The Mandarin is supposed to be the #1 archenemy of Iron Man, the same way that Joker is the archenemy of Batman. Imagine finding out that the Joker isn’t really evil, he’s just some drunk actor that an evil businessman hired lol. I just wish Marvel wouldn’t turn everything into a joke sometimes. The airplane rescue scene was EPIC though!

2023-04-17 00:53:27 +0000 UTCOkay so yeah this movie is really good, but a lot of people were actually kind of bothered by a certain twist this movie. Some people did not like the Mandarin twist. The reason is because in the comics, The Mandarin is Tony's like arch enemy. So they wanted to see a face off between the two of them, and they didn't get that. Having Tony go through Ptsd was such a cool thing to do to a hero, because at the end of the day, he's still human. And he gave his life, fully expecting to die in the Avengers. So of course it's gonna be a hard recovery after putting yourself in that mindset, then surviving. Tony definitely isn't only strong with his suits. This movie in particular showed that that's wrong. His power isn't in his suits, it's his head. He has the power himself. Even without a suit, he got himself into a mansion to find the Mandarin. So like, Tony definitely isn't nothing without his suits. And now Tony got the shrapnel removed. That means he doesn't have the Arc Reactor in his chest anymore. So now he won't need it to survive. It'll just be a power source of his suits, but luckily if something happens to it, he won't die now 😅 Also I'm surprised you caught it, but yeah Tony very briefly met Yinsen, the man who saved his life in the cave during Iron Man 1. He mentioned in that movie they did meet at a conference, but he was too drunk to remember. It's cool to have that come back. So the next movie is indeed Thor: The Dark World. Can't wait for the reaction guys!

2023-04-16 21:20:27 +0000 UTCYea, I'll agree on the slow start. Although once you get into it, it becomes clear why the show started at the 'pace' that it did haha. But god damn once they find their stride... Season 4 still remains one of my favorite things to come out of the MCU.

Even just watching the first two seasons (which tie into the movies), would be a treat. It must be said though: It's not _required_ watching to follow the larger story, and it does start a bit slow with the first couple of episodes introducing all the characters.

2023-04-16 20:49:46 +0000 UTCOkay so now that you've watched this movie I can finally suggest it: Even if you don't do it for reactions, although I'd love them... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch the series 'Agents Of SHIELD'. It picks up after IM3, and the first 7 episodes take place before Thor: The Dark World. Then the next ~8 episodes take place before the 2nd Captain America movie, and then you can finish off the season. The first ~2 seasons of the show have some tie-ins to the movies, but after that it starts to head off into it's completely own thing. They wound up putting out some pretty awesome stories over the 7 seasons. You won't be 'missing' anything as far as major MCU storylines if you don't check out the show, but I can almost guarantee you'll love it.
