Breaking Bad (Season 5 - Episode 14)

Hey Rangers, here is another episode of breaking bad hope you guys enjoy our reaction!

Breaking Bad (Season 5 - Episode 14)

Comments

You know the writing is good when one person can watch the Walt phone call and think “oh my god this guys is the worst person ever” but if you understand what he’s doing you’re thinking “oh my god that’s the most selfless thing he’s ever done”

Aaron Boone

One of the best episodes of television ever

Caleb

Walter giving Skylar that out is probably the most decent, selfless thing he's done in quite some time. Watching you guys watch this episode had me nervous/anxiety laughing at points. In anticipation for what you guys were about to witness. Great reaction as always though.

Yess... Cuban B

Are you a mind reader or what ?

Pitz Woodworks

They’ve talked about getting bored at certain points of Breaking Bad this season and last. In that case they will be boarded with most of Better Call Saul

Terry

Terry, again, how can you speak for them?.

Pitz Woodworks

Aldo, I disagree, and how in the hell can you speak for them?.

Pitz Woodworks

can i just say too the shot of holly in the fire truck is just absolutely heartbreaking my goodness

micah

I know this is the minority opinion but I truly do not think they’ll like Better Call Saul. It’s a totally different vibe Saul doesn’t act the same and isn’t as funny. There are some really really good episodes and a lot of good moments but most of it is not that exciting

Terry

Better Call Saul can wait. It’s another long-term show, and they’re finishing two at the same time just after covering the MCU and Stranger Things. We’ll be here if they need refreshers, but other than that let’s change it up a bit.

Aldo Gonzales

I hope that you finish Breaking Bad with the movie El Camino, and move on to Better Call Saul. That is just a dream of mine because I love your reactions.

Pitz Woodworks

The baby's MaMa was on set that day and the baby was actually asking for MaMa and they kept it in the shot and Bryan Cranston went with it and made an unforgettable scene.

Pitz Woodworks

in desperate need of ep 15 please. Your reactions were exactly as i predicted. Cant wait for the rest of the ride. Ty Ty Ty!

The Ghoul

Cry me a river.

TyPan

Yesss. 100% The psychology is so interesting to me.

Sule

Interesting take. My take was throughout the show Walt was a man whose two sides were at odds with each other. Right at the end, the two opposites reconcile and work together to achieve the outcome he actually wants.

Ravi

It’s a cool bro for me it wasn’t about it being a spoiler just the fact that the show addresses it

Graviton

I don’t really look into it that deep because first time reactors aren’t going to get everything the first time, most of the reactions I’ve seen didn’t get the scene with the phone call for the first time because they just saw so many things happened in this episode, it’s different when you’ve already watched it and have more context behind it because you know what’s going to happen and you see it through a different lens, I think that’s why most of the comments here got what the phone call scene was about because they’ve already seen the show already and have way more context than first time reactors

Theo Sebuliba

It all comes down to how they feel about Walt when determining how reactors view the phone call. Those reactors who are in full hate Walt mode miss it because their hate blinds them from seeing any nuance in Walt's actions anymore. If reactors aren't openly hating Walt at this point, it's easy to see what he's doing on the phone call. Because we know a lot of the things he's saying to her either did not happen at all or are out of character for him. These two completely hate Walt at this point so it went right over their heads. It is kind of a fascinating examination of human psychology though. How negative feelings toward a person can prevent you from absorbing words and actions objectively.

JT

Interesting with the “you either hate him or embrace full heisenburg” cause I’m in between throughout the whole show. Sometimes I’m like he’s okay, other times I hate him. As a written and developed character he’s outstanding, but as a person I’m like “meh”

Tia

How do you know that had anything to do with breaking bad fans… how do you even know if all breaking bad fans have even watched attack on titan.

Tia

? He dealt with a lot of stuff and handled business. He was tough. I couldn’t do half the stuff he did. You have to be tough to work in that field.

Tia

Hank would not have been in that situation if it weren’t for Walt. He’s the one who called Jack and the others to come. Jack had already made the decision to kill him based on Walt calling them, even if Walt didn’t want it to happen. He indirectly killed Hank because he put him in the position in the first place.

