2024-10-23 17:44:56 +0000 UTCHey guys, some info on Antisocial Personality Disorder, or ASPD--what used to be called sociopathy and psychopathy: They CAN feel things, just not for other people. And what they feel is dulled down--ripples instead of waves. Breezes of emotions instead of a hurricane. They can feel love, and fear and anger, but their ability to empathize, to imagine what another person is feeling--non existent. For example, they can feel pissed that you called them pathetic, but they'll never care or understand why them calling you the same would upset you. They can't. Signature signs and symptoms:: superficially charming or shallow charm, self obsessed and self absorbed, huuuuge ego--they are 1st, 2nd AND 3rd through 10th. Because they cannot empathize with others, feeling guilt or remorse is equally non existent. They have a much greater capacity for violence as both sociopaths and psychopaths have notoriously poor impulse control with no fear of repercussions. Dex is a Psychopath with anxiety issues. He kills just to feel something, like most psychopaths who turn to killing. Kingpin is a predatory sociopath. He does whatever he has to, with no guilt, in order to achieve his goals, including manipulation and murder. Jobs where ppl with ASPD thrive: Surgeons Lawyers Law enforcement CEOs of major corporations Investigative journalists Actors Directors Politicians
