Claudette Colbert starred in two other movies in 1934 that were also nominated for Best Picture: CLEOPATRA (she was Cleopatra) and IMITATION OF LIFE, a drama dealing with some issues of race. She was a popular actress in the 30s and 40s.

I was so so so very shocked when I saw this movie show up in my email, since I feel like among the many of the old classic films, this lovely movie in my opinion falls under the radar, that I didn't think anyone would request this wonderful classic๐คฉ. This is also 1 of my favorite old time movies and I love both the actor/Clark Gable/ and the actress/Claudia../ that play as the main leads in here... I just love that dry sarcastic humor that both of the main characters have; but of course, Clark Gable truly always does such a fine job in delivering with that dry sarcasm humor that makes me laugh ๐. Anywho, I'm so happy you both watched this with much enjoyment!!! Again, I got to "THANK" Tom alot for requesting this for the Perfect Mix to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching this and laughing with you allโบ๏ธ.
