So if the animation was a little strange, or not what you expected, this was basically the genesis for the Pixar style and evolved over the years. I hope you check out 2 and 3. These movies had such a special place for kids growing up in the 90s. I was a kid obsessed with toys and action figures when Toy Story came out. The sequel came out when I was a bit older and deals with themes that perfect fit where I was, growing up. The third came out when I was in college, and again deals with similar themes that pertain to that era of your life. They aged perfectly with that first generation of Pixar kids.

Had all the toys and clothing until I "outgrew" it. This was my favorite animated trilogy of all time, until How To Train Your Dragon 3 came out. It still sits at #1, it just has to share the top spot now. Lol

You could say I literally grew up with them, but years later I found out that Pixar is a little older than that. Before they released their first full motion picture with Disney, they started out as a division of Lucasfilm in 1984 with an animated short called The Adventures of André & Wally B. They also did Luxo Jr., Red’s Dream, Tin Toy, and Knick Knack. Fun fact: Luxo Jr is the little lamp that shows up in the Pixar logo to bounce on the letter I and replace it. He’s become the company’s official mascot. The ball with the star first appeared in that same short film. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but Spanish was my first language. As such I would watch a lot of shows and movies in Spanish, and I honestly prefer the Latin Spanish dub of this movie a lot more. It’s funnier, iconic, and nostalgic in its’ own right. 4:26 I used to have two of those little tikes fire trucks growing up. I even let my sister play with one of them. Neither one of them had an active siren like they did in the movie though. 5:31 ding ding ding!!! 7:49 my mom is another major reason why I love this movie. This is one of her favorite moments. 8:56 so are Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, and WALL-E among other titles. If you haven’t seen those yet, Shoshana, we’re gonna get them to win.
