The Walking Dead (Season 5 - Episode 13)

Hey Rangers! Get ready for another thrilling episode of The Walking Dead! We can't wait to share our reactions with you—hope you enjoy the ride!

The Walking Dead (Season 5 - Episode 13)

Comments

Can we talk about how Daryl raised with a very racist and bigoted family life is the first to make friends with the gay couple? I just love him so much and the way he has risen above his raising.

Melody Netherton

Plus, it was specifically stated in the last episode that Northern Virginia was successfully evacuated, and so there aren't many people or walkers around.

Jack Bristow

Thats amazing woooww

Daniel

what i noticed during the scene with jessie and the husband walking down the street, Rick doesnt deadpan stare the fact that theyre a couple. he notices she flinches when he places his hand on her back at first, so his cop instincts are kicking in thinking its potentially domestic based. pretty obscure little detail, but a cool one nonetheless.

Daldin

MVP for Carol for dealing with Sam by sayin the scariest things to a child.

ShamefulToaster

Made me wonder if Rick was thinking about all of it again towards the end, with the zoom in on his hand with the A. They're all having a hard time adjusting to this lifestyle so quickly.

Zero

What I saw @ the end of this episode was Rick longing a little bit for the walkers and the chaos of life outside the walls of Alexandria. I think the sound of the walkers soothed him in that moment. Like you guys said .. it was just a few short days or so ago that they were fighting for their life and there’s an excitement that comes with that no matter how scary and tiring. It’s like a kid wanting to go back outside 😆. Outside is real. inside just feels like a ticking time bomb before outside comes in anyways.

ShanB

I really enjoy Deanna, she's so charismatic and charming while also being truly genuine in wanting a future for people. Sasha's struggle is so powerful here, too, I really resonate with her as a character.

Zero

Be realistic, we're talking about a group of people all with severe PTSD, constantly stuck in survival mode, and experiencing constant loss being thrust back into the past overnight. We literally see Sasha struggling with that here. Carol has seen so many kids die that she doesn't want to be kind and get close to any others, because she just doesn't want to see it again. So she's tougher than she needs to be each time she meets a new one. She also is afraid of being that person that didn't act when she and her daughter were being abused by Ed. She wants to protect herself and the others. Rick has lost a lot, mostly due to the people around him. As well as every group they've come across has been psychos that want to kill them all and take everything they have. They've all been forced to do nightmarish things in the name of survival. The way they're acting is mostly justified; it may suck, but this is the world they've been in for a few years now, seeing the most horrific things happening around them. They're adapting and essentially evolving to survive in it, all with no help for their mental states or even the time to sit and deal with their trauma.

Zero

Not unless we get a double upload Friday

Kentavious Washington

True, but the name has only been said one time so far. How would they remember

A - FTW

Ik y’all are bias. But let’s admit, what Rick and carol are doing is wrong. Yea they should be skeptical but stealing guns, carol scaring that kid is wrong. If anyone talked to Carl like that you guys would be saying “wtf”.

Konner Cragun

Damn now we gotta wait till next week for the finale

GuntherBv

I'm also so excited for this, but to be realistic, we probably get part 1 this weekend and part 2 a few weeks later. That's merely an educated guess

Michael

Rick in his Shane era! Yes!!!🤣🔥🔥

Isaac Kibby

Captions. Full headphones / earbuds.

Reece Bensted

Yeah back in the day Daryl "Norman Reedus" had a reality show on AMC called "Ride with Norman Reedus" and I think it was in season 2 Dave Chappelle was on as a guest celebrity.. He had a bunch of celebs on, Keanu Reeves, Josh Brolin and Johnny Knoxville, just riding around checking out places like death Valley, Spain, Rome, the deep south and shit.. I mean, if you got a bike, or you're a bike enthusiast, it'll definitely get that riding and travel feeling going, and if you don't, it'll sure make you wanna go buy a bike!

PastaDon

Great episode. we getting harry potter soon?

Seth Doiron

Rick is going to pull a shane one

Octo

I get still being skeptical but at some point I’m sure you guys wanted the group to find a place like this. To finally have a home and not be out there anymore lol it’ll be a great day when Sho can relax a little bit

Tyah

What choice did she have? She probably didn’t want to do it, but she gets shit done.

