2022-12-25 17:43:07 +0000 UTCthanks for reacting to this. haha. im glad you guys liked this movie. it was definitely one of my favorite action comedies. i actually didnt know about this movie until my dad recommended it to me so my whole family watched it in the theatres when it came out. also, im not sure if you remember but the Chief of the Department is the asshole CEO guy from Train to Busan so imagine my surprise when he did this role. haha. also, im not sure if the subtitles gave more info about the UDT blurb. but i believe the UDT is the korean version of the US Navy Seals so that one character is probably the more battle-hardened next to the captain. Also, its not hot pot. but its just good-old korean bbq. :) I definitely recommend. hehe. Korean bbq is*chef's kiss* Since beef is getting more expensive in Korea and is becoming more of a luxury. Hence, why people usually do this kind of thing for special occasion. The cheaper option is pork belly bbq. Oh this movie was also a remake of a chinese film. the original storyline was with shrimp or lobster, i believe. so they switched it out for korean fried chicken since korean people love fried chicken ever since it was introduced to the country. and we have American soldiers to thank for that. They taught koreans how to fry chicken since before then, Koreans would usually steam chicken. It used to be considered a luxury but now theres fried chicken places everywhere in Korea and its glorious. haha
