2024-06-10 18:24:19 +0000 UTCSo when paul was fighting Feyd-Rautha near the end, he was stabbed in the stomach with his own knife, and Feyd went in for the kill. Paul pulled his knife out of himself, and hit Feyd when he was going in for the final stab. Paul took the attack in order to get him close enough to kill blow. This was a callback to when Paul was training in the first movie with Gurney "You would have joined me in death" Gurney stated when Paul bragged about getting a killing blow in. Gurney showed Paul that he had to pay attention to his opponent, even when going in for the kill. Feyd never learned this lesson.

The spice represents spores, the worms represent bugs and creatures that spread the spores and eat the mushrooms. The Blue liquid is based on Psilocybe Cubensis, which turns blue when bruised and can be created into a blue liquid. All very psychedelic.

Also in the book Chani was totally with Paul and his vision and everything. Also taking the emperors daughter in marriage was just a tactic. Paul doesn't care for her in any way. He loves Chani.

I did generally like this movie more because there was more action and we have more of Paul and Chani in person. Gurney is probably my favorite character just from how badass he is. Now we wait for part 3.