Michael

He’s got nothing else to do 🤷🏼‍♂️ 😆

Michael

Loved the theorizing at the end, Vince made a great point you guys got to realize out of everyone still alive there are most definitely still good people left, even if they are careful like our main group, not everyone we meet is going to be evil with a hidden agenda. The majority of people at woodbury and even some of the cops/people in the hospital that we saw were normal people just under bad leadership. Also from the perspective of making a show, i don't think they'd reuse the plot of having a community/group that appears to be good but is actually bad over and over it would be way to overused imo. Great reaction tho cant wait to see the end of s5!

Ost Tost

the comments are so dense sometimes like guys this is their first time watching of COURSE they are questioning everyone’s intentions especially right after terminus.. I enjoy them trying to piece everything together and questioning who’s good or bad like this is exactly why we love this show you’re just on edge the whole time!

Jazzlyne

yup. Rick also saw pete acting aggresive towards jessie at the party.

cobra grimes

Oddly enough, . Enid the new girl, Rick , Sasha and Daryl crave the adrenaline of surviving out there, I think it’s apart of PTSD and why they refuse to fully conform to Alexandria’s ways.

Misa Makes Magic LLC

It’s also really interesting how sho mentions how it doesn’t make sense because the life inside Alexandria is so different from the outside how people are dying outside and inside they are having parties when irl this is also how the world is! Some people get to live lavish and some are barely surviving, it very drastic situations but they do have similarities which I think is important to see!

Sally Ariana

Them being on edge and being like here we go here we go and then nothing happening is so funny! We were all like this when we first watched! Love first reactions to this show!

Sally Ariana

The A is for Alexandria which is the name of the community they're in (also because they're kinda in the area of Alexandria, Virginia which is outside of DC), But it definitely is intentionally suspicious when you think about the walkers with W's and the A's from Terminus and the church. I always love the friendship forming between Daryl and Aaron! I love that Aaron almost immediately got Daryl and knew what he needed to acclimate to this new situation.

sierra's reaction corner

Rick had no reason to think that at the time lol he was definitely developing possessive feelings over Jessie and that was his subconscious response to seeing them together.

sierra's reaction corner

The whole second half of the season just made me feel so bad for Sasha. She just a big ball of anger and you can tell she doesn't know what to do with it. Her only response to anything is just rage and it only isolates her more.

Eric W.

honestly that's why I never understood why Deanna tried to force Sasha to go to this thing. Like I get it she wants them to get acclimated but don't force them into it. Let them naturally come into that. If she's so good at reading people she should be able to pick up that Sasha seems unsteady.

Eric W.

A means Alexandria

Danny NYC

spoilers. let them be on the edge of their seat and don't ruin the experience and tension for them.

Mathieu Dufault

Rich slowly becoming more like Shane

Patrick Saona

So the A is just a stamp for Alexandria or just a kid playing with stamps, but I think the A itself is very triggering to Rick because of their most recent experience being with Terminus who locked their group in storage container A and labeled them A group. The call backs to the trauma they went through on the outside really shows how hard it is for some of the group to adjust.

gabrie

It just remind them of terminus they put them in car A and also painted an A on the church

COORALLL!!

The A on the hands just remind them of the terminus out them in. Car A and painted an A on the church

COORALLL!!

You guys think Rick is turning into Shane and he is going to kill Pete but no the only reason he was going to pull his gun out was because he is a cop and he is smart and he thinks Pete is abusing his wife

Sergeant Major Rick Grimes

No need for over thinking , for the rest of this season and the next yall are going to know exactly who the bad guys are

Ernest Carter

yall are braindead carol is a certified gangster u gotta do what u gotta do in this world

R

You guys over observations crack me up lol "What does the A stamp stand for?" it's the name of the town A for Alexandrea.

