Upcoming!

Hey guys! What are you up to this week? Wheeling? Dealing? Sneezin? im sorry. Remember how I told you one of my kids had a dental emergency last week? Well the same kid a week later biffed it while rollerblading playing street hockey yesterday and knocked his two (adult) front teeth in half. Soooo that was not the best but thank heavens the kid's dentist was randomly already open presidents day so we didn't have to pay the emergent fee. Also good news they were able to make it look really good and natural! Other than that we are just recovering from our little trip, which was so fun and rainy but then our flight got cancelled, then delayed and we all got a little sick but I can only blame myself. Shout out to the TSA guys who watch the channel and were super nice but still made me throw 3 things away haha

Ok I admit the above patreon movies this week don't really go with our love month do they? Although Valentines is over so bring on the guns.....kidding! I'm sure we can find a little love in all three of these! A lot of you talked me into continuing with the APEs OG series. (picture a "you asked, we listened" commercial from me) I will watch more of the OG's by myself, and then Carly will join back in for the newer ones!

In other news did you see the Poppies Voting Form? It's up! It's Up! I have not looked at the results but have been told the votes are pouring in and that is so exciting. Remember this is a mock award show and just for fun! I saw some hilarious comments like "sure hope you win" and I always feel kind of silly that yes one of my reactions wins all the awards but I just want you to know i'm in on the joke too and I hope its a way to celebrate the movies and the community.

Reminder they will be held on 3.1.25!!

Hope you have a great week everyone, stay off those rollerblades eh!

Mucho Loveo

Comments

there's never ben a folk hero quite like davy crockett and you'll see why when you watch him take on a a;;igator battle an indian chief in a tomahawk duel and fight for frdom at the alamo as walt disney himslf proclaimed the story of davy crockett with its entertaining blend of drama humour and adventure will always be a colourful reflection of the fontier spirit

David

Please watch 'THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES' with Dakota Fanning. It is one of the best movies that nobody knows about

david wrong

We will see if Cassie agrees.

Clay F

Agree that Good Will Hunting is a rare exception.

Clay F

@Joe I figured it's prob way too intense to just pop up on a poll unsolicited. That's the concern - less "I hope she likes my pick", more "I hope my pick doesn't traumatize her".

ManVsMachine

I will chime in also with no re-watches please! When Carly makes an appearance, I want to see unseen movies for the both of them.

Joe

Mike - clearly a majority of these reactors, both new and established ones, are just looking at the major reactor’s YT data (Especially PiB) and copying them with no attempt to try something different - and that’s why most them fail or are failing.

Richard Maurer

@Richard - Are you saying you don't want a 30th reaction to The Princess Bride (where every single reactor has to make the same dumb-ass 'oh I couldn't think for myself in 2020' joke) or 80th Fifth Element reaction (a movie that was never good after the first watch)? I know I'm going crazy seeing all these channels (and, agreed, most of them are bad) all watching the same handful of movies. Where's the 187 (1997), Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Hunchback (1997), Miss Hokusai (2015), Power of One (1992), Spartacus (1960), World's Fastest Indian (2005), etc.? So many good movies just waiting for someone to watch them but so many people seem to only want the same ten for everybody.

Mike Lemon

Anymore I tend to look more for movie reactions that few, if any, reactors are doing. My exception to this is Lord of the Rings, and even then I only make it through a small percentage of the reactions, because so many of the reactors are just not very good. Less popular movies can do well for reactors, especially the lower tier reactors. I was checking out views from last year on KatWatchesHorrorMovies and was surprised to see the 1979 version of Dawn of the Dead had 52k views in 8 months and Dog Soldiers had 82k in a year. Those are good numbers for a smaller channel these days.

Richard Maurer

Would we able to supply enough for, say, Yorgos Lanthimos? Or even Guy Maddin? 🤨

Byrd N. Hand

"What's Up, Doc?" is still my top priority for Cassie to rewatch with Carly, to get it onto the channel in *some* way after her apparent botched recording of her actual first-time watch.

Byrd N. Hand

While I really like Sicario, my favorite of Taylor Sheridan’s modern westerns is Wind River. Spent a lot of time in Wyoming near the Wind River Reservation and just love that country. Hell or Highwater is my second favorite.

John P Tucker

For March please Please PLEASE throw Brigadoon in there somewhere!!!!

Tonda DaRe

Some of the longer-established reactors are just now getting to the point where they are starting to watch movies outside the very familiar titles of the reactorverse, I definitely don't want to go back to re-watching

Milton William Burray

This would be variety. There are no Good Will Hunting reactions by Carly. :)

Brent Petty

What is this obsession with not having variety out there? There are probably 50 reactions to Good Will out there, Gump is likely over 200 because *everyone* has to do it in their first five videos for some reason. There are thousands of other great movies, let's watch some of those.