Tia

…I’m talking about the fact that he could have saved her, Sean. I’m not talking about her life choices right now. She was lying on her side. When Walt pushed Jesse, she was pushed to her back and after a few seconds, that’s when she started to choke on her vomit. He literally just said that he could have saved her by turning her over or waking her up. They were initially going to have Walt intentionally kill her, but they felt it would be too soon in change of his character. But instead they changed it to him just allowing it to happen. There were literally people saying that Walt had nothing to do with her dying and he literally just said admitted that he did.

Tia

I’m not a huge Walt fan😭 stfu

JSM -Tac

Deleted my comment I kinda forgot about that being explained. But i will say I don't think it counts much as a spoiler bc it seemed pretty obvious to most people at the time. But I would rather error on your side of the discussion, so I've deleted the comment. Good call.

Justin M Borowski

Bait

JSM -Tac

Guys I don’t know why we are trying to explain the Walt phone call when it literally gets explained later

Graviton

did you not see that he said he “fixed it” he originally said this episode that’s why everyone jumped on him 😂

Alex

They did say in an earlier season that they view the characters like in black and white so they root for the good guys and hate the bad guys in the show, so I’m curious to see how they view the finale, I loved it because it really ties everything together

Theo Sebuliba

Greatest: attack on titan season 4 ep 20 Saddest: game of thrones season 3 ep 9 Savage: attack on titan season 4 ep 29 Tragic: attack on titan finale Ozymandias is fantastic though, no question

Sean Carroll

Attack on titan used to have 3 episodes ranked 10/10 but sadly breaking bad fans couldn’t handle another show beating osymandias and downvoted aot

Sean Carroll

Also Walter did not have anything to do with Jane’s death. She chose to take drugs knowing there is a risk of death. Yes he was there but she died from a drug overdose that she took herself. She paid for her actions with her life. That doesn’t change the fact that Walter could have saved her life but he is not responsible for her choices

Sean Carroll

I don’t think Vince will like the finale given how he has viewed this show from a more moral compass then most viewers. Have to wait and see

Sean Carroll

Early season 5 they drove into the driveway while epic music was playing

Sean Carroll

For me, i think the fault goes both ways. Both Walt and Jesse brought themselves to this “showdown”. It was Jesse’s idea to trap Walt here with Hank and Gomie while it was Walt himself who came to confront him and called on Jack’s guys at the last minute. Jesse’s mistake is thinking that Walt is alone in this and Walt’s mistake is thinking that Jesse isn’t a rat

Harry

I think you’re mostly right but I think Hank’s death sparked a major switch in Walt’s character. Up until this point I think Walt was the face for Heisenberg with Walt still in main control, but after Hank’s death Heisenberg became the face for Walt it’s like before he was a bad guy playing a good guy now he’s a good guy playing a bad guy if that makes sense.

s0l0 !

I also think that Heisenberg died with Hank. Walt is devastated by what he feared the most: that his family would suffer the consequences of his actions. Several times throughout the series, we see that Walt uses the (financial) protection of his family to ease his conscience and justify all the atrocities he has committed, and this is true to a large extent. But that doesn't change the fact that, at his core, his fear is indeed for his family. What drives Heisenberg is the lure of money, power, and control, which Walt has until the moment he realizes he's been caught by Hank. Afterward, we clearly see that all his actions are aimed at one single goal: preventing Hank from being killed. 1. He asks Jack to call off the rescue operation when he sees that Hank is involved. 2. On several occasions, he begs Jack to spare Hank's life, knowing full well that he might suffer from this decision. 3. He is finally ready to give 80 million dollars for Hank's life. In vain. And when Hank is ultimately killed, we clearly see that it’s Walt who realizes that his family won’t survive this event, no matter his efforts: his emotional state when his family finds him speaks volumes about his thoughts. He wants to save what’s left of his family and throws his last efforts into the battle, refusing to believe he has lost everything. It’s only when he sees Junior calling 911 that he comes to terms with the reality. Heisenberg has flickers of life when he confesses to letting Jane die or when he takes Holly before fleeing, but even then, these are just remnants of what little "life" he has left. And it’s ultimately Holly who completely wakes him up by calling for her mom. We’ll have to see the final episodes... I am certain that the reaction from S&V will be up to the level of this incredible series.