Bob

Yall overthink everything 🤣 the kid was just having fun with the stamp

Sara Tucker

Facts🤣🤣

Ico

He’s really not lol he sensed that he was a bad guy but Shane literally went after Rick knowing he was good person and wouldn’t have tried to betray him

Jyriunna Pleasant

The Anderson family too

Kristian Lee

The constant suspecting EVERYBODY and EVERYTHING is a bit exhausting, ngl hahaha! Just chill and enjoy the bonds, connections and relationships forming between the characters! 😂

Paulo

You guys forgot that the community their at is called Alexandria so the A stands for that also I don't understand with the shows fascination with the letter A cuz I think Morgan carved the letter A in a tree.

Michael Saylor

THATS WHAT IM SAYINGG!! It wasn't "brave" or "funny" like everyone said, and since Karen and David, her character has genuinely become one of the worst and she cant blame her abuse on all the horrible things she is doing

zahra ୨ৎ

I absolutely love Aaron and Daryl’s friendship, I absolutely admire the way Aaron went about approaching Daryl and being able to be vulnerable with him in a way Daryl could relate and felt comfortable with, how he made it easier for Daryl to approach him, how he showed he can be an ally. Also very admirable, as rednecks don’t tend to be known as the kindest of gay allies, so I think it’s awesome seeing the bond between them.

Ronan

Rick chasing after Jessie goes to show how much he has changed and that he's a very flawed protagonist. He's literally doing exactly what Shane did. We all condemned it then because we didn't know Shane like we know Rick. Crazy how watching these characters change can alter your perspective on their actions.

Joshua Markham

The difference between Shane and Rick is that Shane only cared about the Lori and Carl while Rick cares about every member of the group and we know Rick is exceptionally good at reading people as shown throughout the show and senses something off about Jesse’s husband but that’s just my take.

JonSnow21

A means like logo for Alexandria and at the end Rick finally realized that the walkers can't be a problem here because of the walls for now,so only problem is people if someone gonna come

Ico

I always thought this. I guess it’s so they can hear eachother talking? But I would rather they get to hear all the dialogue than listen to them talk to eachother 😭

Alex

I love Carol sm

Rylee

Absolutely hated how Carol terrorized that little boy. Between this and killing Karen and David, I just couldn't really get back on board with her character.

Lee

A stamp for Alexandria guys that’s not that crazy 😹😹😹

puddle possum

Shoshanna is SO skeptical. Ya gotta think about it- if you have strong walls this COULD be possible. Agriculture, weaponry, etc. would fall into place after that (as long as you have some strong, smart like minded people). And the other big thing is the world is a BIIIGGGG place....especially on foot

Pat_Bez

Rick is NOT Shane! Shane was selfish. Rick is about protecting the group, which is his family, at all costs. I think Rick gets bad vibes from Jessie's husband. Remember he was a cop, and he still has those instincts. Him putting his hand on the gun was him showing his distrust; I don't believe he was intending to or thinking of killing the guy. I think it was more of thinking of protecting Jessie. I believe he feels her needing his protection is going to come at some point. At the end, I believe he was just listening to the walker outside the wall, knowing that no matter how safe Alexandria seems to be, that it will never be fully safe. The threat is still out there, still right outside those walls. Speaking of Alexandria, the "A" stood for Alexandria. So don't read too much into that, although I do understand why you would, lol. The "W" will be explained in later episodes. Carol is a savage. Maybe she went a little far with what she said to Sam, but she was doing what she always does, looking out for her family NO MATTER WHAT THE COSTS! Even if it means scaring the crap out of a kid. LOL. Keep the reactions coming. Love em!

Kristy Stevens

Yeah no, he grabbed his gun because out there he's gotten use to getting what he wants, so it's natural that he wants her therefore he must kill Pete. I don't think Rick's distrust had any affect in his thinking in that moment

Jsanders

“He learned from the best” had me dying lmao

BeavZ

if you're not going to turn on subtitles to catch any dialogue you may miss because y'all only got one earbud in each and accidently talk over a line then at least get a pair of earbuds each and just turn off noise cancellation or turn on Conversation Awareness mode to still hear each other. but having only one earbud in really hinders your full listening experience especially when it comes to staying immersed in more cinematic movies and tv. y'all have upgraded everything else over the years for Patreon, why not one of the most important parts for the reaction which is your listening experience?

s0l0 !

