someone who really liked this movie and was reacting to Guardians of the Galaxy made the connection and even I was shocked hahaha lol

An untapped genre for a popcorn poll are documentaries. A good candidate for this list is Free Solo which has drama, suspense and a little love story.

Shawn Hooper

I can't get over that opening scene. Still hits So hard as an adult, after traumatizing me as an eight year old and invading my dreams/nightmares.

Chris Thom

Bill W: I regret if I caused you any ... dissatisfaction. It was definitely not my intention.

Fun fact: At nearly identical points in their careers, action stars Clint Eastwood, Tom Cruise and Sylvester Stallone took up, respectively, mountaineering, rock climbing and rock climbing and became so enamored with the sports they asked their agents to find scripts with it in it (or, in Cruise's case, work it into a script). Eastwood ended up picking THE EIGER SANCTION, Cruise MI-2, and Stallone chose CLIFFHANGER. All the movies were big international hits. The EIGER SANCTION, in its time, was lauded as one of the most realistic depictions of mountain climbing/mountaineering ever put to film. Of course, none of these guys have anything on Fezzik in THE PRINCESS BRIDE climbing the Cliffs of Insanity while carrying three people, but that feat on its own is inconceivable(!).

lol....Love Cassie's compassion. Jean-Luc probably would be a good influence on Gollum. It might not take, though!

"...you are a hero, [or] , you are a idiot." So it's like Norm Macdonald's cliff diving joke- "It's tough to know who's better in cliff diving. Like, you see a guy diving off a cliff and you go, "Oh, man, a guy diving off a cliff! And then another guy'd dive- "Oh, there's another guy diving off a cliff there. But you can't tell who's better, y'know? Like, uh- if you survive at all, hey, you're a great- you're a great cliff diver there. There's only two classifications in cliffdiving. There's, uh- 'Grand Champion' and then, uh- 'Stuff On a Rock.' Very hard to make a comeback in that sport, I'll tell you that."

Cassie great reaction to a fun 90’s action movie. Climbing without a rope, alone, is called free soloing. It’s controversial. It’s a case of if you achieve a incredible free solo climb, you are a hero, if you fall and die, you are a idiot. I don’t think either are true. It’s just the way some people are wired, they feel most alive when they are in the mountains, on the edge, with Mother Nature all around them. “Free Solo” 2018 is a great documentary of Alex honnold climbing El Cap with no rope. But, the best Documentary for me, is called “The Alpinist” it’s about a wonderful young Canadian climber who is free soloist called Marc Andre Leclerc. Marc takes free soloing to a whole another level! Many of the other free solo and other great climbers including Honnold are in The Alpinist and even they are in awe of what Marc could do. Many Canadians are great climbers, it’s in your blood. so come on Cassie, put your climbing shoes on and give it ago 😬😆

She has not, Patrick, and flatly refuses to listen to me when I say that it's the greatest disaster movie of all-time. Steve McQueen and Paul Newman in the same movie, two movie studios combined because it's so epic, Faye Dunaway's industrial-strength boob-tape, high octane thrills from middle to finish - what's not to like? Time to tick the box, Cassie.

Clarence Newman

I saw this in the theater when it came out

Patrick Switzer

Which is not to say we need you to cut it or anything. I refer you to Pennygate in Big Bang Theory.

Clarence Newman

Have you seen Towering Inferno Cassie

Cassie has probably also forgotten Rooker from Tombstone. My favorite role of his was as a magical nanny opposite Dick Van Dyke. I've recommended Mississippi Burning in the past. Rooker's performance in this movie just grabs you by the b@lls. Or vice-versa.

Happy Hanukkah

Yeah the beginning scene was burned in my memory from childhood, but the rest was really fuzzy. Also thought it would be more about rescue.

Chris Thom

I definitely think she should watch it one day.

Cole Jennett

I have to say, seeing her watch this really made me wonder how she would react to something like "Alive." Such a hard movie to watch, but also such an amazing story (Alive, that is).

Bill W

Yeah, Inception's runtime was only half an hour longer than Cliffhanger and it's reaction length was 1 hour 4 minutes.

Hooray for Everything

This movie is not at all what I expected. For some reason, I was imagining an epic rescue mission. Of course, it's Stallone; I should have anticipated there'd be a bad guy. I certainly didn't expect John Lithgow, let alone Lithgow with a British accent. That guy can play any role, as far as I'm concerned. Stallone was in rare form and I loved that Cassie kept calling him "Rocky."

Stephen Dias

The actual reaction was under 27 mins, why so short? The movie itself is 1 hour & 53 mins long.

Joe J

"They" are changing the meaning from what it means to doing normal things without a phone or some such nonsense.

Mike Lemon

The winner Alex gave you ALL greats and classic suggestions to watch!! Loved Cliffhanger as a kid.

Louis Chapman

Hearing the phrase "raw dogging" out of our pure as snow Cassie was the chef's kiss.

Javier Hernandez

This is the first thing I remember seeing Michael Rooker in.

Stephen Last

Fun film and reaction still surprised you forgot about him being Rambo though.

Gray

He's gonna be rocking it better at 79 than you and me bro, lol.

Joe J

Clarence Newman 30min Clarence Newman 31min He actually did wait a minute too.

Hooray for Everything

Heads up, y'all: Cassie's dropping a new reaction! 😬 😄

Happy Hanukkah

OK, minute's up. Cassie, please watch Towering Inferno.

Clarence Newman

Wahey! One of my all-time favourite movies by one of my all-time favourite actors on my all-time favourite reaction site. I might leave Cassie alone for a minute.

Clarence Newman

Awww. Poor Sylvester. He is like 79 years old,…now.
