2024-06-25 10:36:59 +0000 UTCI’m glad they talked about Starlight’s character and i agree. I think her naivety was a really great contrast as we were introduced to the supes in S1. But once that was done, it just becomes annoying when we see all the attempts that the boys have been making to take down supes and it not really working. The weird thing is that she is literally the ONLY supe who’s been portrayed as good, not shitty in any way but somehow the way she’s written never makes me as an audience want to hold her up as an example of those who are still drawing the line in this fight and stand for something. If anything, that’s mainly MM and Hughie now. They never show her to have any agency in what she does at Vought and is just relegated to playing along with the fake media persona and Homelander. It also doesn’t help that she’s such a weak supe with her powers.

Edgart did make her co captain with homelander which gave her some authority. But Edgart leaving took her power away . Starlight was important till Edgart left . Starlight trying to stop things from within . That's a difficult job . Homelander right on her back every step . She putting a lot of risk on her self .

The A train not caring about the community . In the episode when him and his brother was on the porch he compared himself to Micheal Jordan . Jordan is said not to speak on Black issues . Like LeBron. Micheal famously said Republicans buy shoes too . People in the black community felt Jordan didn't stand up for black issues . AND Jordan teammates had unflattering things to say about him . Scott pipen came out with a book anti about Jordan . They basically making A train the Micheal Jordan of the show . He just run instead of playing basketball.

Neal also helped produce the Fast & Furious franchise. I’m so glad you guys checked out the films, and I look forward to Hobbs & Reyes and Fast 11. One more thing: the legend was portrayed by none other than Paul Reiser. He was Dr. Owens in Stranger Things, and I hope we see him again in season five.