Mike Lemon

That and Forrest Gump are probably at the top of my list for a rewatch with Carly...if she does any more in the near future. And maybe just something they both love but haven't seen in a long time. That could be fun.

Chris Thom

Cassie, since Carly hasn't seen Good Will Hunting, that would be a good February pick. It has a good love story, plus the math tie-in makes that flick right up Carly's alley!

Brent Petty

Right now, I’m the fat kid in kindergarten cop eating everyone else’s lunch’s and Richard is Arnie!……”all you do is watch YouTube edits?! You cant wait for YouTube edits?! STOP IT!!!!! 😂😂

Mark White

Stop asking about YT edits! They’ll get here when they get here! You guys really needed to be told off!!!!!!!!

Richard Maurer

Sicario is gonna be fun.

Erik Locquiao

The original Planet of the Apes are well worth watching.

David Spears

If we all bring the edibles might be time for some David Lynch on the channel. Or Kubrick.

Chris Thom

I'm thrilled that we're going to watch the original Apes sequels! Thank you, Cassie. You are in for a wild ride.

Silver Machine

Next package of edibles enters the postal system tomorrow, Cassie!

Chris Clarke

Usual "schedule" for full reactions is Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evening/night with Monday being a "make up day" if needed.

Mike Lemon

Most of it depends on her editor. How he's feeling or what's going on in his life. Pretty sure certain movies are a lot harder to edit than others. And then there's always some extra time devoted to appeasing the copyright police.

Chris Thom

Love y'all

Clint P

Lol yeah, I have noticed you getting told off! 😆 Like you Joe, mine is just a polite enquiry. So I’ve noticed over time the three movies or slots, on for full reaction, on one week, on Patreon, then follow up onto YouTube the following week. So, on Cassie’s weekly update page she does the first three movies are Patreon releases, then at the bottom of the page three movies from the previous week to go on YouTube. It’s been like that for a while, until the other week when Faceoff was delayed. So I’m guessing the YouTube edits( which I mostly watch) are just delayed by a couple more days? BUT, to keep certain people happy, I will say to myself….. “It will be up, don’t worry your little brain mark, be PATIENT!”😆

Mark White

Mark, I've been told off a few times for daring to ask about when things get posted...so I stopped asking, LOL. That being said I believe YT edits generally take 4-5 days to complete. We should get the edits earlier than we do IMO...but hey, that's complaining right?

Joe

Have worked it out that the YouTube edits take between 7 and 10 days. Usually.

Chris Thom

Are we going to get a YouTube edit for “Space cowboys”? Or is it a case of the tube edits are one behind because of the problems with “Faceoff”?

Mark White

I reluctantly agree.

Clarence Newman

Glad to help. No one should have to go through a Rhinestone fixation.

Richard Maurer

Yep, looks like she has. Disregard.

Clarence Newman

Your support has been invaluable, mate. I am almost cured of the Rhinestone one.

Clarence Newman

I assumed she already watched it....

Chris Retzlaff

Has anything helped your Cannonball Run/Rhinestone fixations?

Richard Maurer

im ecstatic over No Way Out, i think it is the most underrated spy thrioler of 80s/90s.........yes it is dated for its tech and you will get twist if u know cold war, but the acting is stellar and i hope u watched with Carly, but i think that on everything lol

christopher b swanson

SPOILER ALERT: Chris! I forgot all about that. I hate spoilers, but in this case, isn't it a good idea to give her a heads up on it BEFORE she watches the movie? She will definitely miss it otherwise.

Clarence Newman

@Clay, I think he gets a kick out of seeing her squirm. Makes for good reactions for us...not so much for her, LOL.

Joe

Seek help with thy affliction!

Clarence Newman

No Way Out is a good movie.

Clay F

popcornrequest also says "Seen" for Hell or High Water. +1 for Wind River (2017). I saw that in theater when released.

Clay F

He's a good influence - in prodding her to react to good movies of his choice and that I like. Expand her horizon. Also, not too bad with YT views, e.g., No Country for Old Men (192K).

Clay F

youre so funny BRING ON THE GUNS 😄😄😄

Sam R.

Whens Sicario? I'm excited

Chris

Cassie’s seen “Hell or High Water.” Or, at least, her Letterboxd says she has. Of course, it’s been wrong in the past.

Just Plain Bob

He's a pigtail-pullin' son of a gun. I bet he was the one who told Cassie and Carly that Officer and a Gentleman was a rom-com. 😂

Clarence Newman

This channel will reach its zenith when Horror of Dracula appears here. :-)

Richard Maurer

Same brother that was sure No Country For Old Men was THE movie for her. lol. I jest. But yeah he's probably like everyone else here that just wants to see his pick on the channel. Which is kind of adorable because it's family.

Chris Thom

Cassie's brother insisted she watch Sicario. Is he mad at her about something, LOL.

