And I believe that is why you don’t get it. He is not leaving because they are not catering to the majority, he just said he doesn’t like any of the “major fan pleasing movies” besides The Boys on top of not liking the old movies. This is a “you scratch my back I scratch yours” interaction. If he or anyone else feels they aren’t getting their money’s worth they should leave. You have to look at things in other peoples perception before you call their perspective silly.

2024-05-26 05:52:15 +0000 UTCThis channel has always been one of my favorites specifically because they haven't stuck to the same content as everyone else. Their diversity is both refreshing, and makes them better reactors, IMO. They still do all the major fan-pleasing movies (MCU, F&F, Kong, etc). And, through the individual suggestions, they do a wide range of other stuff (Les Mis, Heat, Gilbert Grape). Going back to movies from the 30's, 40's, 50's, etc both breaks up the flood of modern genre material and strengthens their media literacy. Looking back over the past 50 or so movie reactions they've done, only 5 or 6 were classics (and that's ignoring the nearly hundred show reactions from modern content like Stranger Things, Loki, Breaking Bad, and The Boys). I'd think that, with how prolific they are in putting out content, suggesting that patrons would leave because they aren't only catering to the majority is silly. Then again, I'm used to being in the minority camp.

They’re in a tough spot because they really enjoy watching old movies, but the majority doesn’t care for them

This would provide a mix of genres, which may not please everyone but would likely make more people happy than a constant stream of comedy movies. Additionally, it’s important not to let the same few people subscribe to the premium tier every month. I understand that Tom Tattershall enjoys these old movies for his own reasons, but there's a reason why they don't resonate with the broader audience.

Unfortunately, they reverted back to non themed polls, and now we're getting movies like Scary Movie and the Fast and Furious franchise. I hope they do well and find success, but I don't see any personal value in supporting a channel that hardly features anything I'm interested in anymore.

Many of the recent movies don't interest me, and I don't feel like I'm getting value for my monthly subscription. My taste in movies seems to differ from the majority here, and there's a lack of consistency or diversity in the schedule for content I might be interested in. I'm not trying to cause any drama, but I think I need to take a break from The Perfect Mix. I wish you all the best, but it's been two weeks of content that, aside from The Boys, hasn't really appealed to me.
