This movie is one of my personal favorites because of the themes as well as the great acting from the whole cast. To answer Vince's question: my theory is that Graham never pressed charges, both because he knew Ray (small town) and knew it was an honest accident.

How do they get through windows? If they have to be let in they couldn't just enter through them as well. And you can find Holy water outside the Middle East, heck just go to any catholic church and its usually just inside for people to use to cross themselves as they enter and leave.

Thanks for your comment, please leave more comments. Speaking of parents not being able to communicate a catastrophe to their children; how does the scene in Titanic feel, when the mother is telling stories to her children while the water rises? Dreadful I’d be interested to hear what you think about the movie Don’t Look Up. That one also filled me with a similar kind of dread: the scientists can’t explain to the general public how much danger they’re in.

Exactly this movie isn't really about an alien invasion it is about a man finding his faith again and non- belief vs faith. The water at the end resembles holy water. Bo has premonitons of morgan throughout the film which come true. When they are in the basement after reports of the aliens leaving they say places like Jerusalem and other holy cities found a way to fight them off. It also states that they came to harvest our bodies. It is a sci-fi Christian film at heart.

Might be too boring for her.

I want a fan theory YouTube video about signs a couple weeks ago. The theory is that they aren’t aliens, but demons. Which is why they can’t open doors, because demons have to be let in. Also talks about how they found a primitive way of fighting them in the Middle East using holy water.

I actually saw this in the theater probably somewhere around six or seven times. Each time, I went with someone seeing it for the first time so that I could enjoy the experience vicariously through them. Particularly the ending. Which is why it is always a treat to get to see any of the Patreon channels I subscribe to react to it, so thank you so much for this ☺️😌. The dinner table scene hits especially hard for me now though, because I have young kids close to Morgan and Bo’s age (my oldest son is 9 and my youngest son just turned 7 in May. Though I also have a 16 year old daughter)… But my biggest, and most impalpable fear that often times keeps me up at night is ever having to face an apocalyptic scenario as a parent to young children. Whether it be something as far-fetched in this movie like an alien invasion, something not quite as far fetched like an asteroid/comet collision, or something not very far fetched at all this day and age like a global terrorist attack or impending nuclear Armageddon…I stare at the ceiling some nights and think how I would react, how I would (or even *if* I would) convey the reality of the situation to my kids, and would I honestly be able to keep it together for their sake 😩😔. So, this movie continues to remain extremely relevant to me. And I totally get the sentiment about it being a bit slow, Shyamalan’s movies tend to have a solemn, moderate pace and tone, but I enjoyed the reaction nonetheless, lol 😍🥰. Also, Ray wasn’t arrested despite there being a fatality because it was generally the definition of an “accident”, and considering it being a small town with a small Sheriff’s department as the primary law enforcement agency, a criminal investigation was likely not initiated. That being said, if Graham had decided to press charges, it could potentially have led to a vehicular manslaughter conviction under the suspicion of irresponsible operation of a motor vehicle, considering Ray had been driving irresponsibly/while fatigued, but I feel like the movie suggests that Graham’s character wouldn’t have pursued such an extreme course of action under the circumstances (both Graham and Colleen’s first questions upon learning what had happened was if Ray was okay, after all…) By the way…Greenland shares a similar tone but much more frenetic/face-paced, and is fairly newer (2020). It stars Gerard Butler as a father to a young boy shortly after the sudden announcement of an impending comet collision with Earth. Very moving and realistic take on how modern society would react (and swiftly begin to collapse) in such a scenario. Highly recommend even if you don’t do it for the channel 😊

Poll was Wrong. They asked which movie was more relevant to scary movie 3. Not which movie you prefer to watch.

Mt Night Shyamalan the director . After signs I never watched his movies till thus day . People say his movies have good trailers but don't live up to the hype . I had this on VHS. This a Thriller I guess . I don't watch his movies . Jordan pelle took that horror genre over .

This movie scared me so badly as a kid, more than other horrors for whatever reason. But loved the film still

Love this movie. Scared the shit out of me like The Ring when I saw it in theatres.
