2024-10-09 06:14:06 +0000 UTCHere's the thing: IT only likes to eat people when they're afraid. IT describes the fear as being like seasoning for the meat, and without it, the taste isn't as great. And IT mostly goes after children because children are easier to scare, but IT has no issue going after adults, however, scaring adults isn't as easy for IT.

Plus IT makes the people of derry more violent and negative. Thus the beatings and bullying and grown ups don't pay attention to what's going on. Its messing with everyone in the towns minds. It is keeping the people in town docile so he can feed. He's an interdimensional being that was banished to earth cause he was causing so much trouble in the other dimension Stephen King has another realm in his books similiar to the upside down.

While I thought the casting for the adults was good, I wasn't wowed by their performances. The movie is fine, it wraps things up, but I prefer the first one. In case someone hasn't mentioned it, the guy that owns the shop where Bill gets his bike back is Stephen King, the author of the book. I also think the joke about Bill not being good at writing endings is an in-joke since King has received that criticism often.
