HEY Rangers, here is early access to SPIDER-MAN hope you guys enjoy!!

SPIDER-MAN (2002)

Comments

Harry dating MJ was not wrong, no person (including Peter) has any right to claim another human, especially to lay an indefinite claim that he never even acted on. The way MJ treated Harry was shitty, and the way Peter decided to start flirting with MJ after he found out that she was with Harry was shitty. Also, i feel like everyone always glosses over Jameson's protection of Peter in the face of severe harm (possibly death) when the Green Goblin was threatening him to get the identity of Spiderman's photographer.

Grew up on this trilogy of movies as a 2000s Baby so this was my childhood. Correct there's technically three Spider-Man each set within their own universes. Toby Maguire Spider-Man | Spider-Man 1, 2, 3 | Earth-96283 Andrew Garfield Spider-Man | The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 | Earth-120703 Tom Holland Spider-Man | MCU | Earth-616 previously designated as Earth-199999 Each of these Spider-Men exist within their own universes so each will have their own origins and series of events both similar yet different at the same time. Sam Rami did have plans for a Spider-Man 4 with Toby but it was cancelled with Sony rebooting the franchise with a whole new cast with The Amazing Spider-Man. Then Sony ran into trouble with that new franchise so Kevin Feige the head of the MCU came to Sony and convinced them to allow Spider-Man to be used in the MCU which they agreed on only if they create a new Spider-Man with no connection to the past Spider-Man movies. Sony is now working on a bunch of other Spider-Man related projects for example Madam Webb which is rumoured to showcase a whole new Spider-Man. So who knows what Sony is doing with Spider-Man. The movie is pretty comic accurate from Peter being bitten by a radioactive spider at 15 when on a school trip (General Techtronics exhibition in the comics but unnamed research institute in the movie) to him encountering an ad offering a cash prize for lasting three minutes in the ring with Joseph "Crusher" Hogan. In the movie he fights an original character called "Bonesaw McGraw" played by real life WWE star Randy Savage. Only part not included in the movie is the whole TV entertainer aspect where TV producer Maxwell Shiffman observed his performance and convinced him to go on television commissioning a suit and everything. In the movie it's never explained where he got his suit but the Spider-Man movie novel explains that Peter had a tailor create a suit from his drawings. This leads to him not bothering stopping a passer-by burglar as the fame of starring on TV went to Peter's head. Hours later the burglar just happens to break into Peter's house which ends up with uncle Ben getting shot. In the movie this happened right after the 3 minute fight and instead of Uncle Ben dying at the house he is instead shot and car jacked. In both the comic and movie Spider-Man hunts Uncle Bens Murderer down in an old warehouse. The biggest change to Spider-Man is his web shooters or lack of web shooters. In the comics Peter built wrist-worn devices that use cartridges filled with web fluid giving him the ability to shot webs. But for this film they went with Organic web shooters in that his body produces web fluid that's then shot out of tiny holes in his wrist. This was taken from James Cameron's script for a cancelled Spider-Man movie from the 1990s. X-Men connection? I personally like to believe that the Sam Rami Spider-Man movies take place in the same universe as the Fox X-Men movies along with the Hulk, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, and Punisher from the early 2000s. Like an unofficial Marvel Universe. There is a Spider-Man cartoon on MTV called Spider-Man: The New Animated Series (2003) that was heavily inspired visually by the Sam Rami movies acting as a loose follow up to the movies but it's unclear if the show is really canonical. In the show there's mentions of the X-Men and Stark Industries (Owned by Tony Stark/Iron Man) along with an appearance of a Black Kingpin voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan who played Kingpin in the 2003 Daredevil movie. As this was an animated TV they could reference other Marvel characters while the movies were so divided up into different studios owning different rights it made it impossible for Sony for example to mention the X-Men as they'd have to go through a bunch of legal stuff with Fox. So the animated show kind of shows us what the movies could've been like if studios could make nods towards each other.
