Yeah the low numbers of the reaction suprised me also, with the assumed age demographic of the channel i'd thought it would be a smash. Also pretty funny that alot of the comments think she is saying motherf*%$er when Wez pops up despite it clearly not being that lol.

Surprised to see this movie only did 53k in one day, while the supposedly less popular first Mad Max movie did 60k in one day. Even though I personally prefer the first Mad Max I thought because most people claim MM2 is better than 1 it would get more views initially.

I saw this movie first. Like the first time I saw Star Wars (IV: A New Hope), I was so blown away by the spectacle that I could hardly remember anyone's names by the end. I don't think I even heard the name Max mentioned the first time. Some very cool action scenes, colorful characters and, of course, Mel became a star.

If she skipped Thunderdome I would be fine with it, but I’m not going to be mad if she watches it either. Kind of a meh film to me.

Richard Maurer

You think an entire decade of film is “generally” overrated? What an odd opinion. Literally thousands of movies. And your like “Nah. Not for me”. I mean the 90s & the 70s are the big decades of innovation and new voices but I can’t Imagine judging a decade of film like that.

Stan the Man

Great reaction, I think you gotta watch the 3rd one now. Beyond thunder dome builds the world out further. Although I think road warrior is a better action movie than the 3rd one I still like it.

Kevin O'Donnell

While in general I think 80’s movies are overrated, this one proves that there are some great 80’s films.

-Beyond Thunderdome -Furiosa -Fury Road (re-watch)

Finally the ULTIMATE Cassie Movie has entered the chat.

Chris Thom

Beyond Thunderdome!

This, probably more than any other, is the template for post-apocalyptic, high octane, brutal action films. It has a budget of $4 million ($15 million adjusted for today), but you see every penny on the screen. No CGI, all crazy stunts, it's one of my favorite movies.

Steven Perez

After Thunderdome the next film to watch is Furiosa (2024).