Rick just clearly wants to be out there. He WANTS that chaos. That chaos kept him and his family alive for what, a year or so now? He doesn't know what to do without that shit. Clearly neither do Sasha or Carol. And everyone thinks it'd be Daryll, but he had chaos his whole life....he just wants the quiet

Pat_Bez

Y’all looking for problems hoping they find stuff evil 😂😂

Eric

I fucking love this version of carol 🤣 she’s one of the best characters lmaoo one of the best character developments

Simon

Y’all in y’all head to much gotta loosen up on this place not everything they do or say is questionable 😂😂

Eric

i do think rick is a little jealous but him gripping the gun mainly showed his distrust with the husband, he feels there is something off about him and we don't know what Rick is thinking unless he speaks or physically shows us, so him gripping the gun was the main way to show it without saying anything.

s0l0 !

Snitches get stitches tell em Carol!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol.

Justin Jefferson

at the end i think rick was just listening to the walkers since he’s used to being out there with them all the time and found some comfort inside the walls listening to the outside to feel more like himself maybe idk. 🤷🏾‍♀️

vanessa

Ouuuu let’s gooo!

Simon

Rck put his hand on his gun because he knows body language, especially because he was a cop he feels uneasy about her husband. Also because hes in the way I guess lmfao

Nelson Ramos

the people of alexandria are definitely not as smart as y’all give them credit for😂trust me

vanessa

Vincent calling Caroyl diabolical is the perfect word lol Also yeah, I never thought of it like this but its true. If the story was about Alexandrias characters prior to ricks group getting there, Rick and Caroyl would FOR SURE look like the villains so far lol

jblakk

Reminder that upcoming finale 5x16 also has a little end credit scene, nothing that special like 5x1 and 5x8, but it still has one with a little scene.

Mitochondria

MVP auntie CAROL 🤣😂

Lennon Auguiste

Few things with no spoilers; just recap: Every single major event has molded Rick. Shane, Lori, Herschel’s death, etc have changed him entirely. Rick got weird vibes off the bat with the husband, and i see him grabbing the gun as instinct to show his distrust for him, but not actually planning to do anything to him. The A on the hands is just to show they’re a part of the community they’re in, Alexandria. Carol don’t play no shit, and she was laying that out to the kid 🤣 (snitches get stitches). Rick at the end was remembering that no matter how much normalcy goes on within the walls, that the danger will always be there. Great episode! FYI: you guys talking sometimes makes you miss certain things, (which is okay, the whole point of you watching is to react). But maybe you could put subtitles or rewind the show when you both get into a longer conversation! Love yall!

Dr. Giudicessi of Arachnology (AAS).

I never liked how ruthless Carol was with the threats she bombarded Sam with, it was horrifying & traumatizing for a kid that’s basically Sophia’s age 😭

Jack's World

Vince acting like he was at the party drinking with them LMAOO

MochaMishu

this show loves to kill horses lol

Annisa

There’s an extended version of when Rick, Carol & Daryl return that was cut for time where Daryl was still acting some type of way about Rick being a cop again and in a sarcastic passive aggressive way says “thank ya officer” as he’s walking away from him

Jack's World

It's like Ricks group just came back home from war. They all have PTSD, Sasha and Daryl have the worst cases in some ways. Trying to get acclimated back into society when they all know what is really out there.

Steven Splash

She got some deep ass trust issues still lmao

DRIP DROP

Rick's turned into shane

John Snetzler

She's got trust issues lol

Spencer Egerton

Daryl showing some emotion when he was offered the job . Daryl the same and changing for the better . That spaghetti looked good not going to lie . They were eating a pet a few episodes a go . Alexandria is definitely a step up .

Tjbosslyfe

I feel like we all had that reaction to the “A”. My mind immediately went to the train cars, and I wish they would have at least mentioned that it was for ‘A’lexandria.