Joe

Please don't stop at Sicario. It's part of the American frontier trilogy. Hell or High water and Wind River are the 2 other movies in it. Phenomenal and highly praised films, they would be great reactions.

DustinChecksIn

I can't wait to see No Way Out and if she notices a certain party guest in the background...

Chris Retzlaff

Every reactor has their forté genre, in my opinion thrillers' are Cassie's

Milton William Burray

Sounds like you should spend less time on PHub

Milton William Burray

For a second I read Cassie’s post as her mother is a MCU nurse, lol. I thought she must be really busy ;-)

Richard Maurer

Hi Cassie. "My brother made me" should be a category to have in PIB. Just a random thought at 3 am.

Vlad D

One of Cassie and Carly's favorites. Cassie specifically said she's gone back and watched it multiple times.

Chris Thom

I think that's one of her staple comedy shows, Delford. She's probably seen it multiple times.

Clarence Newman

No Way Out is one of Costner's most underrated films. She's gonna love it!

Rodger Johnson

I would love so much to see you watch Ted Lasso! 😊

Delford Chaffin

Guardians 3 is pretty much universally loved. But even Thor L&T has plenty of defenders, as I found out in various reactors YT comments when I commented that it was the only MCU project that I found to be actually bad, But all this is a matter of opinion anyway, including YT hater critics. It wouldn’t change my mind if I was the only one who liked the post Endgame MCU. The “consensus” doesn’t change what I like or don’t like.

Richard Maurer

On the chat a couple weeks ago she said she got recognized at an NHL game. And at Costco a few times. And at a high school game I think.

Chris Thom

Also your little happening with your children there reminds me of when I was a young teenager, trying to learn lacrosse with some friends. One of them wiffed on catching the ball with his stick, and that super heavy lacrosse ball nailed him right in the teeth. Luckily, somehow, there was no damage to the teeth, his lips just got torn to shreds, and blood everywhere lol. Being a kid is definitely exactly for those kinda instances, especially for us boys.

Astraeos

Glad to be back on this Patreon. I'm consistently impressed with the movies that you watch, especially tackling some of the original Planet of the Apes movies. Never thought I'd see that. Since you've watched some more Charleton Heston now, I will highly, highly recommend Soylent Green. This is a pivotal movie, and I seriously cannot recommend it enough. This is the kinda movie that gets talked about in college courses, courses outside of Film Study specifically. Heston is amazing in it, as always, so is the supporting cast.

Astraeos

Escape and Conquest are definitely worth watching, but Cassie has to wade through the other two to reach paradise! 😉

cfb0453

Cassie will need a tissue or two for the ending of 'Escape' and if she gets as far as 'Conquest' I really hope she watches the uncut version.

Robert Evans

@Carol, I edited my post. All the OG sequels are 2nd rate films IMO. Be interesting to see how these films hit with Cassie.

Joe

Beneath--37% RT Escape--77% RT Conquest--52% RT Battle--36% RT. So I think "stepdown in quality" might not be accurate.

Carol_White

I like that you've decided to watch the OG Planet of the Apes sequels. It means that when you do watch the more recent reboot series with Carly we'll likely get to see a reaction with two different perspectives.

Jake McNulty

Sicario is widely renowned for a reason, but No Way Out is profoundly underrated. It's an excellent thriller.

Mitch M

Will you be changing your Pick-A-Flick then?

Jake McNulty

Collar bone things freak me out so bad. Makes me want to pass out. Insider is a very good. Would be great for the channel.

Chris Thom

Followed, obviously, by Max mon amour (1986). By the way, I can't believe I missed this Hugh Jackman movie! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086383/mediaviewer/rm2651035904/

Happy Hanukkah

It’s needs to be both “Which ways” I like the sequel too

Mark White

"I’m looking forward to some more 'ape'" Please do not read this aloud! "Cassie might like Russell Crowe as a fat blonde." Who doesn't?! But seriously, stop spreading such calumnies. As of 2022, the man still had the body of a Greek god!

Happy Hanukkah

She could substitute the last two for a bit of orang utan back story. I want Cassie to meet Clyde from Every Which Way But Loose.

Clarence Newman

All the OG ape sequels are a big stepdown in quality from the 68 OG...even the people recommending them agree on that.

Joe

From what I've seen, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is the only universally well-liked Phase 4 movie... and apparently Sony had more of a hand in its production than Marvel Studios itself.

Byrd N. Hand

Nobody cares about the Easter eggs. They are meaningless.

shaneth138

Nice when your PAF gets reacted to.

Clay F

For PAF, I never submit recent popular films, because these can win or place 2nd or 3rd on some upcoming poll. It's never important to me if Cassie likes the films I like, we all have different tastes.