Olivier Derrez

Whoa TyPan, this is incredibly unnecessary and hostile. This kind of attitude and out of pocket bigotry isn't welcome here

Insert Opinion

I literally despised Walt by season 5, but it's still my favorite season of television. You are supposed to hate him

Insert Opinion

I think it’s the opposite, Heisenberg is in control now but Walt still shines through but guiding Heisenberg like when he said all that on the phone to make Skylar completely innocent.

s0l0 !

Personally, I think "Heisenberg" died with Hank.

TyPan

hopefully their hate for walt doesn't ruin their experience for the show overall, the show wants you to either hate him or embrace the full Heisenberg, but at the same time there is a lot of times you even as the show wraps up you see Walt's side shining through even though he's ultimately Heisenberg now.

s0l0 !

Finally, someone who is not a blind monkey. 100% agree. Walt called it off right when he saw Hank was with Jesse, he was even willing to give up all his money, his life's work, so Hank could live. He even tried and fix things with Jesse after he found out about Brock, even though Saul and Skyler said he should kill him. Only after Jesse refused did Walt make the decision to have Jesse killed. Everyone talks about all the bad things Walt did and how he manipulated Jesse, and although that is true, they are blind to all the good that is still in Walt. That's the difference between people who just watch, and the people who think.

TyPan

Bro that last paragraph was hella unnecessary, maybe you should stop being an asshole for once in your life and not get so bent up over one comment, it’s amazing how these Walt fans turn out to be the biggest dickheads and it doesn’t surprise me, I’m blocking you from now on so I don’t have to listen to anymore of your bullshit

Theo Sebuliba

So no actual contribution to the topic at hand... I asked about the knife scene, and some blind weasel like you came along and blabbed about everything Walt had done. Come with some opinion or statement to the topic at hand, or stfu. And just FYI. I'm not a huge Walt fan. I'm just not blind like "some people" and blame everything on Walt and his fragile ego and pride and ignore all the clear signs that some of the blame, and many times all of the blame, lands on other characters. You should stick to walking in pride parades and watching sex in the city. A complicated show like this might go over your head, buddy.

TyPan

He said thr next episode. Not this one guys and gals lmao

Brandon L Bevilacqua

The ending is so hype lmfao

Brandon L Bevilacqua

I think the coldest most fucked up scene is in thr next episode. If ya know u know lol

Brandon L Bevilacqua

Greatest, saddest, most savage and tragic hour in tv history

Brandon L Bevilacqua

y'all wanted full Heisenberg, here ya'll go.

s0l0 !

The problem with that he should’ve waited until somebody got out of the SUV before he called Jack and his gang, he automatically assumed that Jesse had hired hitmen to take him out instead of waiting until somebody got out of the car to see who Jesse was working with, instead he made an impulsive decision to call Jack and not wait until Jesse came out, but it was too late even when he said don’t come, they were going to come regardless

Theo Sebuliba

He literally did tho. A bit after that, Walt got himself a chrysler 300 srt8 and they arrived home and jr was like ehhhhh to his dad so they went back and he got a charger srt for him thne he pulled up playing dumbstep music...

donte

How exactly was hank dying walts fault? Simply because walt was a criminal? No, he didnt want the nazis to come to help him but they did so that just makes it a shitty situation. Is it hanks fault walt started selling meth? his actions led to it but that doesnt make it hanks fault.

donte

My point is even tho i love hank, in reality he wasnt a "tough guy". He always had on a fake smile and face, he had to put a smile on before he walked into a room. As he stated he knew they were gonna kill him, so he put on that fake tough guy act one more time.

donte

bc the episode was so intense and emotionally/mentally draining, they ain’t mean it literally 😂

Tia

Why do ya’ll not accept that Walt, the character literally written to be a bad man, does wrong things? It’s Walter’s fault Hank is dead. Sheesh.

Tia

what are you even on about gary

Tia

Don't know, but it sure gets you hyped up twice now

allen koch

I’m just wondering if saying “team walt” is supposed to be some kinda flex. a weird one for sure.

Tia

Walt kidnapped his own kid and made himself a fugitive when he could’ve just left the house after that confrontation, I know it’s hard to comprehend for Walt fans, but he put himself in this situation, within a year, he’s made himself a fugitive from the law and torn his family apart when it all started was to make enough money to take care of his family, now the money that he buried got taken by the Neo Nazis, so now his family has no money after all

Theo Sebuliba

One of the main reasons this show is so great. Attention to detail.