Jay

MVP Carol she was like a spy with the cooking stuff. But being a savage an trying to get those guns . Our group ain't with all the play play lol 😆

Tjbosslyfe

“What does the stamp mean” Alexandria??😂

Joe

Aaron giving Daryl the job of being Alexandria's recruiter is one of the sweetest moments in the show

Poindexter

Ahh it’s getting goooodddd

Rhys

It’s just stamp I can’t 😭

Alex

I am finding it hilarious how suspicious Shoshana thinks everyone is...also Carol out here casually threatening to tie that kid to a tree and letting him get ripped apart is my favorite thing ever lol

JQ

Regarding the moment Rick was caressing the wall at the end, I kinda view that as Rick’s awareness that the safety of Alexandria is fragile. The walker pressing against the wall is a reminder that danger is ever-present, no matter how much the Alexandrians try to ignore it. Rick touching the wall suggests his recognition that the town’s security is an illusion, much like his own struggle with trying to fit into its civilized norms.

Ryan Norfleet

Rick’s reaction at the end really says a lot. With the feelings he’s developed for Jessie, there’s definitely some tension when he sees her with Pete. The way he instinctively reaches for his gun seems to reflect his frustration and the internal struggle he’s facing in this new environment. It really makes you wonder what’s going through his mind in that moment.

Ryan Norfleet

andddd onto the next

NorthhSZN

A is for Alexandria....

Michele H.

Rick doesn’t give Shane vibes at all in my opinion. I think yall forgetting that Rick has always been able to read people. He met Jessies husband already outside on the porch and then he introduces himself at the party and Rick caught weird vibes from him. He likes Jessie, shes showed him kindness, and he probably thinks shes pretty, but at the end he sees her and then sees this person that he has bad vibes from put his arm around her. He grabs his gun in my opinion to symbolize his distrust for the husband not because he was to take Jessie from him. Thats just my opinion.

Aya

Deanna was a former senator before the apocalypse so she’s trying to run the community like a government but the old way doesn’t work anymore

Theo Sebuliba

The suspicious look s has for literally everyone in Alexandria is hilarious. Trust issues to the max lol

Alex

yall not really watching frl the a doesn’t mean anything the w is the only letter we worry about

Iemkn ELAMIN

I think the difference between Shane and Rick is that Rick is look out for the group and Shane was always trying to kill Rick and was out for his own selfish reasons

Theo Sebuliba

TWD REIGNS SUPREME

DRIP DROP

No it's not how would they know anything about terminus it stands for Alexandria

Kolby Owens

I hope I wasn't thinking has deep as yall whenever I first watched this lol

Kolby Owens

Remember, Hersel owned a farm.

Hammerdude

Carol being diabolical this episode😂😅

Joe

The "A" stamp is more of a reference to the "A" that was on the train cart that Rick's group was in at Terminus.

Riley

My theory about the end? Rick is listening to the walker outside of the walls..knowing it’s out there and remembering they’re out there. But knowing they can’t get in. I also think the sound of walkers is music to his ears. They help him remember the real world and what’s really going on..so it keeps him on his toes. That’s just my theory. Because he seems happy hearing it. The A is probably for “Alexandria.” That is where they’re living. Alexandria.

Dave Canon

MVP Darryl for sure!

C Jay

I feel like they do a good job of doing this. From what I can tell they didn't miss out on any context?

C Jay

STOP TALKING AND LISTEN TO THE DIALOGUE

Krysta Anderson

In what world

Swagger

Been waiting for thisss!!!

Sahae

We have been seeing how Sasha been handling Tyrese's death, and she's doing even worse than Maggie have been about Beth because at least Beth still has Glenn for support. Sasha lost Bob and is essentially alone. Even Michonne brought it up to her how angry Tyrese was about Karen and Sasha got defensive that her and her brother weren't the same. Sasha's very angry. She had that whole outburst when they were dealing the walkers two eps ago on the bridge, almost killing Michonne & slashed Abraham(who's seemed to try and be supportive, rwlling her that she was with friends, which she dismissed as not being it, and sitting on the side watching/staring at her on the side in the barn, despite going through his own thing). Add on the ongoing PTSD, Sasha's not doing well at all. She's a walking crashout right now...

Ash Lee Can

Please react to " Unknown " by Liam Neeson. Its a great mystery- thriller movie