Joe

And The Omega Man is a remake of The Last Man on Earth (64) starring Vincent Price. All three are derived from the novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson..

Richard Maurer

Sicario is a masterpiece. Roger Deakins’ cinematography in it is timeless.

Miguel Tapia

Will we see the other 25 in 2025 runner-ups Cassie? Frequency and High Fidelity came pretty close behind Space Cowboys. Would be cool if you would get around to the other two maybe later this Spring if you've got no room right now. I hope your boy isn't down in the dumps about the accident - I fell off a 7ft wall onto concrete and used my face to break the fall, badly damaging my teeth and terrifying my mother who said I came into the house complaining my hands were sore (I have no memory of this). 30 years later, it's just a hardcore story to tell people sometimes.

Archronos

Hey it was voted on a poll on YouTube during a premiere. So there is people who want the og Apes. I believe it was almost 60 percent of the viewers that day. So like always someone's garbage is someone's diamonds.

David Freese

It's a special kind of pressure when a film you've championed gets a reaction from Cassie. My fingers are crossed for you.

Clarence Newman

😆that’s true😆 It does show what a versatile actor he is. You couldn’t get a much more different character than his Gladiator/master and commander roles. Plus Pacino is awesome as ever.

Mark White

Mike, she could make a decision to watch the 4th after completing her reaction to the 3rd.

Clay F

Sicario was my February Pick-A-Flick submission. I went back and forth about whether I should; I'm genuinely nervous about how it would play out

ManVsMachine

The Insider is very good. Cassie might like Russell Crowe as a fat blonde.

Clarence Newman

Sicario! I like your brother's style. He would probably agree that "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg and "The Gentleman" with Matthew McConaughy are also great movies.

Murph3194

Brent, good point. If she can make it through We Were Soldiers, she could make it through Sicario. My comment was not in an effort to “protect” Carly but instead I was thinking for this one might be better if Cassie had no distractions. A good Cassie solo reaction. Also, being deferential to what Carly wants -- not to protect her -- but to just respect what she desires -- to not react to certain movies based on her stated boundaries and as advised by Cassie's team. Of course, here her availability may have been the issue and having nothing to do with content of the movie.

Clay F

Love the choices!! "No way Out" is fantastic! "Sicario" is very good, too! That one should be an interesting reaction. And continuing the OG Planet of the Apes is a great idea. The new ones are really good, as well!

Phillip Bates

Well, one of those is going to be a very interesting watch-along...

Cheshire

Too many mediocre sequels is a bit of a problem here.

Richard Maurer

Other than Thor Love & Thunder the MCU phase four movies are not bad, in fact some are really good. I don’t bother watching YT grift “critics” who base their reviews on trailers, or nothing at all, I make up my own mind.

Richard Maurer

The Will Smith movie is a remake of the Omega Man

Bill Maurer

I predict you're not gonna like BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES, but the following one (ESCAPE FROM PLANET OF THE APES) is very good, the best of the original sequels imo. SICARIO I'm not very big on, but NO WAY OUT is terrific. That one I get you'll like.

Stick Figure Studios

I wonder if Cassie knows that /s at the end of a sentence means sarcasm?

Richard Maurer

Sneezing for me Cassie once again! I think that puts me one ahead of you in the sickness race this winter! 🤧😆 Oh the joys of being a mum with boys!! When I was about 7, I managed to run into, at full pelt, a solid oak door and slice my chin open and I got thrown from a merry go round and broke my collar bone AND managed, in amongst that, to fall down the stairs, Twice! On my fourth trip to hospital my mum got questioned and I got asked if my parents were being bad to me! 😆 Sicario, Matt has a great taste In movies, but he does like putting his sister through it! I’m looking forward to some more “ape”, they are not as good as the first, but still worth a watch. Another great line up of movies. I will just say you might want to check out “The Insider” Russel Crowe and Al Pacino, great thriller/drama/true story. Think you would really like that one. Have a great week. Your the best❤️

Mark White

Dang that sounds like it hurt. Im glad your kid is doing better. And no worries about "love month" not being too lovey dovey, it's better this way really!

My_Cousin_Mose

Cassie 😊 xxx ooo My knees feel achy, I need to do them stress moves to restore knees health.

Mannygogou

Bobby Clarke?

Above Average Dave

Broken ribs are the worst. Hurts to sneeze, laugh, cough...breathe. Heal quickly!

Above Average Dave

SICARIO is stunning.

Mike LL

If she is going to watch the next 3 films she might as well watch BATTLE and close the loop!

Mike LL

I thought I pulled a muscle in my upper back a few weeks ago. Turned out to be a broken rib! A first for me. On the mend, but sneezing is painful! But I think I would prefer a broken rib to a back injury. Don't get old, Cassie and Carly!

bgb1975 (Brian)

It is a whole Planet full of Apes, after all. 😏

Mike LL

The original one and only

nick bell

No Way Out is the movie that came out later the same year as The Untouchables came out in 1987. That success put Costner on the A list for movie roles he got offered.

