Rick can keep people mentally stable and healthy with their humanity intact but the dumb little mistakes he makes sometimes can lead to less alive people in the group. Love these reactions and this is my favorite show of all time so I’m glad you guys are reacting to it, Season 2, 4, 5, and 7 are my favorite seasons personally so can’t wait to see your reactions to all of those. His own personal matter aside he knew how to keep people alive but the thing is that Rick is more level headed and nobody has to worry about Rick because he is very likeable and can keep people mentally stable. Shane can keep more people alive but they wouldn’t have that great of a mental but rick can keep people happy, healthy, and doesn’t do the worst job of keeping people alive either even though rick makes more dumb easily fixable mistakes then Shane when it comes to keeping people alive

Putting more and more walkers in there. If they broke out was more they would a been overrun. Even Andrea knew it and that would've been Hershel's fault. Rick was stupid enough to buy into it. It took all that for Hershel to see and even he admitted he was dead wrong. Shane did the right thing. The others were too weak to do what was necessary

Whether it was to be the one to take down Sophia when no one else stepped up or when it was taking out people he knows are dangerous. We love Glenn but he couldn't have done that. And Shane...well he's one huge red flag.

This episode was such a big one for Hershel, I'm loving his character growth. And Rick of course. It's such an absurdity One thing you have to remember, in the grand scheme of the world, Rick JUST woke up from a coma. The entirety of Season 1 took place with in 1-2 weeks. Up to this point in the series Rick has been awake for A MONTH. Shane and the others have been at it since the beginning which at this point has been 2 or 3 months. To me, Shane and his moral compass changed/evolved as the worlds did. Rick and his Moral compass is trying to change the world back.

He's right for himself, but not for a group of people. His way leads to death or savagery. This episode didn't do much for the stereotype about women drivers. There's a lot to like about this show, but then you have moments like that with Lori that make no sense within the flow of the story. Every week I would find myself thinking, "oh, the showrunner really does allow any idea to make it into the show." Ultimately, this show is frustrating because it reaches some incredible highs, only to trip over its own stupidity time and time again.

People be so quick to because thethey feel that they'd do things so differently, when in reality, you never know what you're going to do until you in the shit yourself, even if you do try to prepare yourself for it. People think it's just "Fight or Flight", when there's also "Freeze", and you don't get much of a say on how your mind and body reacts in regards to those three things. Also, in the walking Dead Universe, zombies ware never a concept. That's why they never call them that. WE know how to deal with zombies because we've had decades upon decades of media on different mediums involving zombies. These people don't have that luxury and have to learn how to deal with a world by scratch as they go. The biggest question regarding all of this is pur humanity and what the hell we do with it in this world?

A hammer is not the tool that is needed for every situation. All Shane did was bestow trauma and cost them a home.
