PL

The part at the beginning, when Tom Holland hugs RDJ, was unscripted.

Mighty Warrior

I like the Far End of the Credits when Captain America showed up again And he said Then you wonder why you waited so long for something so Disappointing

Josiah Pacheco

Fun fact Peters Academic's teacher that takes them to DC is the same guy That Bruce Banner bribes with a pizza to use the computer at the University in The Incredible Hulk , not just the same guy but the same guy in the Marvel Universe. IT'S 100% CANNON, also another fun fact is that the director took a fan theory and loved it so much that he made the little kid that wore the iron man mask in Ironman 2 that stood up to the bot is now PETER as a kid

Andrew S

Basically the Tobey trilogy was supposed to be more palletteable for regular audiences. Which at the time it was, with Spidey 2 being one of the biggest summer movies ever made. The Amazong Spiderman was made to be more like the comics, which it was. With the tom Holland spiderman, they made their own modern spin while also make Spiderman almost a spinoff hero for the first time, in that he's not introduced by his own movie. Also, much younger take than ever before, so it makes sense to make him a novice. But still. As Vince said, Spiderman is incredibly strong. He can body pretty much anyone in a fist fight, and it almost always holding back his strength due to his good hearted nature. He could literally rip people apart if he was evil.

Justin M Borowski

Peter has a training wheel setting because he’s supposed to complete a virtual class the suit has to teach him but he skipped the class lol

Simon

In the comics I believe Peter's first love interest was Liz, then Gwen (until she died) then I think after graduation he had a little thing with Betty brant at the daily bugle (the blond girl who hangs out with Liz in this), then he went with MJ who became his wife though he is usually torn between her and felicia hardy (black cat) who loves spiderman not peter. Felicia wasn't in this but she did pop up in amazing spiderman 2 as Harry's assistant

Rigs216

always thank you for this, i love your reactions

Maximiliano Vagnoni

The next dozen films are my favorite MCU films, they're all just so good in their own way and I hope you don't take too long getting to the next ones because I'm loving every single reaction you two do! Can't wait for Thor: Ragnarok! Such a fun one!

DaftBasterd

I love Happy's line at the end "I've been carrying this since 2008". Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) is the reason the MCU is a thing with him betting everything on Iron Man & RDJ back in 2008 ;)

Rippan

I can see how you can see how Spider-Man overrated, and I predict you guys will see why people love him in Spiderman into the spiderverse

fernando garcia

For me, this is my favorite cinematic spiderman. Tom's is the only one that feels like a teen trying to get a handle on having powers. So much of the movie is him dealing with normal teen stuff...trying to grow up too fast, mishandling situations because he thinks he's already an adult, trying to handle girls and school and friends.... Love that he's only 8 months into having powers and just starting to be Spider-Man, and messing up left and right (though he does get a churro, so that's a win). Also love that his costume LOOKS homemade. He's a 15 year old kid on a shoe-string budget, he's not going to pull a custom-formed neoprene suit out of nowhere.

Holly R

On your first question ('designs his own webshooters') everyone seems to frame it as TomSpider is just given the tech. However, of the three, Tom is the only one who creates his own webbing. Toby gets it organically, so no development there, and Andrew steals it from Oscorp. Tom and Andrew both develop their own shooters, though.

Holly R

Love you reactions guys as always! Next three movies are big!

Andres Avendaño

Funny bit of Trivia. Jennifer Connelly does the voice of the AI Karen in this film. She is married to Paul Bettany (Jarvis/Vision) in real life.

Mark

The reason why Spider-Man is so popular is because he’s so relatable. He deals with loss, being poor, getting bullied, having a job, barely being able to pay his bills and the whole thing about his character is anyone could wear the mask. Anyone could’ve been bitten but it was him so he struggles with all these things and is a superhero it makes someone who plays the games, read the comics, watch him on tv or the big screen be able to say I could be Spider-Man

TROID

Whatever you say bro that’s your opinion

Chriis Josiiah

Yeah, that's what overrated means.. he's everywhere. Cool, interesting character but if it was based solely on that, many other marvel characters would also have tons of representation throughout media.

MachhJuann

Batman and him yeah

LeSteeler

The next 3 movies are heavy hitters...Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War

Bo1and

I guess their opinions is what happens when you watch all of the spider-man movies all in one shot, (Not even done with all them by the way). Next MCU film is Thor: Ragnarok, pretty good change of pace movie.

Jo-el Brown

also a bit of trivia, the guy Vulture was talking to at the end is Mac Gargan who is the supervillain Scorpion in the comics. He has a scorpion tattoo on his neck.

Jonny

Yep and their are so many periods of peter life in the comics when he is much older he can be in college or this version that's in high school along with several love interest which makes sense and is more realistic.

Rashad Walker

Exactly! So glad you pointed that out. MCU had so many outlets to fill Spider-Man into as well with the Avengers. The previous movies showed so much of Spider-Man and Peter Parker in different depth, this was the perfect way to go.

Zac Cochrane

THANOS IS COMING

Trey Mitchell

bruh im trippin i didn't remember that postcredit scene XDD sorry

dikuzon

most of his movies do numbers and are hits especially this summer, he has probably the most memorable set of villains and storylines so of course he is going to have a large fanbase

Chriis Josiiah

Spiderman is overused more than any character besides Batman...I like the character but not in love with him like others.