Keith Brown

Do you get recognised a lot out in the world?

Milton William Burray

👍 No Way Out 👎 Sicario (watched too many reactions over the last 6 months) 👍 Apes

Milton William Burray

If your brother made you watch Sicario then your brother is a good man, a true man of culture and taste. I hope your brother can get you to watch "Training Day" also.

Atreyu Auryn

I did not get to enjoy my adult term for very long

bknsty14

Make sure he takes really good care of them. I think I had nerve damage in one of them which eventually caused the root canal. That was just out of my control.

bknsty14

Never forgave him. That was 45 years ago. Then the guy dated my ex-girlfriend years later. He really had it in for me.

bknsty14

Cassie, I'm really sorry about your son's accident, but glad things worked out. Looking forward to Dazed and Confused.

Stuart Guthrie Jr.

Battle is not many people's favorite, but it does put a strong emphasis on the idea that "Ape shall not kill Ape" which becomes important later.

TheSingulatarian

I remember a kid at school who had one front tooth that was literally turned sideways - the edge was facing you as you looked at him. I wonder how you go about fixing something like that. If it was my kid, I'd send him to Tom Cruise's old dentist from the 80s. That guy was a magician!

Clarence Newman

Cassie. Tell your son that the same thing happened to the great Washington quarterback Joe Theismann (Byron Hunt headbutted him in the face and broke his front teeth in half). It's just something a tough guy has to go through. As for Sicario, It'll be a hard one for you but you'll be stronger for it. It's just something a tough girl has to go through. 😁 Not sure about these Planet of the Apes sequels. Even fans admit the quality is variable. I hope they don't end up wasting your time.

Clarence Newman

Its a masterpiece for sure. My fav movie⭐️

Jgeir

Yeah, I recently re-watched "Sicario" for the first time since its release (mostly to prep for Addie Counts' reaction to it) and I hardly remembered *any* of it. I vaguely recalled the confrontation at the dinner table, but that was about it. 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

She's watched plenty of clunkers for the channel at this point ("Howard the Duck," "Son-in-Law," "The Mummy Returns," the Disney Star Wars movies, a handful of the post-Phase 3 MCU movies, etc.), so, really, what's a few more? 🤷‍♂️ Personally, I'd say screw all this and go finish the Bond series first. 🤨

Byrd N. Hand

Three words: oh my gosh! All part of life's rich tapestry I guess! Prayers of protection for you and your family, lol.❤️‍🩹

Chris Clarke

Carly would be fine. She's watched (and liked) Braveheart, Gladiator, Gladiator 2, Fury, We Were Soldiers, and Lone Survivor.

Brent Petty

While I love Cassie/Carly joint reactions, I am kind of glad that Carly is not reacting to it. This one may be better Cassie solo.

Clay F

Bridge of Spies would be a good one for the channel.

Chris Thom

I think she reacting to only 3 -- and skipping Battle (1973)

Clay F

https://i.ibb.co/mnWt6sH/cheese.jpg

Happy Hanukkah

That's nice when your pick-a-flick gets reacted to.

Clay F

I think I saw parts of Omega Man. It reminded me of the Will Smith one where he's all alone with the zombies in the city.

Chris Thom

😆

shaneth138

You can never have too much Star Trek...unless it's the new stuff. lol. Anything after Enterprise is not really Star Trek in my opinion.

Verteron

Whenever I hear something like 'go team' I always hear it in Carly's voice now. lol

Chris Thom

Like I said, he hasn't missed yet. His next few will probably be good picks too.

Brent Petty

Yes too much Trek. lol

Chris Thom

Most of his top list has been watched already.

Chris Thom

To be fair. She did an entire year of Star Trek. I loved that stuff, but for people who didn't like it they thought it was too much. At most even with the old ones this is 10 movies. I can sit out a few weeks. Cassie might like the old ones, but I'm sure she'll love the new ones. It's just getting there will take a bit longer.

Verteron

Your Welcome ;-)

Larry Darrell

It's freaking expensive!

Chris Thom

NO WAY OUT is one of my favorite thrillers ever, great acting and great direction. And it's awesome that you are checking out the original APE sequels, they go in very strange and unpredictable directions. The standout actor in the series for me is Roddy McDowell, who played Cornelius in the first film; he skips the second film but returns in the third, fourth, and fifth movies.

Patrick Flanagan

Agree. It's a lot of apes for one channel.

Chris Thom

Thanks! And my daughter was a picu nurse out of college, now she does kids pre-op. It takes special people to do those jobs! ❤️

Bryan Fritchie

The post I had did last for like 7 years. Which is pretty good. But I also had to learn to protect teeth better.

