2024-05-07 22:43:49 +0000 UTCLittle heads up but moving forward you'll be following a new timeline that was born from the events of this film. Using Loki TVA terms this is a branched timeline that broke off from the events happening in 1973. A timeline where Bolivar Trask was never assassinate but one where Magneto attacked the white house. So in this new timeline they'll be elements that simply don't line up with the original films thanks to some events changing. Deadpool was officially the first film set in this timeline so that's how Deadpool has a whole new origin to what you saw in X-Men Origins. For the most part the original X-Men films would've still happened in a similar way but just Jean and Scott never died. Some other changes in between as well. Just something to keep in mind while watching these future films, mostly the prequel movies. Hopefully you check out X-Men 97 somewhere down the line as well, the best slice of Marvel content since Infinity War that's how much fans have been enjoying the show, even non X-Men fans such as people new to X-Men are loving it as well.

At the height of his power, he was able to control the magnetism of the poles of the Earth and tilt the Earth on its axis. That's just insane. And Jeam Grey Phoenix is still stronger than that. I love how they discuss the risks of time travel in the beginning, instead of everyone just agreeing with the plan. Bobby’s death was more meaningful in saving Rogue. And having Rogue be the one holding Logan in the end just seems more fitting. It’s a shame they cut all her scenes, she deserved to be in the final cut.

And yup, before he was Eitri in Infinity War, Peter Dinklage portrayed Bolivar Trask. Bishop, Blink, Sunspot, and Warpath aren’t official members of the X-Men. They’re actually a group of displaced mutants who don’t have a lot of hope for the future, but they decided to turn to the X-Men in a final attempt to save the world. Also, this version of Quicksilver is probably the funniest X-Man. Evan Peters is always a win. “Just because someone stumbles and loses their way, it doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.” You guys heard 838-Charles say that quote in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This movie is where it originated. A bit of a bummer that you guys didn’t go the Rogue Cut, but the good news is that you’re almost caught up on X-Men. Since you already saw Deadpool 1 and 2, you only have one film left – probably two. The next film would be Apocalypse, but if I’m honest not much is built from that then on. I’m looking forward to much more is Logan. Dark Phoenix and New Mutants on the other hand left something to desire.
