I promise you guys the X-men movies get better, this is one of the worst ones, please continue this journey

Simon

Super late and I'm a new patron, but I definitely think you should continue the X-Men movies. I see you're juggling the Spider-Man movies, this, plus the MCU. Maybe finish the Spider-Man movies, since there's only 2 left for Tobey Maguire, then 2 more for Andrew Garfields' Amazing Spider-Man movies. After that, maybe you could do the X-Men after you finish Phase One of the MCU? Not sure if the phases have been explained to you guys, but after Avengers, you will have finished Phase One. So then you could focus on the X-Men? Or just juggle them both I guess. There aren't as many X-Men movies as there are MCU movies, so just whatever works.

I am a huge fan of the x-men series ( from the original comics, and uncanny x-men. The concept when it cam out in the early 60's was a conection to teens (and anyone feeling prosecuted because of race religion, and sex) by society. Wondering if/ when they do the Rougue storyline on how she gets more of her powers ( no spoilers)

Rudolph Koch

Yeah, Storm is easily on if the most powerful mutants ever.

Flick Freaks

Lmao, I love how long it took you guys to realize that my favorite character Storm was played by the goddess that is Halle Berry. They just never gave her enough to do in these movies, but X-Men remains one of my favorite series and I would still pick them over the Avengers any day. And on the matter of Storm, any fan of hers will tell you that she's much more powerful than she's portrayed to be in the movies, they actually goofed on her quite a bit. She's actually one of the most powerful mutants alive, as in an Omega-level class mutant. In her homeland of Africa, she was actually worshipped and considered a Goddess before she came to America. And in case you're not clear on what her actual power is it's complete control over the weather, which means besides the thunder and lightning that she controls she can make it rain or snow or any climate, and she can also fly, create tornadoes, suck the very air out of a person's lungs, tell me that's not OP, along with about a million little tweaks to her powers like freezing rain to make ice. There's even some cut scenes on YouTube that demonstrate her using her powers a bit better from the third movie The Last Stand where she created a freaking tsunami and then electrocuted a whole bunch of people in one shot, and I'll never stop being upset that they decided not to include them. But anyway, I sincerely hope that you guys will keep reacting to this series, at least up to Days of Future Past.

You forgot X-men: shitcalypse

Essentially Rogues white hair streaks are due to stress. There are instances when receiving enough stress will causes your hair to white. Magnetos machine activated a flight or fight response. The white in her hair is iconic in the comics too.

No way!! Tnx for sharing 😀

Did you notice that the actor who played Magneto is the same who played Gandalf? Sir Ian McKellen

x2 is great. Definitely need to watch 2 and 3. Its a trilogy

-NO SPOILERS- Hi. I love X-Men. They are among my 3 favorite superheroes: they are on the same level as Spider-Man, in my opinion, and below Batman (he's my favorite, and I consider Tim Burton's 1989 movie the best ever made about the dark knight, because it manages to make me feel the atmosphere of the comics, with a fantastic Jack Nicholson, the best movie version of the Joker in my opinion, and a wonderful soundtrack by Prince and music score by Danny Elfman). Returning to the X-Men (of which I hope you will watch the entire movie series), I can explain a couple of curiosities of this first film: - Rogue has white streaks because in the comics she was initially conceived as an "older" woman (say in her 40s). By the time they decided to rejuvenate her, her look had become iconic and they decided to leave her hair brown/white. - when Wolverine, as soon as he gets on the jet, says "You actually go outside in these things?" and Cyclops replies "Well, what would you prefer? Yellow spandex?" is a reference to the comics, where Wolverine wears a yellow costume with some dark blue details. - the student with the yellow jacket, who appears in some movies without ever speaking, is a very famous character in comics and animated series: it's Jubilee. A real pity that they have decided not to give her a greater and more important space in the movies, as she deserves. I advise you to pay VERY attention to the names (and nicknames, such as James "Jimmy" Logan, known as Wolverine) of the characters, because by continuing to watch the other movies the cast sometimes changes, in some cases even drastically (just take Trask for example who is played in "The Last Stand" by the actor Bill Duke, you will remember him in "Predator", while in "Days Of Future Past" by Peter Dinklage, famous above all for "Game of Thrones": the first is an African American 6 ft 4 1/2 in tall, while the second is a Caucasian 4 ft 5 in tall, COMPLETELY different and impossible to connect unless you remember the character's name). The X-Men are already known to enter the MCU, so it can be worth watching this series to familiarize yourself with the characters. I conclude by saying that I like them very much because, if you don't look at this series of movies superficially, you can understand how the relationship between humans and mutants in the X-Men is comparable to that in everyday reality between "normal people" and all those minorities who are NOT treated on the same level as them (for reasons of race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.). So I see the X-Men as a nice comic that explains, in its own way, how to deal with the everyday problems of inequality between people. I love them both for this and for the multitude of different characters, with various characteristics and powers.

Ya thats what I meant lol

Mark

the subscribers did tbf

David

How did you guys vote for Xmen over Alien?..................

Mark

X2: X-Men United is the next one, which you both should give it a shot. It was considered the best superhero movie at the time and still holds up today. Really, ya'll should watch the entire X-Men series. There are some hit and miss ones, but overall it will give you both more appreciation to the Deadpool movies and later on down into the later MCU movies.

Trey Mitchell

Based on them knowing Jackman with the beard, I kind of assume they've seen Logan.

Steve

That really is a question of quantity versus quality

unlit_ssunn

lol chill…X2, First Class, Days of future Past, and then Logan

Love the X-Men, actually prefer the team to the Avengers. The X-Men were much more well known compared to the Avengers pre 2012 from the amazing The New Mutant comics in the 1980s to new characters like Deadpool and Cable introduced at the start of the 1990s not to mention the amazing 1994 X-Men Animated Series. This is why Fox bought the movie rights to the X-Men as it was easy money while the Avengers no studio was interested in Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye or the Avengers in general besides The Hulk. This all changed with Iron Man in 2008 and the build up to the Avengers movie in 2012 making them household names. Also the X-Men movies are not connected to the MCU but Marvel did try to connect them together when they started working on the MCU like Iron Man 1 having a delete scene where Nick Fury mentions "Assorted Mutants" just to tie the two worlds together like the comics. But legal reasons and Fox being pretty tight on the rights this scene was removed. It also had a nod to Spider-Man as well "Radioactive Bug Bites" imagine they tied to connect the MCU with the newer Spider-Man movies as well. X-Men movie came out in a time when Comic's and Superhero movies were still pretty niche at least compared to today so a lot of the more comic aesthetic was lost in hopes of pulling in the more mainstream audience. The outfits for the X-Men were very... different instead of each member having their own unique custom outfit the X-Men were all given Black leather. This was post Blade and The Matrix so everyone had to wear black leather lol Kevin Feige who was 26 at the time was promoted to associate producer on the X-Men while in development. Kevin actually pushed for Comic outfits but no one listened to him thinking it would turn off the mainstream audience, Magneto is the closest to his comic counter part in terms of design. Also as I love this behind the scenes clip here's a youtube video of one of the stunt guys wearing a Spider-Man costume on the set of X-Men (2000) Link: https://youtu.be/awNFzpCvF18?t=9

Isaac

agreed

matthew bremmer

I'm almost tempted to tell you skip the rest of the X-men movies and just head into "Logan" blind.

unlit_ssunn

If y’all wish to continue like with spider-man movies you might want to watch all the x-men movies cause it’s gonna help you a lot when you get further to the MCU movies

Jarick Richardson

Can you guys please do either Gran Torino or Alien next