Rashad Walker

Why*

Rashad Walker

Yeah I don't know they said ant man and the wasp is next wtf lol

Rashad Walker

Thor Ragnarok is next then black panther, to bring up the whole origin thing on why the MCU didn't dive into it...was for the very reason u brought up...spiderman has been rebooted twice since 2002 and this is the latest installment....toby McGuire version showed the uncle Ben backstory and the Andrew Garfield version dove into the parents so the MCU felt like they didn't need to go that route again. Really doesn't make sense to keep goin to that trope again.

Rashad Walker

next is thor ragnarok also top tier mcu movie

Robinronaldo7

Next up Thor Ragnarok then Black Panther

Fred Fonseca

Ant Man and the Wasp has a major Infinity War spoiler in the post credit scene.

Joseph

Im sure Ant Man and the Wasp comes after Infinity War. Its Thor Ragnarok. Black Panther and then Infinity War

Jonny

nice reaction like always mi gente 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

dikuzon

Spi-Spider-Man overrated??? I mean maybe it’s different for some people because they have other forms of media that do the character justice like the spectacular Spider-Man show, Spider-Man ps4, web of shadows, and DEFINITELY into the spider-verse really made me love the character

Chriis Josiiah

Peter becomes Spidey at 15 years old, i think hes meant to be 16 here. Also i grew up as an only child and had a bunk bed until my teens, for when friends stayed over.

JPShadow

Yeah Spider-Man has had so many adaptations because he’s Marvel’s most popular character by a mile. He’s literally the face of the company. Similar to DC with Batman & Superman.

Graviton

You guys are killing it with all these marvel reactions! Thank you guys ☺️

Saul Hernandez

Watch the Pianist, it'll make you cry for sure

captain Feeney

Next is Thor: Ragnarok

Jarick Richardson

This is the next movie in the MCU which is where the other marvel movies are.

Fawks

Zac Cochrane

I went to a specialized math/science/technical school in New York called the Bronx High School of Science. During the spring 2016 term, Tom Holland came to our school as an undercover student in order to prepare for his role as Peter Parker. In the movie, Peter goes to a similar type of school, so Marvel wanted him to spend time with real math/science students. They gave him a real student ID and he attended full classes with one of our students for a few days. Nobody recognized him! This was before he was really famous. He had done a couple of big movies by then, but he wasn’t that popular with people our age yet. So he just blended right in. Besides the principal and that one student, none of us knew this happened until the movie came out and Tom Holland spoke about it in interviews. There are 4 photos of him in our school yearbook where he is interacting with groups of students. It’s funny that none of the people in those photos realized they were talking to the next Spider-Man!!

Joseph

It's a pretty big debate in the Spider-Man fandom but do you guys prefer the more low tech Spider-Man of the comics and the movies you saw with Toby and Andrew where he designs his own web shooters (Toby has Organic Web Shooters) and outfits fighting as a solo street level hero for a few years or the MCU rendition where Peter is taken as a protégé by Tony Stark a few months after becoming Spider-Man at 15 and thrown into the deep end with The Avengers and benefiting from having high tech equipment out of the gate? In the comics Peter does get to the tech stage we see in this film but that takes a few years so with the MCU they just fast tracked him. Marvel Studios originally wanted a more street level Spider-Man and they even came to Sony with the idea of adding Avengers Tower to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) which would've canonized those films as MCU but that never happened so the MCU Spider-Man had to be introduced much later on and plus this is really the first Spider-Man movie to feature the greater Marvel Universe so it's pretty different to all the past films, minus a little Doctor Strange joke in Spider-Man 2. If it did we would've had two films featuring Spider-Man doing his thing and then Garfield would've been introduced in Civil War where he'd no doubt be given a new Spider-Man suit created by Tony Stark. So it would be closer to that of the comics where Peter starts small like in the Toby and Andrew films and then introduced to the greater Marvel universe where he meets the Avengers etc. Also Michael Keaton is a great Vulture and it is very Meta that he got to play Batman, Birdman, and now Vulture. Vulture was also meant to be the main villain of Spider-Man 4 before it was cancelled so it's been a long time coming and I think Keaton does a great job with this rendition of the character. You could also see Vultures Wings in the Oscorp building in Amazing Spider-Man 2 but he never shows up in the film, same with Doc Ock. Most of the characters in his crew are also Spider-Man villains as well just not VERY early on. And finally Ned is great but he's pretty much based on another character called Ganke who is the best friend of Miles Morales but not Peter Parker. Ned from the comics was not really too connected to Peter compared to someone like Harry. Oscorp in general is never mentioned in the MCU so we have no idea if Harry or Norman even exist at this point. Overall I really enjoyed this film think Tom makes for a great Peter Parker and an amazing Spider-Man and this overall is really the only Spider-Man film to get High School right in how the students look and the overall tone and feel. The Spider-Man comics when Peter is in High School and College are very relatable but when you have 20 to 30 year olds playing high school students it just does not feel right but this film nails it.

Isaac

oh man i love these reactions checking every hour for a new one

Robinronaldo7
