I agree... I love how El didn't give Brenner what he wanted. That whole moment was so epic. The instrumental song gets me every time. The song is called "Eleven" and it's a pretty low key song originally that first played in season 1. It plays in 1x02 when El is first exploring the Wheeler home. In that moment El is sad because she's looking at everything she missed out on. The childhood she could have had. And here they have turned it into this grand and epic orchestral version. Which is perfect because in this moment, she is taking control of her life. Every time I hear it I get chills because it sounds so badass/triumphant like El is taking control and power back. Also her speech to Brenner earlier in the episode was perfect. That son of a bitch has the nerve to blame her and El is not having any of that shit and calls him out as the monster he was. Also how perfect is it that he died alone in the Nevada desert after being denied the closure he so wanted. A deserving death if you ask me. Even better than when we thought he was eaten by a demogorgon.

Yeah, people always think they're right from their 'perspective'. While he certainly had a right to be upset, he's in the wrong. First of all, only an idiot would choose to go after someone they suspected as a serial killer. Because what are you going to do? Secondly, he was way too blinded by his vendetta to see clearly. The helicopter scene is probably my favorite thing El has done since the fight with Billy in the sauna. 😆 I think you’re both right about Papa. He loved her in his own twisted way, but his twisted ways are what allowed him to put everyone else in danger and kidnap/torture all those poor kids. As sick as he was, he was a very important character in El’s storyline, so I agree that his dramatic send-off was very well done and deserved. As everyone else is saying, there’s NOTHING that can prepare you for the finale!! 😂 Btw, I’m so glad you guys caught on to Will confessing his feelings for Mike. He was talking about El, but mostly about himself. He also lied when he said El asked him to make that painting for Mike. I was also so glad Jonathan noticed, because if anyone is going to be there for Will, it’s Jonathan.

Eddie yelling with the Iron Maiden cassette was so funny that it rapidly became a meme. I also cracked up at Hopper threatening Yuri with his sock. I’ve been waiting for this episode to share my thoughts about Jane’s progress throughout the show. With every season, she’s gradually become more vocal. Her experiences helped her develop her own thoughts and emotions, and by stepping into the outside world she was able to find her own voice. The way she stood up to Brenner was almost a culmination of everything she endured, how strong-willed she’s become, and how determined she is to fight for her friends and the world.

Yeah it’s no secret that Will’s whole message to Mike was about himself Also heavily implied (without actually saying it) that Will is gay from the 3rd season when Mike yelled at Will for not liking girls to the beginning of this season where Will was weirded out by the girl who liked him in class. Even when Mike showed up in the airport Will wanted to go in for a hug and give him that gift that he gave him this episode but Mike was only interested in Eleven. Even when Will was confronting Eleven about her lying to Mike he was pissed off because he would never do that to Mike. So little hints they drop in before the car scene in this episode.