TyPan

Anybody else pissed off about that knife scene? I mean, I kinda get that Junier lied since he just heard his father was a kingpin and MAYBE killed Hank, but Skyler just strikes her husband with a bloody knife and gets away with it. At least Walt is on the run and if he doesn't get caught will still die of cancer. Skyler is still a "blameless victim" after everything she's done: (lying to the IRS, stealing Walt's money, being responsible for almost killing Ted, blackmailing Bogdan, laundering Walt's money, etc.). Great scene, but it pissed me off.

TyPan

I fixed it, I meant the next one

allen koch

Hell yeah, Team Walt!.

TyPan

This is the highest rated episode on IMDB and widely considered to be the best tv episode of all time if not best piece of media.

Sol95

The only real episode on imdb with a 10/10 rating. Interesting fact about the chess game being played at the fire station- the board was intentionally set up so that it would be impossible for the WHITE side to win. We’ve had a 'problem dog' (Gale), a 'rabid dog' (Jesse), now Walt is the stray dog. (When Jesse was playing the game Rage at the beginning of 'Problem Dog' 0407, there is an Easter egg on the wall as he is going down the stairs. The graffiti on the wall spells 'Gale'.) As we get that final shot of Walt riding away, it's also followed by an actual stray dog crossing the street behind him.

Justin

Walt knew the cops were there, which is why he said "You see what I told you when you cross me? You'll end up just like Hank." even though it pained him to say this he only did it to protect Skyler from getting arrested. Walt took all the blame and took Holly to get the police to search for her so it makes him look like he threatened Skyler. Genius plan, even though the truth was that he tried everything he could to save Hank, offered Jack every single barrel he had to go to prison and save Hank but of course it didn't work out. Walt has made some evil decisions but he still always loves his family, and I can't help but respect him for it. Most would think the Jesse part was fucked up, but he blamed Jesse for hanks death, working with him and not at all expecting Hank to be there. He couldn't see Jesse die so he had to nail one big blow to Jesse which is to tell him he watched Jane die to hurt him as bad as he was hurting from losing Hank.

Bob

I'm sure yall know Walt made himself look bad on purpose on the phone

Mark

Lol Shoshanna is the best. I Think im in trauma shock then giggle.

Mark

ikr like walt was defending himself trying to get her to let go of the knife even if walt jr didn’t get in the way i find it very hard to believe that walt would’ve killed skylar there’s no way he would

Alex

underrated ? it’s like the only tv episode ever to have a 10/10 on imdb and is considered one of the best if not the best episodes by fans 😭

Alex

think bc hank was probably their favorite character

Alex

these last two episode reactions have left them depressed they used to talk for 10 mins after reactions now they don’t have anything to say 😂

Alex

far from underrated, this is the most highly acclaimed episode on tv ever lol

Pierce R Conohan

this episode is really amazing. its sad, intense, and harrowing to watch but you just cant look away. its rough, but this episode was coming sooner or later. all walts evil is finally catching up, and it unfortunately ruins everyones lives around him. it feels like a depressing finale but theres still more story to tell. hope you guys come back from the depression this episode inflicted on you and enjoy these last two episodes!

Pierce R Conohan

Great reaction! I love that you guys were speechless most of it. Sometimes the best reactions need no words.

Daniel

I think they were just shook on what they saw transpire, this was a very Heavy episode and it took me a couple days before I could continue, they still love the show though, i think just a lot happened this episode that they were just shocked from it

Theo Sebuliba

Oh shit I kind of felt like that. But now I take it back . Walt being a top villian . He # 3 now 😆 Doing the good guy thing at the end knocks your score down. Good episode .

Tjbosslyfe

You guys have the weirdest reaction to this show I've ever seen!! Literally one of the best episodes of TV ever made, and your reaction is "why do we even keep watching this" ?!?!? I honestly don't understand.

Brad Beach

One of the best tv episodes ever

Jako Williams

The baby's Mother was on set that day and the baby was really asking for MAMA at the time this was shot and they kept it in even though it was not scripted. Kinda cool huh ?

