The funny thing is if Eddie would have been in custody after Chrissy, the cops would have had two murders proving it was not Eddie. But like you said, they left them in the dark on everything.

Granted the police in this season are pretty bad but I also can't see how they could possibly be good. I mean Callahan's a dipshit but Chief Powell I think would be a good cop if he knew what the hell was going on. A part of me wishes that they had looped him in. They need the law on their side. They had Hopper helping them for the first 3 seasons and now they need someone else. This would be an easy thing to prove. The receipts are easy enough to produce. Tell Powell all the shit that has happened and then bring him into the action. Say "Hey, come fight a demogorgon with us and we'll prove the Upside Down and everything exists." Say what you will about Powell and Callahan but the truth has been kept from them all these years and now how are they supposed to not assume it's Eddie who did it (After all she did die in his trailer and he was the last one known to have seen her alive. And let's be real Vecna is kinda unimaginable to someone who has no knowledge about what has transpired the last 3 years). They can't pull the answer to this mystery out of their asses. They are working with the knowledge they have and unfortunately that's not a whole lot at this time.

Can't wait for episode 7!!!!! Remember that we as watchers when this first was released only got episodes 1-7 and we got 9 and 9 i think a month later or something like that. So we had to wait for the last 2 episodes so everyone was building up theories on what would happen, just building up the suspense lo. Enjoy these last 3 episodes!!! 9 is one of the greatest finales ( IMO ) in tv show history.

fun fact steve was supposed to die in season 1, and lonnie (jonathan and wills dad) was supposed to come in and help nancy and jonathan fight the demogorgon in the s1 finale. but the producers liked joe keery so much that they decided to keep him longer
