Yes to that fable idea. I think I read somewhere that George Miller said that Max could be played by different actors because each person telling the tale remembers him differently.

Ria Grix

I saw that too. Was it the one where Shatner, Kate Mulgrew, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes were lining up to get Cassie's autograph?

Clarence Newman

Saw pics of you at the Star Trek convention. Me and my son had intended to go but didn't make it. We did go to The Sphere last year to see a concert. My brother and family live in Las Vegas. Will be watching your GoT reaction (first two episodes) late tonight. Looking forward to it.

Fallout (2024) (8 episodes) is on my watchlist.

Cassie can use the same thumbnail face for the Sin City edit.😂

The title song for this movie by Tina Turner has Thunderdome in the lyrics. "We don't need another Hero (Thunderdome)"

Technically, George Miller did not direct all the Mad Max movies. He directed the last act of this movie with the train sequence, but everything else was directed by George Ogilvie. This was also not originally a Mad Max movie. It started off as something else but was repurposed as a MM movie. That would likely be why the tone is off and “%family friendly”

Leather clothing will endure as long as animals exist and easier to produce than woven cloths. The BDSM/highly adorned style would likely be reserved for the rich and powerful.

Don Diggler

Never seen this movie. Maybe clips, always wanted to get around to it. Only saw the newer two films.

Louis Chapman

I know, right? The wait for Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995) seems to be taking forever.

To answer your question, “What would happen to our civilization after a major apocalyptic event?” such as a nuclear war. It’s likely we would regress to a more primitive, tribal society. Historically, after major societal collapses, centralized structures tend to break down, and smaller, localized groups emerge. In these environments, cults, tribes, and factions with unusual beliefs and religions often arise, frequently centred around relics, people, or events from the old world. When the Western Roman Empire fell around 476 AD, many people in the Middle Ages who encountered Roman ruins sometimes believed the Romans were giants, due to the massive statues and grand architecture. An misunderstanding that arose because much of the engineering knowledge and historical context had been lost. Similarly, after a post-apocalyptic event, myths and legends could develop around surviving structures, artifacts, and landmarks. There’ll no doubt be enclaves of individuals preserving knowledge, thanks to physical books and, if possible, digital archives stored in protected locations like bunkers. But most people on the surface, over generations, would likely lose much understanding of the world that came before, leading to a significant gap in historical knowledge. I highly recommend Fallout (2024). It’s another great take on a post-apocalyptic world and explores many of the themes I’ve mentioned above. It’s set much further in the future after the apocalypse than Mad Max and is much more sci-fi, with a very cool art direction, and world history that I won’t spoil for you.

I haven't started yet, but I can say for sure... Two men enter, one man leaves.

Not the post I was waiting on, ha ha. The anticipation is fun though.
