Stranger Things (Season 4 - Episode 7)

I know I’m very late but around the 53 minute mark is the shot of everyone on the bikes and it goes from the kids to the upside down. Cool shot but if you notice, every kid who’s riding a bike has their bike light on and everyone in the upside down has theirs off except for Eddie. I think it has to mean something.

It was definitely better to go deeper than to ATTEMPT to go back through the portal. There were around 14 bats surrounding the portal. That fight scene they just had, they fought 3…. THREE. They saw the amount and knew they would more than likely be killed if they even ATTEMPTED to pass them.

It is soo cool that Baby El was able to do all of that at her little age. The 2 teams working to find a way outta the upside down was so so good. That shot of them riding bikes down the street heading to Eddie's trailer.. fantastic. The Hopper & Joyce reunion is so touching. Gets me every time. Hop is my Favorite from day 1. Great Reaction!!

I get why Shoshana makes the argument that this episode migjt be better than episode 4, because of all the reveals and information we get on this one. So, definetely one of the top 3 episodes of the season and maybe the series. Howeverrrrr!!! Episode 4 got us holding our breath because of Max!! That emotion and connection we felt to her just makes episode 4 hit different!! So, in my opinion, episode 4 is still better because of those emotions, but episode 7 is just huge in the overall arc of the story! 💪🔥💪🔥💪🔥💪🔥💪🔥💪🔥💪🔥

Shoshana is right. It was a really really good episode cuz they solved so many problems and answered so many questions. The way they revealed not one but TWO characters linked to the same person was PERFECT. EXCELLENT. Also yes, Vince’s reaction is pure gold 😂 i was making the same face the first time i saw this. Yes, but the way you implied it, she 'created' him. He was always like this. She only created the physical body and it was a total accident. I think he was always going to try and eradicate humans. He basically said in his speech how humans were the problem and interfered in the natural order of things.

This is why those monsters have been after her. Henry wants revenge on her, and he rightfully views her as his equal. He knows if anyone could stop him, it would be her. He recognized in her traits that he saw in himself, however the difference lies in the fact that she has the capacity to love and empathize and he doesn't. What makes her angry is that she was stolen from her mother at birth and forced to grow up in such an isolating environment that fostered cruel competition between children in order to create the ideal soldier. When you think back to her in season 1, and she was devastated when she believed herself to be a monster; and you see it again when she thought she killed all of the others this season. Henry doesn't feel that about his victims. I also think he's a little terrified of her capabilities. She's never explored and studied her powers to master them like he has. You can see the genuine shock when she turned things around on him because he hasn't encountered anyone strong enough to go up against him. He viewed all of the kids in the project as inferior to him, and underestimated what Eleven could do.

El didn't actually create Vecna. Henry was messed up long before she did what she did. She just accidentally provided him the opportunity to increase his evilness. Just as he preyed on Chrissy and Fred, he preyed on a vulnerable 7 year old and manipulated her just like he accused papa of doing.

Everyone talks about the Dear Billy episode being the best, but for me, THIS episode is peak television, and it’s what elevated the entire series to another level. Vecna’s backstory is SO well written . So many layers, so many connections, so many reveals in just one story. Finding out he’s ONE. Finding out he’s Victor Creel’s SON. Finding out Elle helped create him. Finding out he’s the reason behind EVERYTHING since season 1. It’s one of the best reveals I’ve ever watched.