Pitz Woodworks

Let’s go, Team Walt! Hell, it’s just a tv show…might as well have some fun, right?? 👹

Tim Martin

Hank was never a G he was the one always terrified and afraid to admit it. He always put on a fake face, i feel part of that was him doing it one last time.

donte

Walt blew that car up when Skylar made him return it. He NEVER gave him another one.

Pitz Woodworks

Its actually Hanks fault. Jesse told him "Whatever you think is gonna happen, the opposite will".

donte

Now in my opinion the next one is most underrated episode, still team Walt baby!!!

allen koch

They’ve already liked a comment that explained that point, Bobby

Tia

A lot of people misunderstand that part, though, it’s not bc they just hate him. I hate walt too but I understood it. I don’t think he was trying to kill Skyler though.

Tia

Idk how Patreon comments work but we should definitely try and get this to the top so they can see it

Bobby Johnson

The problem is that he thought Jesse had hired hitmen to kill him and he didn’t realize that he was working with Hank to take him down, if he would’ve waited to see who was in the SUV, he wouldn’t have called Jack and then Hank wouldn’t have been killed, plus he wanted Jesse to get killed in front of Andrea and led the neo nazis to when she lives, now she’s in danger which is ironic because Walt told jesse to break it off with her, so that she’s not in the harms way, now she’s in danger because the neo nazis knows where they live. The only reason Skyler attacked Walt because she thought that he killed Hank by himself, she didn’t know the full story because he was not giving her a clear answer

Theo Sebuliba

So Skyler stabs Walt which proceeds to defend himself and suddenly it’s a “please dont let him kill her” ? He almost murdered his wife? Excuse me? If you though Walt would hurt his family , you have not been paying attention. Even Jesse , he only ordered his death when Jesse himself was a threat to his family, otherwise he always protected him. Your hate is actually blinded and because of that you could not see the point of the whole phone call. In your head he is just becoming full evil just because but it’s more complex than that, and this episode is the only 10.0 episode for a reason

Iago

Just pausing,16 minutes in,and I wanna say this is one of the best, most real reactions I have seen so far till this moment. No yacking, no opinion, just watching as we all did the very 1st time!. Hope the rest is good??

allen koch

"My name is ASAC Schrader and you can go fuck yourself" Hank was a G till the end RIP

Lucky Khaya

yea i’m pretty sure that’s what the creators wanted the audience to feel i’m surprised that they didn’t catch that

Alex

bc it’s walter jr’s car? remember when walt got a. new car he bought the charger again for walter jr

Alex

Yea i was hoping they got that but seemed like they didn’t

Alex

I was hoping they got that but it seemed like they didn’t understand

Alex

Man great ass mf reaction !! Can’t wait for the last 2! Y’all were literally me the first time I watched this 🤣🤣

Simon

What…?

Tia

No I’m not defending Walt by the way! I just wanted them to understand that scene better you can go watch a interview even the cast talks about it

Simon

To explain the phone call with Skyler and Walter at the end, Walter was talking like that so they think Skyler was a hostage in the situation, he knew they were listening

Simon

Walt called the neo nazis to come kill Jesse without knowing that him and Hank were working together, if he would’ve waited to see who was in the suv before he called Jack, Hank wouldn’t got killed by them, he just made a assumption that Jesse had hired hitmen to come kill Walt without waiting to see who was in the car

Theo Sebuliba

First of all, RIP to the goat ASAC Schrader and Gomey. Second of all, to the people that said Walt didn’t have anything to do with Jane’s death, he literally just confessed that he could’ve saved her. Third, I feel so bad for Jesse, Walt Jr, and Marie. Fourth, I would’ve said how that phone call from Walt was just to clear Skyler’s name from having anything to do with this, but others have already said it. This episode is just spectacular in every way. When it leaves you feeling like that, you know it’s a banger. Makes me wanna restart in season 1 again to see the “simpler times.” This is the first episode where ish has completely hit the fan. Everyone in the family knows, the police know, hanks gone, Jesse’s held captive, Walt & Jesse hate each other. I mean wow 😭 and right now, there’s no one I want to 1V1 more than Uncle Jack. His crew too. This show is so entertaining because I was okay with Walt in the beginning of the show, but then I started to dislike him, then I don’t want him to get caught, but then I hate him and I do want him to get caught. Right now I hate Walt, and I’m almost never on his side, but the finale feels a little different for me. You’ll see what I’m talking about probably. It’s a FANTASTIC episode as well and I think ya’ll will really enjoy how this show wraps up.