Chris Thom

I definitely think Carly made to right choice 😂😂

Dean Holt

Sicario is about to take you for a ride. One of the sickest movies ever made - gorgeous cinematography, musically intense, powerful acting performances, and a plot executed to perfection. Looking forward to this one big time!

Bridger English

Oh I thought it was an internal murder mystery or something. Never seen it.

Chris Thom

Didn't say I was watching them. I've skipped a lot of movies lately. Which is why I was looking forward to the new ones. Just have to wait longer. No biggie.

Verteron

I think Carly’s done the right thing by not watching the other Apes films, I might watch the YouTube reaction on these to see what you think of them. No Way Out will be my first watch so kinda looking for to it. Also Sicario might be like a first watch as well as I’ve only seen it once and doesn’t remember to much about it 😂.

Dean Holt

Benicio on the poster made me think of Traffic.

Chris Thom

Actually you can skip the reactions you don't like, it's not technically illegal.

Patrick Flanagan

Hurray!!!! The rest of the original Apes series will be watched! Atta girl, Cassie! We will miss Carly not being there, but we understand that she can't make it for everything. Sicario?! Wow! Brace yourself for this movie Cassie. This is what Canadian director Denis Villenueve made after "Prisoners", and before the likes of "Arrival" and "Dune". What a tough fall for your child, that sounded painful. Did you at least have fun on your trip? Sending you lots of love and thanks for another week to be excited for. Yes, Valentine's is over, but you can still watch something from Carly's Romantic list. Please! :) ;)

Mark Vaderr

Meh. Might as well. They are OK. Just have to watch 4 more bland movies to get to the good stuff. 5 if we are doing them all and throwing in the Mark Walberg one as well.

Verteron

my moms a NiCU nurse for 35 years! they are the best!! I hope he busts out soon though! Congrats grsmps ❤️

Cassie

That makes one of us 😅

shaneth138

I know. These movies are so bad. Now we have to wait for her to get through weeks of terrible movies to get to the ones that actually matter lol.

shaneth138

hahahaha

Cassie

Thank you! Actually, let me clarify. It’s still in the same factory, it just I’m going back to my old team. I work for GM. I’m sorry by the way…🤦🏻‍♂️

Anthony Carlson

oh boy, the dentist did say….on boys these will probably break again 🤦‍♀️

Cassie

You ruined everything lol

shaneth138

Noooooooo I was sooo looking forward to the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The original sequels are so bad.😆😅 But Sicario is a pleasant surprise at least!

shaneth138

Welp lol I stand corrected. They seemed to genuinely love it rather than just politely liking it. Good job team!

Paul Cox

that’s pretty awesome! i’m going to tell him that! and congrats!

Cassie

I don’t really see how watching some very mediocre movies will make a difference to for when she watches the new ones. It’s also not like TNG as the old films aren’t connected to the new ones, other than a few Easter eggs and some nods here and there.

Dean Holt

She made the right choice. Rise is a loose remake of Conquest. She will get the Easter Eggs in the new films.

TheSingulatarian

Starting to feel like your brother and I are the same person, based on a few things, mainly taste in movies. "Sicario" is my Pick-A-Flick and was going to be until it got watched... Now I need to go re-submit... and that's not a bad thing. Also, I get the teeth thing, one of my nephews fell in the bath as a youngster and he didn't have some of front teeth for years until he a bunch older and the fall even damaged the adult teeth as they were growing. Wasn't until braces were involved they got all fixed up.

Mojo One Thousand

I would like a motion to have him be a guest on a video one day…

Anthony Carlson

Cassie, I hope your boy feels 100% soon. I'm in my 40's and the thought of that happening to me makes me shudder. Glad the dentist was open!

Brent Petty

I want to suggest that Cassie and Carly's brother selects at least one movie each month going forward. I don't think he's missed yet.

Brent Petty

3 fights in 9 seconds of the first period is something you don’t forget. I love it! I heard people like the 4 nations face off better than the All Star Game format. I incline to agree…

Anthony Carlson

Thank You for watching the Original Planet of the Apes films. They are part of the Franchise. They created the Fandom. Without them, there would be no modern films. They’re pretty Doggone Entertaining too. And they Do Not Spoil the new films. The new ones have a completely different chain of events. About your kid’s teeth… has he ever heard this song… “All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)” https://youtu.be/I-iFsxSNN2c?si=HxGrDivCR9GKZj23 How was his Whistle before you fixed them? ;-)

Larry Darrell

No Way Out.

Brent Petty

More or less.

Brent Petty

Sicario may not go with the love theme, but it's still easily the best film you will watch this month. Shame Carly can't watch it too.

