Attack on Titan world logic is surprisingly straight forward. Just think about how titans work based on what you know so far. HAHAHAAHHAHAHA ugh I can't wait for future reactions. They havent been able to talk about it because they were dealing with the female titan and then the whole reiner and bertholdt incident in seaosn 2 happened. Since seaosn 2 they have been training eren to learn the hardening ability so he can block wall marias hole from the first episode and once that is done titans cant come through anymore which will give them time to find whats in the basement. They have been holding off from going to wall maria because eren needs to learn how to harden first, its impossible for them all to travel there with a giant rock like eren carried in seaosn 1