Tia

Anddddd it’s actually Jesse’s fault Hank is dead😂

Nathan Williams

Walt only called Skylar to clear her name, he didn’t mean what he said

Nathan Williams

Rip to Hank and Gomez man😔

Simon

Yea, I knew this one would break yall. Yall really goin thru it. Do yourselves a favor and watch the last 2 this weekend. Don't wait a week. Trust me

Jah (jakwiq) (Jah Quick)

LETS GOOO, been waiting so long for this episode

Simon

I’m reacting to this rn

Mack M

bro yall were SPEECHLESS this entire ep but so were all of us when we first saw it😆

Sebas george

Honestly, when I first watched this episode, it was so heavy and crazy and so many things happened at all at once that I didn’t catch what Walt was doing when he called Skyler because I was still trying to get over what happened during that episode, it doesn’t surprise me that they didn’t understand what was happening during that scene because they saw so much and were trying to process everything, i don’t think just because someone doesn’t understand one scene from a show means that they’re dumb, it’s a first time reaction they’re not going to catch everything the first watch

Theo Sebuliba

Just want to say. Walt knew the cops were listening in on his conversation with Skyler. He absolved her of everything in a confession of forcing her along. Most of what he said on the phone call was to pin himself as a monster who killed Hank and abused his wife into keeping quiet. Hence why he called her a b****

Oscar Prieto

Attack on titan used to have 3 episodes ranked a 10/10. This episode is also fantastic

Sean Carroll

People with a brain vs people without lol. It's revealed in the next episode though.

TyPan

True, but he also wanted to keep Skylar from going to prison. He did this all for his kids, so once he accepted his fate of having to go into hiding alone, he gave the kids the only thing he could - their mother. Hence all the tears.

SV1976

Fun fact. This is the ONLY episode on any TV-show/series that has a 10/10 rating on IMDb, and deservingly so.

TyPan

Fun Fact: At 21:05 Walt rolls the barrel past his old pants from episode 1.

Uncool Ghoul

It's interesting to see which reactors get why Walter says those things to Skylar on the phone. Some people get it right away but most do not.

Sule

I think it’s still selfish because the only reason he does it is so he can live with himself afterward. To make himself feel better. If he really cared he would have turned himself in.

Ben Clark

This is probably the heaviest piece of tv I’ve ever seen

Ben Gibb

I really did love y’all’s reaction. This is an incredibly tough episode to digest react to and talk about. Especially a first viewing I couldn’t do it if I was in y’all’s shoes. I remember I think it was around season 4 or 3 Vince said something like “if Jesse and Walt just get out of this and they’re sipping mojitos on a beach I I’ll be amazed” at that point I thought about this episode and the finale, that’s certainly not what happens lol. Coming off of this episode the show can seem too much but hopefully there’ll be a little closure by the end and with time to sit with it, it’ll stick with you and you’ll see it as one of the craziest shows you’ve watched. Like it is with seemingly all of us and with almost everyone that watches from start to finish.

Terry

I think it was a selfless act, one of the few Walt does in the entire series. It just doesn't make up for the many evil things he's done, or the fact that they're in this mess because of him.

Munir

Now that the comments have loaded and Im reading through them, I can see a lot of people already beat me to this lol

David Lynskey

You now have the trauma we all had 😅 but one thing I think I should point out that you missed was when Walt was talking to skylar on the phone he knew the police were there, he was just saying all that to make it look like she was innocent and just being threatened

Kobe Adams

When I watch that phone call scene, to me the reason that Walt says those things is his last effort to protect Skylar and truly paint himself as a monster so she is off the hook. He knew the police were there. On the phone he said she had no idea about his business, to me thats his way of making sure she doesnt get investigated with him for her part in the money laundering

David Lynskey

I want to know why the Charger is still in front of Walters house. ????

Pitz Woodworks

It’s still crazy that within a year he went from cooking meth so he can have enough money to pay off his chemotherapy and make enough money for his family when he passes to now being a fugitive on the run and his family being torn apart and broken

Theo Sebuliba

I don't know what happens next but The same van Jessie turned down. Might be what takes Walt to safety. Emotions and payback or revenge ,hurt every character on the show.

