So how is it possible that Annie was involved in his death when we know a titan ate half his body??????? (Obviously I know the truth but this is for sheshana and Vince to theorise)

Jean found his dead body and was traumatised that one of his best friends died giving him the determination to keep fighting in MArcos name 4. Annie found his gear and used it to avoid suspicion YES dont forget about him because he is mentioned more throughout the series
