11

sheesh man i didnt even get to say anything yesterday but holy shit man i cant get over the last scene such an iconic walking dead moment

NorthhSZN

But i see both points

Salina

If she wants the doctor to stay then put him in a separate house so he cant hurt his family, ya know? Like dont just leave him be

Salina

How do you figure? Carol is playing a smart game to make sure her group is as protected and safe as possible. The world calls for that kind of stance now even if it would've appeared out of hand in modern civilization. Which I do understand that the whole idea of Alexandria is to try and rebuild civilization, but the reality is it's not there yet and that's not how the world is anymore. Carol is being smart. If she was out of hand she'd be volatile and trying to kill everyone, but she's not. Her presence of mind and intelligence is there and her heart is in the right place and always has been.

Krysta Anderson

Carol has been too out of hand for a while now and Rick is unraveling but Sasha is definitely in grieving

Courtney

I love Rick and he is no Shane but I am not afraid to admit he is acting a little out of control.

Courtney

Michonne knocking out Rick helped redeem the group a little knowing that there were some who pushed back against their leader

Courtney

Nicholas is a real POS.

Courtney

Rick was ready to kill Pete before he did anything wrong or even knew about the abuse, literally exactly like shane

A - FTW

Why yall keep saying he sounds like shane when it’s two completely different circumstances.. we watching the same show? lmaoooo

erika d cannady

Saying Rick did “exactly” what Shane did ..😂 are we watching the same show? Rick meets married woman vs Shane knows married woman for years + copes with beginning of the end of the world with her 😭 . That’s without even bringing up the abusive husband

ShanB

Rick’s speech sounds just like Shane’s speech when he said you wanna live you gotta fight for it

Dreamville Paul2x

I love that gun that Sasha has.

Eric W.

I generally like Deanna overall but when she admitted that she knew Pete was beating Jessie and just hoped it would "get better" I lost some respect for her. At the end of the day she is the leader of this community. She holds the power to force Pete to do whatever she wants. Like if she said hey you live in a separate house from your family and your taking an assistant or I'll exile you I'm sure he would've listened. Wouldn't have liked it but hey it is what it is.

Eric W.

Coralllll* you meant

DRIP DROP

Michonne knocking out Rick might be one of my favorite scenes.

Justin Jefferson

I don't think it's a problem that Rick wanted to be with Jessie. Jessie clearly likes Rick too based on the chemistry between them in their previous interactions. Rick saw what her husband was doing to her, and he did a valiant thing telling her that he can save her/offer her an escape from that awful situation and show that there's someone (him) who wants to treat her better. Plus Rick - especially after everything he's been through - deserves to have a wife and someone who makes him happy way more than someone who's just abusive, controlling, and wants no more than objective ownership over someone to beat and treat however they want with no concern for them. Given that circumstance, because it wasn't a happy loving marriage and the fact it literally could kill Jessie to stay with him, I feel that completely justifies Rick intervening and offering an alternative. In the end, Jessie stood with Rick and wanted his help, even after learning his feelings, which means she was receptive. That is her choice. Rick was not acting completely like Shane. Yes I admit there's similarities, but the circumstances of him taking Jessie verses Shane trying to take Laurie, are completely different situations. Laurie and Rick were happy being together and were not abusive. They were both on the same page rejecting Shane. Yet Shane kept pursuing and became the violent one. Shane was violent and had to be dealt with. Jessie's husband is violent and needs to be dealt with. It doesn't matter who's married or not, what matters is who is in the wrong/who's dangerous/who needs to be dealt with. I'm very upset that you guys keep saying he's being exactly like Shane. That isn't true at all at his core, especially since the circumstances are DIFFERENT. I'm not saying he wasn't making a scene and losing control of himself at the end, he was. But he is a completely different person than Shane and always has been. I see Rick as a victim of his circumstances in terms of why he has become this way, but his heart is in the right place and always has been. Shane meanwhile, was abrasive and largely out of control from the start, and didn't have any morals about staying away from people who were happily married. If Laurie was getting abused by Rick and needed an escape from a situation she didn't know how to get out of, just like Jessie, then yeah I would've probably been on Shane's side if he wanted to help her and offer a better life for her. But that wasn't the case. So again. Very different circumstances and very different people.

