Yeah, you can see he immediately regrets it, and I agree that it looks like he's afraid. But also I feel like this is so out of character for Mike, almost like his rage made him drop all reason. He knew there was a gun in the bag, so why not at least check it before you go on a tantrum. He also knew Walt had an ego problem, which means he knew that Walt would get mad after that speech and probably act out rashly, and if he had a gun, probably start shooting. It just feels like it was such a dumb way for a smart and experienced character such as Mike to die. If he controlled his emotions, Walt probably would have been the one to be killed and he would have been free.

Mike is a dawg and he's never out of the fight. Cause Vince is right it makes no sense to shoot him before getting the names. He was either so angry he did it out of rage. Or he was also scared and felt like he had to shoot Mike by the time he'd already gotten close. And he was kinda right bc Mike DID have another gun. So he would have killed Walt if he didn't get so hurt that he couldn't. As much of a killer as Mike is he's an old man and he got shot.

Even his infant child? Gus stated that he is going to handle Hank since Walt couldn't handle him. You know good and well that if Gus threatened Mike's family like that Mike would of done the same thing. The whole reason it fell apart was because Walt protected Jesse from those gang members and took the L for Jesse to live. He has always looked out for Jesse and Mike acting like it was because of Walt's pride and ego is just straight up bs.

Gus was only nice to get in good with law enforcement. Gus left that bank info which lead to everybody money being taken . Not Walt. Mike killed a lot of people. So he wasn't a innocent character. He got more bodies that Walt does. Mike just started working for a more ambitious boss.

I'm not sure if people could say that . 🤔 Walt makes the show what it is . He went from family little guy scientist with a uptight marriage and cancer. To the head of a 100 million dollar drug bussiness . Walt character arc is one of the best villian arcs in TV history. Skyler I don't need to see her on screen anymore . She not bringing anything to the show anymore. Her acting has been great tho.

Once they realize who he is, Declan's actor especially portrays a delicate fear so perfectly. This old bald guy with glasses who dresses like an average American, is the biggest name in the meth business. This show is so good- it's almost surreal. Maybe the best moment in television history.
