2023-02-19 06:06:20 +0000 UTCEren made Grisha leave Historias dad alive because Eren knew that he would need him to kidnap Eren and Historia in season 3 so that Eren unlocks partial memories of this moment with Grisha, escape from Rod and have Historia made queen. It all needed to happen so that Eren would eventually kiss Historias hand and see the future. Seeing the future allowed him to orchestrarte every critical moment in the entire series so that his final grand plan would work. This episode is the culmination of the entire story

2023-02-19 03:25:34 +0000 UTCHere are a few nuggets you may or may not have picked up on: -Great pickup on noticing that Eren Kruger saw memories from Eren Jaeger in the future -Imagine how Gabi is feeling right now: from her perspective, she shot Eren, decapitated him, thought she had won, and literally one second later the Rumbling starts -Grisha is seeing Zeke from Eren’s perspective because he is seeing Eren’s memories while he is in the paths dimension (notice how Eren is always behind Grisha in those shots when he’s interacting with Zeke); that’s how Grisha and Zeke can also “interact” and have those moments, even though they’re not physically together -Ymir was a slave and had her tongue cut off, but even after she became a Titan and had her tongue grow back, she still never talked and we never hear her voice -I love how Eren never describes himself or his people as “Eldians,” but rather as “Subjects of Ymir,” because the Eldian King Fritz was the one who subjugated Ymir and was an evil tyrant -First time we see Ymir’s eyes is when she listens to Eren and realizes she is actually free -Flowers typically symbolize rebirth in AoT, and they showed a flower right after Ymir was killed by the spear and reborn in the paths dimension, where she remained a slave to Eldians for eternity -Zeke is part of the royal bloodlime and treats Ymir like a slave, the same way the Eldian King Fritz did. -Grisha was very sad after he killed the royal family and had his moment with Zeke. But as y’all pointed out, that’s when the accrual show started (timeline wise). Grisha had some resolve then to go back and not give the Attack Titan to Eren to potentially subvert the terrible future he saw, but when he arrived back in Shinganshjna and realized Carla had died, he told Eren to “avenge his mother” and gave him the Attack Titan. If you rewatch S3E11, you can see this whole interaction play out, now that you have the full context of what Grisha had seen.

Thats why she looks at him kissing the other girl in jealousy. Thats why despite gaining insane power she returned to serve him instead of kill him, thats why she sacrificed her life to save him from the spear. Its textbook Stockholm Syndrome. My point being that she likely wasnt raped. As disgusting as it may be it seems like she actually wanted to be with him.