Brent Petty

Well, I start my new job (I work at a car factory) next week and it’s actually my old job I was on for 2 and half years so I’m happy I’m coming back home. Losing teeth like that is one of the risks of playing street hockey. A hockey player one time said: “My teeth weren’t that good to begin with, so hopefully I can get some better ones.” Duncan Keith Edit: I meant to say I got a different job within the same car factory and this job is the one I was on for 2 and a half years. My bad folks 🤦🏻‍♂️

Anthony Carlson

Space Cowboys over Frequency and now Beneath the Planet of the Apes instead of watching the good newer ones? This Patreon is wild.

Verteron

Glad your son's teeth are fixed with no lasting damage, poor little dude; dental issues are no bueno for anyone at any age. Movie-wise, I'm kinda pumped for No Way Out, I haven't seen that one in what feels like forever, maybe 15-20 years.

Ian Hunter (NewbieInOttawa)

Hello Cassie, glad your son was okay after going to the holiday dentist. Stay safe woman.

FranciscoGios

Definitely beneath the Planet of the Apes, as all of the originl 5 films of the planet apes all are a part of a long story, it is wise to see all five of them doesn't matter what other people say as it does make a difference if you see all of them the storyline will be complete and it will make more sense . Don't do the same mistake you did with Trek Next Generation as you missed out on so many great stories about the crew and their lives as it makes more sense if you see the complete story

Stephen Hearn

So sorry to hear what happened with your son's teeth. Glad he was able to get care.

Jakob Rygh

I am so glad you're going to watch all of the planet of the apes movies!

Joshua Garrett

I think some of the original PotA sequels are fun movies but it’s hard to live up to the original. Soylent Green and The Omega Man have the benefit of being fresh ideas.

Thomas Thompson

Hell yeah. Brother coming in clutch. Sicario is a good one.

Joel P

The OG Apes also deserve a watch because of the wonderful Roddy McDowall, one of the most highly regarded gentlemen in Hollywood history. If Cassie ever gets around to watching “Fright Night”, I’ll be curious to see if she recognizes him from his distinctive voice.

Just Plain Bob

Griffith was nominated for the Oscar but didn't win. I like Closer.

Clay F

Sicario. I'm glad you listened to your brother on this one

Vlad D

Lol. I never realized that.

Rick Rodriguez

Is it about cops fighting the cartels?

Chris Thom

It's the comedy romance Harrison Ford cocktail that made it a big request for PIB.

Rick Rodriguez

The original one. The one I grew up with

Vlad D

Classic Mike Burke move!

Bill W

Cassie's brother is an absolute fiend for making her watch Sicario. Can't wait...it's one of my favorite movies of the last several years.

Michael

I mean the whole movie has endless moments of the like

Rick Rodriguez

I like Conquest. Which was reimaginaned in Rise.

Rick Rodriguez

It was definitely a big deal at the time (Griffith even won an Oscar), but it's romantic in an 80s way and not an all-timer way.

Paul Cox

The adult front teeth should come at like 23 probably. 2nd grade or whenever is too soon.

Chris Thom

Sicario? Did not see that one coming. Hard watch, but a good movie. Sorry about the tooth incident. I hope you like No Way Out, it's a really great watch. Thanks for all the great content.

Michael West

Cassie will LOVE Sicario /s

Richard Maurer

Cassie, (PLEASE SEE THIS!) I think you owe it to your kids to watch another hockey movie!! I recommend: Mystery, Alaska (1999; Russell Crowe, Mary McCormack, Hank Azaria, Burt Reynolds) It was filmed in Canmore, AB - Quarry Lake Park. And it has a non-mushy romance arc.. so it's perfect right now...Valentines month, the Four Nations NHL Tournament. And it was made after 1995, so it's suitable for Carly as well! 😀

Bill W

A thriller. Suspense mystery espionage thriller. I wouldn't read too much about it. People tend to spoil it.

Rick Rodriguez

Broke my two front teeth in 3rd grade. Playing around during recess and Mike Burke jumped on me and Bobby Jacobs. My face met the asphalt. Broke my teeth in an upside down V. Now have a veneer on one and a root canal and full crown on the other. I have not had good luck with my teeth. Enjoying the cold weather in Dallas this week. Wishing for some snow, but probably not going to get it.

bknsty14

1970s Sci-Fi was dark. Beneath the Planet of the Apes may be in contention for the darkest ending in not only in Sci-Fi History but movie history. You thought the ending to Planet of the Apes was a mind blower. Paul Frees famous for countless cartoons voices, the Ghost Host on the Haunted Mansion ride and appearing in other Sci-Fi Classics like the 1953 War of the Worlds and Colossus: The Forbin Project is only in the film for under a minute, but his part is absolutely chilling.

TheSingulatarian

No Way Out is an action movie?

Chris Thom

Much rather see them than the PotA sequels.

Richard Maurer

I second "Soylent Green". Great movie!

cfb0453

Cold War? Which one?

