Awesome reaction, perfect, actually!

Mr. Nobody

Love your reactions! If you are impressed with RJD now, you should do a reaction to the movie Chaplin. RDJ was incredible in it.

Ron K

I swear, whenever Vince is shocked or alarmed, I die. It's so funny. You know when Vince says "It's up for him" You know things are about to turn wild

There's a reason that all of these movies are so popular and loved by so many and I'm glad to see you both enjoyed the wonderful start to this journey! It's a really special type of film/tv universe that blossomed into a massive cultural influence and seeing two people who don't have tons of knowledge about it all is absolutely fantastic! You both have the best raw reactions and I can't wait for more!!!

DaftBasterd

Glad to see ya'll start the MCU journey! Hopefully you both will be able to get through it all without any spoilers. There is a lot to love with these movies.

This movie really did a lot to push Robert Downey Jr. into stardom. he was already fairly well known before this but had had a lot of issues with substance abuse in the 90's that got him into a lot of trouble and as such he fell out of favor with a lot of Hollywood producers and directors. It wasn't until the early 00's that he got sober (with an ultimatum from his wife Susan). His career gradually got better after that and he also got a small kickstart when he starred in the movie Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang (which I highly recommend), but even then, when Iron Man was being made, a lot of the executives and producers in Marvel didn't want Downey as Tony, and Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man, had to really fight for him to get the role. He knew that Downey was perfect for the role, because both Robert and Tony Stark had a lot of similarities in life. They were both people that had to face the darker side of their past as well as reinvent themselves. Also, they were both kinda "bad boys".

Excited to join y'all on this marvel journey. Fun fact the director of the movie got his inspiration for the suit transformation mechanics from the Transformers movies. He said so in an interview so it's nice y'all caught that and made that comparison haha

So just in case you don't know Iron Man is the first film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) a shared universe with the goal of connecting together a bunch of Marvel characters and storylines in a series of movies and later TV shows. These films all have post credit scenes so remember to wait past the credits as they hint to the next movie. Pre MCU (2008) Marvel movies were all been disconnected from each other with different studios owning the rights to certain characters this made it impossible to have any cross overs such as Spider-Man crossing over with Deadpool for example. The Deadpool movies you just watched for example aren't connected to the MCU exciting in it's own universe the Fox X-Men universe as Fox own the rights to X-Men since 1996 up until 2019 which are now back in Marvels hands. If a Marvel movie starts with "Marvel Studios" then it's apart of the MCU. If a Marvel movie starts with "Marvel" flipping through comic book panels such as Deadpool then it's most likely not apart of the MCU. Non MCU Marvel movies I recommend: Blade Trilogy (Wesley Snipes as Blade) Sam Rami's Spider-Man Trilogy (2000s Spider-Man with Tobey Maguire) Fox's X-Men (X-Men, Logan etc. Already seen Deadpool) The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 (Reboot with Andrew Garfield) Spider-Man: Intro the Spider-Verse (One of the best Animated Movies)

I agree release order is the way to do it.

SavageDiplomat

So, is this you guy’s official start of your journey of the MCU? It’s best to watch then in release order.