Krysta Anderson

MVP is Shane for teaching Rick how to have a proper crash out. One of the best scenes.

ShamefulToaster

The ghost book is just gone now lol

Vic

I’m just now remembering this episode is the first time Rick says “Were the ones who live” I’ve loved it since I first saw this episode years ago

Rick’s red handle machete

First watch I thought Michonne was a trader for knocking out Rick . But I'm a big Rick fan so that why . But she knocked out Rick because he was crashing out. I support Rick crash out . He hurting his wife. He got to go . I don't feel bad for him . MVP Demon Rick .

Tjbosslyfe

You can’t deny the parallels tho

Lewis

Comparing Rick to Shane is WILD in my opinion 😅

Paulo

I'm glad you guys recognize that our group is not totally in the right here. Not saying that Deanna is either, but Rick crashing out at the end is not the way to show them they need to change. He looks absolutely deranged, not to mention using Pete's abuse as an excuse to get with Jessie. Sasha is so far gone too. When she said "it worked out for you" to Michonne, I think she meant that Michonne made it out of her cycle of grief, Sasha doesn't think she can.

Joshua Markham

Andy is also knows to break a actors nose I won’t say as to not spoil it

COORALLL!!

Rick/Jessie situation is NOT the same as Shane/Lori situation. Shane was obsessed with Lori, he tried to rape Lori and he thought about killing Rick before he actually tried to kill Rick. Shane thought he needed to protect Lori from Rick but he didn't. Rick NEVER hurt Lori and Shane. Rick DOES need to protect Jessie. Her husband his HITTING her and Sam. It is NOT the same situation at all. Does Rick show a little bit of Shane at times, yes, but he is not Shane. And there is NOTHING wrong with Carol. She will protect the group/her family at ALL costs. These people in Alexandria have good intentions but they DON'T know what it's like out there. They are weak and they need Rick and the group. DeeAnna KNEW Pete was hitting Jessie and she allowed him to stay; she did not take care of the problem. Making him leave would not be enough. I believe he would come back and kill Jessie and try to take the kids. He needs to die; in this world that is the ONLY way to protect Jessie and those kids. Rick is 100 percent right in this episode, although his delivery seems a little crazy. Michonne stopped him and the situation would not escalate, which was smart. Doesn't mean that she's not on Rick's side. My MVP goes to her, she helped Sasha and Rick. Great episode and great reaction. Can't wait to watch the finale reaction.

Kristy Stevens

I’ve only just realised we barely see Carl this season

COORALLL!!

You couldn’t have said it any better everything that Rick has been through is slowing turning him into Shane

Patrick Saona

Yall have probably noticed by now but Rick in Alexandria is a lot like Shane on Hershel’s farm. This speech was similar to Shane’s speech before opening the barn. There’s other things that are similar too, Rick wants everyone to carry weapons inside the walls, he wants to control who lives there so it’s safe, he’s willing to execute bad ppl instead of letting them leave because they could come back. You can connect every one of those things to something that Shane said or did on the farm. Rick became a lot like him, it makes you wonder if Shane was just ahead of the curve but his obsession with Lori was his downfall.

Marco

So glad Michonne knocked Rick out, he's embarrassing me rn

Lee

Idk personally I see Rick and carols mindset, Alexandria’s too weak. They don’t make the necessary decisions to continue to survive.

Jo

MVP for me is Michonne. She stood on business w Sasha and then at the end she knocked Rick out so the situation didn’t escalate. If Rick didn’t get knocked out shit coulda really popped off 😭

ThatGuyTrent

Shane definitely adapted to the apocalypse faster than everyone else, he understood reality much sooner. If this Rick stood in place of season 2 Rick, him and Shane would have been on the same page w pretty much everything. The only thing I think Shane did that was bad was letting himself be manipulated by Lori, and then trying to kill Rick so he could be with her. I don’t think Rick’s situation with Jessie is very comparable to Shane and Lori, bc Shane and Rick were lifelong friends, they were brothers. And Rick didn’t abuse Lori or Carl.

