I know what you mean about Erica. I love her character, and I like what she adds to the show. I like her sass, but sometimes she's very obnoxious. I HATE obnoxious people. It's one of those things that gets under my skin, and it's almost impossible to justify to the point where it isn't annoying.

When Nancy said "You don't know what it's like," she was referring to her being a woman, and the way she was being treated because she's female. Hazing is a real thing in the workplace, yes, but the tricks they were pulling on her (the rat in the cupboard, ect) weren't part of hazing because she's an intern or new. They were because she's a woman. Women are still discriminated against today, but for the most part, it's nothing like what it was in the 80s. He's not wrong in what he said. She was trying too hard, trying to climb the ladder too fast, and she didn't think about how her actions would affect him. But he was speaking as though what she was going through was the same was what he was going through, and it isn't. As a man, he doesn't live in her world. He doesn't get it, and in the time in which this show is set, there's no way he could without being educated. What she was saying was going over his head. Nancy was in the wrong, but he was also missing a vital piece of context, failing to see a big part of what she was dealing with. When someone talks to you as if they get what it's like and they don't, it's frustrating. Hope this makes sense. Banger of a reaction, as always you two.

Nancy didn't stop to think about Jonathan's situation and how important a job like that could be for him. But also, Jonanthan was not thinking about how hard it is for Nancy, being a female to be taken seriously. This was the 80's and it was very hard for women to climb the career ladder back then. So, I feel like they both could've used a bit of understanding from the other person.
