Emily was also jealous of O aswell. Because he was the perfect boyfriend to Desi, something Hugo wasn’t to Emily. Everything about this movie is centered around jealousy. O was jealous aswell that he could never be accepted into this world surrounded by white people. He was the hawk. He didn’t fit in. And all that jealousy each character felt was exploited by the one who had the most jealousy, Hugo. Shakespeare is the reason we have movies today. Or at least dramatic movies. He was well ahead of his time. Also Michael did survive. So only 4 people died. Not 5 thank god lol.