ThatGuyTrent

You’re gonna kick meowt 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Miguel

“What do you do out here anyway?” “Same thing as you.” *starts running through the woods like we in a Disney film* This scene gets me every time 😂

ThatGuyTrent

Nothing like Shane he got with his best friend girl who was in a complicated relationship with her husband jessie is being abused and could die

Kolby Owens

Idky but Michonne knocking Rick out is the funniest thing out of no where lol

KJ

ahhh double upload THANK YOU!!!

fns

Sasha gotta pull it together, i understand she is grieving but EVERYONE is grieving.. she was a favorite of mine until this episode tbh

Bryan

double upload?!

Trevor Wright

that is so false lmao

Trevor Wright

Shane did not rape Lori. (He tried to force himself on her while drunk and broken). Shane tried to get together with a married women. Rick in this episode tried to get together with a married women. It is completely the same thing. Everything Shane did was for him and the people he cared about. Rick is the same at this point. Shane was also not evil. He also felt guild after shooting Otis. That is just a fact.

Blizard

Littery nothing like Shane

Daniel Perkey

I think they meant it that he keeps seeing red. Red for violence. Callback to Morgan when all he can see is red

governor199028

Andrew Lincolns acting was so incredible, you can feel the pain and the worry in his voice. By far one of my favorite Rick speeches.

Steven Splash

dude.. delete this and don't spoil!

kelly🤍

I have watched this show countless times and I can't see how people even compare Rick and Shane as the same. Shane is a rapist and an evil person. While Rick is a good person who has really violent things to keep the group safe.

Daniel Perkey

finally weve made it this dam far

NorthhSZN

I love these reactions the accuracy is actually amazing

Jason Olguin

She not

JSM -Tac

The difference between the two- Rick and Shane were best friends. Shane had known Lori for a long time and didn’t think Rick would make it out of the hospital. Shane lost his mind and we know where that went… then with Pete and Rick he doesn’t know Rick or vice versa Rick finally has feelings for a girl and he acts on them along with being a little psychotic at the moment … and what helped him ruin the marriage was finding out Pete was abusive. It just helps his case. Rick definitely resemble Shane in this season!! I love the way. The writers took the story because it’s super ironic and fun to show the differences and the similarities. I’m not saying it’s great, but I’m always on Rick side ♾️❤️

Anna

fun fact: Danai actually accidentally hit andy in the head quite hard when rick had his speech at the end of this episode! They speak about it in interviews and such.

Ben Roberts

Watching it back Deanna straight up tells Rick she knows she lost the battle the second she let Rick in cuz they both know he ain’t goin easy 😂

Manny👷🏽‍♂️

Vince I agree with you btw. Maggie should have intervened. Or even spoke to Diana and kept it real with her on the things they've had to do.

Mark

Watching Sasha grieving is so painful to me because now I see how much she lost in so little timeframe but not fully showing anything but anger is truly sad

Ally 土

sasha low key annoying at this point

R

All the times we see the "Red Balloon" it's a sign from the universe to Rick basically to "STOP" as Red means "Stop" but Rick kept going.

Riley

Love how Rick riffs off what Shane said at the barn, "you wanna live, you have to fight for it, I mean fighting, right here roght now"

Mike Rizzo

"Me? Me? You??? You mean ME?" So freaking good man, Andrew Lincoln deserved an Emmy for sure for this role.

Kristoffer Smedegaard

Presentation was bad

JSM -Tac

It is Shane like, but the circumstances are a bit different like Rick wasn’t a bad guy and was protecting Lori and Carl where as Pete is the worst kind of guy hurting and putting his wife and kids in danger

Bkk02

Theo Sebuliba

Rick's crashout is so similar to Shane's at the barn. Both are right in what they're saying but their "presentation leaves something to be desired" as Andrea would put it. Both are hall of fame scenes in TWD

Poindexter

“YOU GONNA KICK MEOW???”

Rhys

Great ass episode 🤣 I’m so glad yall posted 2

Demon Rick

Rick is soo goated this episode and Andrew’s acting was unbelievable. It’s literally Rick MVP by far lol , he was easily the best character in almost every episode this season. That’s why alot of people say this might be the most greatest season a character has ever had.

JonSnow21
