I still think Daniel Radcliff is an amazing actor but I'm a different kind of fan now lol. I just love that he gave up being a heartthrob to pursue amazing original films rather than chase the box office. For anyone who hasn't seen them I highly reccomend his films "Jungle" and "Horns" .

2025-02-17 11:22:48 +0000 UTCIt's interesting that you guys just noticed the new actor for Dumbledore during this movie... because this was the movie that made a lot of book fans kind of upset with this new actor and his portrayal haha. In the books, Dumbledore was very much the calm, softspoken old man we saw in the 1st 2 movies, and he was never really one to just angrily yell like we see in this movie. I was one of those people when it came out haha. Hindsight, for the 'cinematic experience' I get why they amped up Dumbledore a bit... the purist in me still remembers '"Did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" Dumbledore asked' calmly.' lol

I think you missed it, but when Harry is in Dumbledore's memory, during Igor Karkaroff's trial and at the point where Karkaroff turns in Barty Crouch Junior (David Tenant's character), Karkaroff explains that Crouch was involved in the capture and torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom who happen to be Neville's parents - which explains why Neuville lives with his grandmother. This isn't a spoiler, but keep it in mind.

I've seen them all well over 50 times and its a yearly watch for me and this being the introduction of Voldermort and a start of the movies getting darker and darker is the reason why its in my opinion the best! Glad you guys loved this movie. Definitely cannot wait for the next! :)

In the Goblet of Fire book, Barty Crouch Jr's mother was dying so she visited her son at Azkaban. She and Barty Crouch Jr drank polyjuice potion to turn into each other and she took his place in Azkaban. The mother kept drinking polyjuice potion until she died in Azkaban and she was buried as Barty Crouch Jr, this is why nobody knew he escaped.

The 63 year old director then started wrestling with him on the floor to show them how it’s done cracking his ribs in the process.
