so with the smelling thing, the zombies can only smell the difference between a person and a zombie. so if you were standing next to a zombie, another zombie would know to eat you and not the zombie you're standing next to. the smell thing they brought up is purely to explain how zombies tell the difference between zombies and humans, they cant hunt and track like a dog tho

Keep in mind that the gun was her properly to begin with. It’s nobody’s decision but her own what she wants to do with it. And the whole point was that she forced that choice on her by guilt. Dale said he’d die with her and she legit said she didn’t want his blood on her hands and that’s the only reason she left…legit how can you not understand that reasoning?

It’s valid for them to react like they do, that’s the point of keeping the audience watching. They’re not wrong for wanting the characters to act differently, it keeps us engaged to process the actions of others. I think the whole "they can smell you" is not that they can track you down by your scent, but when you're standing face to face with them, and you smell like a rotting corpse they don't seem to be drawn to corpses, so I think it's more the absence of smell of decay and rot plus the movements of a human. So, when your movements and smell match up, they don't take notice of you.

If a zombie apocalypse popped off right now, we'd more or less would have mich better ideas on what to do BECAUSE of our frame of reference. They don't have that. In terms of you mentioning "I thought season 1 logic was they can smell you." I think because of the amount of blood, dead bodies sitting all day in the hot Georgia sun, that entire "graveyard" smells like them...which is why i think they couldn't easily just be smelt.

Kids run away from parents all the time in real life though haha. I guarantee anyone here when you have a kid. Your kid will run off or try to when you tell them to stay within sight. 100% haha. You can't keep them confined their entire childhood. Also isn't their a study or something with like always telling your kid no and never letting them experience things increases their chances to "do bad things" as they get older. Like for example if you always shield your kid and keep them confined in the apocalypse. Most likely as they get older their gonna grow to disobey you more often or get in to trouble such as sneaking out of the camp to explore cause you never let them doing anything. But she sorta said she understands it at the end haha which made up for me not really saying anything.

I know you disagree about bringing the kids along, but in all honesty. The kids are going to grow up in this world where they need to defend themselves from this threat. It's better to take them with you so they can get used to it and learn than it is to try and shield them from it.

Having carl come with his parents into the woods is probably what every parent would do. You're gonna want your child by your side. Also, there's a half dozen people in the woods to protect him instead of 2 on the street. The same street that had a horde of zombies just pass by and could have other humans that could come by and kill everyone for the supplies just for the he'll of it. If I'm a father I'm not leaving my kid in the hands of strangers on a highway with zombies and possible killers. Theyre is no safe space in this world. The safest space is next to man with a gun trained to use it

the smell part is a weird one, but the walkers dont have super smell but if u walk close to them and they smell that u dont smell dead then they will attack, but the smell seems to be combined with sight

I advise you remember a few things when watching; the whole group has to have mistakes, so you can see the building/learning of the group as they try to learn how to live in a post apocalyptic world. As you guys said in the post credits! Also; for the walkers, they shifted away from the more intellegent walkers and opted for more “standard” walkers so to speak from season 2 onwards. At the end of the day, the show will def have some silly things that from our perspective don’t really make sense, but this show is awesome and you really need to keep a watch on the people/people relationships and the different leading styles from different people in the group. If I remember correctly, it starts getting muddy when the show runners from Once Upon a Time come on, but I thought Angela Kang brought it full circle to make up for it. When the show ended, I remember feeling like i understood everything better. But I did watch the after show, Talking Dead, so I may be getting some things wrong. It may have been explained more in detail on Talking Dead than the actual show.