Tjbosslyfe

Walter was horrible on the phone to skyler on purpose. He knew the police were listening to him and wanted to make it sound like skyler was innocent so only Walter would be the criminal. "You didnt build this, me, ONLY ME". Skyler picked up on what he was doing and went along with it

Sean Carroll

I was talking about when he got home and tried to make them escape with him.

Aldo Gonzales

It was so many steps that lead to this. Walt ego to think he could keep his family was crazy. Walt was trying to put out all these fires . He lost control of the situation. I'll just say Walt wife grabbed the knife. Tried to stab him he tried to get Knife out her hand . He told the guys not to come. But taking the duaghter I didn't expect that. Walt has officially breaking bad. I never saw Marie telling Jr. Jr finally saw his dad in a different light. Never thought I see that happen . Since his secret out . Walt no longer the final boss. He a man on the run now. But a guy with cancer. Who wanted to die. His family convinced him to fight cancer. That was the birth of Hizenberg to me. They just didn't know it yet.

Tjbosslyfe

what do you mean he tried to make them accessories to his crimes? He absolved Skyler of any of her crimes by taking the entire blame on the phone call. He knew the police were listening in and made the phone call horrible on purpose so skyler looked innocent

Sean Carroll

I was wondering if they were gonna get that or not, the last reactor I watched didn’t. That’s why the acting is so good, walt sounds so harsh on the phone, but his tears of having to say it at the same time. wow.

Tia

Let’s wait for the next tv series suggestion post, but while we’re on the topic I’m going for X-Men ‘97.

Aldo Gonzales

Same here, but I was too sleepy.

Aldo Gonzales

Great reaction. This episode cannot be described with words. I felt the EXACT same way you guys did after my first watch. Disgusted, sad, angry. But after a day or two of thinking on it, I became less angry and more anxious to see how the hell they managed to make 2 more episodes after all of this. Even crazier when you think IRL viewers were given a whole week to think and grow anticipation, just shows the greatness of the entire BB crew. I hope that you guys feel the same the next 3-5 days until you watch ep. 15.

Daniel Ward

Walt hasn’t been this delusional since Skylar tried to divorce him in season 3. He tried to have it both ways by wanting to save Hank and walk away a free man. He didn’t kill Hank and Steve directly, but he’s the one who called the hitmen in the first place. He didn’t realize Hank and Steve were the ones with Jesse right away, but he had already sealed their fate by making the call. Whether Hank called for reinforcements or not, the cavalry would definitely be on their way. Two well-known DEA agents going MIA for several hours doesn’t add up. Then he tries to make his family accessories to his crimes. Granted Skylar was directly involved, but Flynn was innocent. He didn’t even know about any of this until today.

That flashback was crazy seeing how that was one year ago of Walt’s lies has now led to his family being torn apart within that one year

I always have the debate . Which villian is worst . The guy bad from the beginning. Or the one that gets worst over time . I think the villian who thinks he doing the right thing is always the most dangerous. He not having any doubts . Walt Darkside is probably the worst character I've seen .

Believe this, it is not over yet.

Snowfall next

btw the phone call when walter called skyler, he knew the cops were there and all the stuff he said he only said to shift blame away from skyler so she wouldnt have been arrested aswell. thats why he took the blame for hanks murder and said the same would happen to skyler

håkon hollekim rodak

The reason Walt made that call was to take all the blame and be the scapegoat for Skyler Still not necessarily a selfless act by any means.

Ben Clark

Yep. Unfortunately, Hank isn’t the main character. Guess it was time for him to go. He got to slap the cuffs on Heisenberg. That’s what he really wanted. He had already accepted the fact that he was going to die. He went out like a man.

Peak TV episode, absolute roller coaster of emotions

Raden

Greatest show of all time.

Irrelevant

I love Bryan Cranston's reading of it.

Mic

This show is like a modern day shakespearean or greek tragedy in the rise and fall of its main character. So much symbolism and thought given to the writing and visuals. Truly one of the greatest episodes of television ever.

Mic

Let the chaos and tears ensue

Another TOP 5 episode for me.

Episode 14 "Ozymandias" OZYMANDIAS by PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY (1818) I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said - “Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand, Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed; And on the pedestal, these words appear: My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away." --- I hope you enjoyed it, I won't post it again :D