Chris Thom

Happy your also continuing Planet of the Apps😊

Matt

Sicario is so amazing cant wait for your reaction

Matt

Cassie, how did you know I was sneezin'? Very peculiar! Sorry to hear about the little ones and their fangs getting knocked out, that is unfortunate. Boy, they really are in the wars recently. The joys of childhood I guess. So happy to hear that you are continuing on with the OG Planet of the Apes films. Each movie adds a piece to the puzzle, and it all leads back to the original with Charlton Heston! Kinda like "Back to the Future" so don't listen to the naysayers. "Sicario" is an outstanding thriller with everyone involved in top form, can't wait for that one. As for "No Way Out", hot! Hot! Hot! I'm not sure that you're going to be able to handle Kevin in this one Cassie. After I watched it many moons ago, I had to question my orientation. Make sure you have the air conditioning on. 😉😁😊

cfb0453

Sorry about the teeth not fun in my eyes. But I like the lineup and am glad you stuck with OG Apes for awhile. Can't wait!!

David Freese

I saw it after Closer and some other Mike Nichols movies and looked it up because of him.

Chris Thom

Sorry that happened to your kiddo. 😞 It will be a story that your family will share for the rest of your lives though! I've also given you a few personal updates myself (The marriage of my daughter about a year and a half ago, and my birthday last week). Well, my birthday steak dinner got interrupted by the birth of my grandson. (3 hours before my bday, the little stinker!). He's in the NICU right now learning to eat, but we're hopeful he'll get to come home soon.

Bryan Fritchie

Absolutely awesome week. Great that Sicario is in the mix. Glad your brother made you. Very much looking forward to the Sicario reaction. Sicario = my favorite Benicio del Toro performance (among his several good performances across his movies). Glad your kid's teeth repair look really good and natural. Interesting you crossed paths with TSA agents who watched the channel. You getting noticed more in public. I submitted the Poppies Voting Form. I think reacting without Carly to the first 3 OG Apes sequels (and skipping the 4th) is good. Many were asking for them, and will be kind of a novelty.

Clay F

Ooh sorry about the tooth incident. For me it was a pogo stick incident at 12 in the garage where the rubber piece at the end broke off, the metal slid on the slick floor, and I did a hard slam face first into concrete. That ish HURT. Braces held it together for a while, then I had to get a post, then last year finally got the bridge. Good times! Looks like we're stuck on apes for the foreseeable future. Also I need to see Sicario. Never got around to it.

Chris Thom

Two great Sci -Fi movies

Bill Maurer

Excellent lineup! I love cold war flicks!!

nick bell

Looking forward to Vacuuming lessons 😉

Curtis Martin

No Way Out is a good movie, that will be fun. I've no real opinion on Planet of the Apes as I barely even remember the first one. They were never my thing. Looking forward to the new ones, though. Curious to see Cassie's response to them as they have a totally different feel from the originals. Which brings us to the real meat and potatoes this week. Sicario. That movie gets better and better, every time I see it. I'll be looking forward to that one.

David Collins

Celeste McAllister

Wow, Wow, Wow what a line up! Wondering what you will think of BENEATH. Are you ready for SICARIO? NO WAY will be really fun with two of Cassies’s faves. I can’t wait for any of them!

Mike LL

Does your kid play hockey? If not, maybe he should. He already has a head start on missing teeth.

Shad Kanyak

I think it's time for Cassie to watch Mr. Brooks

MrKsummer7

I like Working Girl and I'm looking forward to your reaction, but out of all the romance films that exist I simply do not understand THAT ONE being the most requested. People watched too much HBO as children.

Paul Cox

I did the same thing at 19 lol , Have nieces hockey games tomorrow and on weekend , but also looking forward to the poppies! Of course! Can’t wait!☺️

Jason Henderson

All great!!! And Thank you!!! Sequels is a journey that should be taken

Chris Retzlaff

Sicario is awesome, smart brother

JohnnyUtah

I'd love to see her face when watching the beginning of Sicario 😈

Redrum Ritual

Yessss. I think Cassie is gonna love No way Out. Sicario though, I have no clue. Can't wait. With Beneath its a little bit retread of the first but worth to get to the next 2. Hope the little guy is doing well and he'll be eating hard candy in no time.

Rick Rodriguez

So glad to see Cassie is continuing her OG Apes journey. The remaining films in the original franchise are well worth a look. Not as good as the original, but good nonetheless.

Just Plain Bob

Classic Matthew alright alright alright and My fair lady too

Neil Varma

Nova, from the Planet of the Apes, was the mother in “Cocoon”. This is a weird sequel, but ties up things from the first movie

Bill Maurer

Love it! Though I still vote for The Omega Man & Soylent Green.

Thomas Thompson

Yay, Sicario!

Alex Tan

Sicario will be an experience 😳
