[YT Edit] Superman (2025)

Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for "Superman (2025)" which will premiere a bit later!

Comments

The only reaction in the past 10 that it’s trailing the pace of is for the first 24 hours is Game of Thrones eps 9-10. It’s outpacing Batman v Superman by about 5k

Cole Jennett

77k in one day on YouTube.- good numbers, especially considering how many people have already done reactions to it.

We saw this in this theater second weekend because we were in Indy. So that scene were he was vomiting that stuff out. I had sudden flashbacks to the movie Raw (2016) which is a French horror movie. Which actually turned out to be really good, it's the only horror movie (I have seen close to a thousand.) That's has ever made me vomit. When watching Raw (2016) I had flashbacks to when my friend and I were in Auschwitz in Poland and seeing all that hair. When seeing Superman do that in the theater, I gagged. I know it sounds totally disgusting. However it's weird how scenes in movies can bring back PSTD inducing moments.

Zachary K.

She was amazing on that show. Not sure if she ever won the Emmy for it, but she should have.

Lex also has an "battlesuit," which makes it even funnier. There’s also Superior Iron Man in the comics. During the Axis event the morality of Earth’s heroes and villains was reversed by magic. So Tony Stark essentially becomes Lex Luthor.

#4, now Gary.

John Callahan

Possibly the greatest exchange ever captured on any reaction. Carly: “He’s like the bad version of Tony Stark.” Cassie: “But even more powerful. He’s got … monkeys.”

Just Plain Bob

Cassie, the ice castle is Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. DC Comics ripped it off from a pulp magazine character called Doc Savage, Man of Bronze. Doc Savage premiered almost a decade before Superman.

Just Plain Bob

Just knowing that Wash from Firefly is #4 is enough for me.

I don’t really get the Kryptonian tech complaint. Krypton represents what the future of humankind could look like, a scientific utopia, similar to films like Things to Come (1936). It was never meant to be 100% perfect and has many flaws in both its society and technology. Lex Luthor manipulates Kryptonian tech regularly and has even broken into the Fortress in multiple storylines. Superman’s pod being damaged on its way to Earth (or during impact) is part of several stories. Many stories feature Clark receiving incomplete or glitchy messages from his Kryptonian heritage. For example, Superman: Birthright had holographic recordings from Jor-El that were cryptic and incomplete. There’s also Argo City, a surviving fragment of Krypton protected by a dome, which Superman later discovered. It contained Kryptonian messages and artifacts, many of them damaged. So again, I don’t understand how this film makes Kryptonian tech look like a joke. Lex Luthor, like in the comics, manipulates it. He creates Ultraman to gain access to the Fortress and uses other methods to access its database. It's consistent with how Kryptonian technology has been portrayed in the past.

bing bing bing bing bang popcorn!

Superman purists (myself included) didn't really like it. R.I.P. Richard Donner and Christopher Reeve.

My favorite part was the “Supergirl” reveal at the end with Milly Alcock of “House of the Dragon”. The movie comes out next year.

Darren Harrison

it irks me that they throw jor-el and lara under the bus. also kryptonian tech is apparently a joke now.

Lois Lane is played by Rachel Brosnahan, best known for the series The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. She also has a smaller part in Patriots Day.

So much fun. My Pop doesn't care for comic book movies, and he loved it. This is my favorite Superman movie since the 1978 version. Can't wait to see MAN OF TOMORROW and SUPERGIRL. 👍

Steven Perez

I like this movie.

Clay F

Superman 🦸‍♂️ As good as this movie is, DC characters are sooo powerful, I don't know if we will ever a movie showing their full strength. This was an awesome movie however, already checked out the full reaction 👌

Edgar Gonzalez

That came really fast. Props to the editor.

Chris Thom

I sent my mother this movie on DVD yesterday (yes, she an oldie) and I watched it forth forth time last night. Such a fun flick and this Nerd, who saw Superman '78 in the theaters, is excited to see this reaction. 🖖

Mark McKeever
