That "Babe, if Daryl dies...!!" I didn't know I was a sleeper agent, but here I am whispering "...we riot" and feeling exactly like I did when this show was coming out IRL 😂 I am an OG watcher and from the episode we met him, I was ready to die for Daryl 🤣 the way he was trying to be tough and mean, but still wiping away tears, bringing meat back for the group, and freaking out when Glenn got kidnapped --I knew. This was a soft boy inside a redneck body, just waiting for someone to tell him he matters and surround him with children to be gentle with Lol. You guys could not imagine this coming out one episode a week and no one safe, with nerds everywhere knowing Daryl isn't in the comics. He got such a huge fan base that I remember Hot Topic coming out with a "If Daryl Dies We Riot" t shirt.

Is her choosing to side with the Governor still shitty? Yeah, it is, and it's okay to be annoyed and frustrated with that, but don't fully condemn her without considering her pov.

So as weird as it may seem, she has a deeper bond with the Governor because of how close they actually connected. I had to put it out there because I wanted to see where Andrea is coming from, especially with wanting to start a new life somewhere better

2025-01-17 05:17:29 +0000 UTCThe Governor is great at manipulating people, and he's managed to manipulate her enough to the extent that she'll point her gun at Michonne, who she's known and trusted for exponentially longer. I can understand that she doesn't have all of the information but I still find her actions reprehensible given all of the clear red flags.

2025-01-09 22:08:27 +0000 UTCI hated how the crew tried to make it seem like Oscar died because Michonne abandonned them during the escape, or that Michonne screwed them over. Michonne literally brought them there, found them a way in, helped them hid, helped them get Maggie & Glenn out from being executed, and helped them get to another hiding place before closing the door and leaving. I mean, they literally have no idea even WHY she even took off. And Oscar died because RICK was having a PTSD hallucination in the middle and sat there, which got Oscar shot and kill by the very guy he was hallucination on. If Eick had killed that guy, Oscar would have made it. He was right on top of the wall and about to get over when he got hit, but you see he didn't step up to accept that blame himself...

2025-01-09 18:41:56 +0000 UTCWhat people have to understand that Andrea literally doesn't know ANYTHING that's going on or seen everything we've seen so her perspective. It's no secret that Michonne clearly hated The Governor and Woodbury. Michonne leaves and all of a sudden two days later, Woodbury is literally getting invaded and attacked by "terroists"/convicts. Smoke bombs, gunfire, and chaos is happening all over the place. Innocent people are getting hurt and probably killed. From Andrea perspective, it looked like Michonne left, found a group psychos/prisoners, and somehow convinced them to team up and attack Woodbury so she can have her way in to kill The Governor, and was about to do it until Andrea stopped her. As much as Andea loves Michonne, Andrea said it herself before, "I feel like you going to disappear." Basically, Andrea feared that Michonne was "out there" for too long, especially for however long she was and it got to the point where she thought Michonne's mental health was going to start being a real issue(Depression, PTSD, etc), which is why she felt Michonne was struggling to mentally handle Woodbury and the idea of it. Trauma... Now, although Michonne is my favorite character, I'm someone who has no issue critiquing my faves. Michonne could have EASILY just explained to Andrea what was going, but she didn't. Just like she could have further explains. This is why I say that her stoicism is basic a blessing and a curse and sometimes you need to actually open your mouth and say something or there will be misunderstandings like what happened here. Especially knowing how good of a damn liar The Govenor is. Which is another reason why it's easy for people, including Andrea, to just believe him. He's smart, quick-thinking, and most importantly, he can come up with very believable lies by mixing then with half truths, at the drop of a hat. Look how quickly he was able to push the idea that they were being invaded by convicts almost immediately after Andrea said she saw a man in a prison uniform. Or how he was able to come up that the fish tanks full of walker heads and a couple of humans were simply his coping mechanism with how he dealt with the horrors of the outside world due to trauma (which probably true). He's basically a politician. There's a reason why people believe politicians so easily, at least the real charismatic ones...

And I knew about the stuff that he'd done BEFORE and it still fucked me up. Whenever I even think about it makes me feel sick. Just be glad that they didn't go with THAT iteration of the character. I don't even know if they would have even been allowed to because he was just so awful. It honestly would have turned a lot of the audience off most likely. This version is far better as both a character and oddly enough, a person from what is seen from both versions...

(they still did) but his love for his daughter and still being morally reprehensible coulda been an interesting dynamic for a conflicted villain. But instead with the assualt on maggie its hard for people to empathtize with em, (rightfully so) but still.

I remember them discussing how in season 1 & 2 the main threat were the walkers and how in season 3 the walkers were more of a nuisance and PEOPLE became the big threat. It was such a well written season.

Carl stepping up, Michonne her badass self and Glenn handling business with that walker to protect him and Maggie. And, yes, you've reached that point in the show where the fandom said, "If Daryl dies, we riot!" They literally made shirts with that slogan on it. I still have mine! One of my favorite shirts! And Andrea has reached hate status, lol. Although I already couldn't stand her by this point. When she almost killed Daryl that time, I was done with her. So naive, whiney, annoying & just plain stupid. For her to still be there with the Governor is CRAZY!!! Can't stand her! So ready to see the next episode with you guys!

That, and AMC was obviously not going to allow the rape storyline to be produced for Michonne (or Maggie, which they teased in the previous episode).

The fact that Kirkman didn't raise a bigger stink over the handling of that character suggests AMC kept him at bay throughout the entire series.
